Our waitress was AMAZING! SO attentive and kept our glasses constantly refilled. this is my 2nd time here and each time I have been so happy with the service & food. All my friends that I was with yesterday have all said they'd return too.
Very friendly staff. Good sized portions of well-cooked food for brunch -(except for the two tiny portions of sour dough bread). Good VFM on a groupon
Great food, not a large menu but good choice for the non picky, allergic types. Good atmosphere with a singer, service attentive and in all good value for money.
Lovely place and friendly staff.
My friends and I had afternoon tea here and to be honest we were pretty disappointed. The restaurant was very quiet but we had to wait ages for our included prosecco to arrive. We had along discussion with one of the waitresses with regard to the choice of sandwich fillings, which was lovely, except they didn't deliver what was promised and basically we had two plates of sandwiches, the majority of which were ham and tomato. We had one cheese and pickle, one smoked salmon and one other, and this was between 4 of us! We had 2 scones each ( bought in I think) with jam and cream, followed by a rather sickly collection of "cakes", which were more like desserts than cakes and all of which had chocolate to varying degrees. If we had paid full price for this we would have complained but as we were on a Groupon offer, we didn't bother. All in all it was very disappointing, no wonder the offer is still on Groupon.
All staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive. I came with my girlfriends for afternoon tea and it was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. All of my girlfriends have said that they really enjoyed themselves. Thank you ever so much.
Walked in at lunchtime to find it very empty of customers. The staff were pleasant and keen to get us seated. We ordered drinks though we had a Groupon voucher which included a glass of Prosecco and 2 course lunch. The menu is very sparse and could only chose 1 of 2 mains. Both of which were burgers. The burger was ok but I did say no salad but it came with salad. What a waste. At the end of the meal i was given a bill for £22... 2 drinks plus a £10 service charge! Avoid this place unless you want absolute silence and a hefty bill.
great bottomless brunch, particularly impressed by the cheery and efficient service from the young looking waiter!
The meal was very disappointing on every level. Staff were disinterested and at times abrupt. Your barman thought it would be a good idea to substitute pineapple juice for low quality apple juice in a French Martini cocktail. Won’t be coming back.
The service was terrible, the food wasn’t very good the kitchen were so loud and the food was terribly expensive for what it was, overall it was hugely disappointing.
Afternoon tea was average. Sandwiches were horrible and when I asked for vegetarian I just got more of the same. Scones were small, cakes were mediocre. Tea pot leaked, we was timed on the prossecco and received no water when I had asked. No on site parking, meter outside was broken and I received a parking ticket when I asked the hotel they were very unhelpful and said the machine had been broken for weeks! I would not return. No thank you. £49 wasted not vale for money at all!
We had an awful experience. We waited 10 minutes to be seated in a sparsely occupied dining room. We placed a simple order- 2 waters, a Caesar salad, and an appetizero with a waiter who never returned to our table. After 25 minutes and no water, my husband went to the bar to get it. We then complained to both the restaurant manager and the hotel manager. The hotel manager confirmed that we hadn’t been served and sent to speak to the restaurant manager. The restaurant manager then came to us, saying our waiter had had a stressful day, and that he would oversee our order. We waited another 15 minutes- still no food. We complained again and were assured that our order would be ‘moved up and prepared next.” When our order finally came out, it was messed up. My husband’s Caesar salad had no dressing. My “scallop and chorizo sausage” appetizer had no chorizo. We complained one final time to both managers, then left. We also saw 2 other diners complain, and an argument between a manager and the head chef at one point.
Great potential but poor customer service let it down for us. Hopefully things will get better with time
Pretty environment, customer service was great and the food was nice. Good value for money and I would go back again and also recommend to others.
We were a bit put out on the excuse of running out of proseco was, everyone was drinking a lot and, we didn’t expect to run out. But the cleanliness and service was acceptable. I’m happy to go back.
We were very impressed with the service and will definitely recommend it to our friends.
Unfortunatley I cannot submit detailed feedback as we did not stay to eat! The resturant was pretty much empty, so we didn't feel particulary comfortable but we would have stayed despite this. The reason we left was because having booked online for the 3 course Sunday lunch we were told by the waitress that this was no longer on offer and 'should have been taken off the website'! There is really no excuse not to offer us what we had booked, it is not the customers fault, or concern, that you cannot keep the website updated.
Great food, lovely restaurant
Great food third visit and always good quality food. The Manager is polite and friendly. The staff were helpful. The restaurant had a nice relaxing ambiance. I have already booked to go back in November. A satisfied customer.
