About Harringtons on the Hill
Select the finest and freshest ingredients, prepare them carefully and serve them simply and well. These are the skills learned by head chef Ryan New during his seven years at top London restaurants Langan‘s Brasserie and Langan’s Coq D'Or under the watchful eye of leading chef and restauranter Richard Shepherd.
Couple these exceptional culinary skills with the warm and friendly atmosphere of a small, almost rustic, restaurant and you have Harringtons on the Hill in Kenilworth.
There is nothing pretentious about this delightful restaurant. What you see is what you get - an uncomplicated high quality menu and a warm welcome.
The friendly and professional team can cater for any occasion. There is an upstairs for private dining. Whether it is for a morning or afternoon meeting, a birthday party or even that ultimate special day a, wedding celebration, Harringtons can do it all. A menu can be tailor-made to suit all guests needs and a perfect function can be organised whatever the specification.
Situated in a picturesque bow fronted cottage opposite Kenilworth Castle, the restaurant is the ideal place for a memorable dining experience.
Quite simply great food at excellent value.
Always enjoy this restaurant. Very busy yesterday and service was not as good as usual however food was excellent. I asked for a good table as celebrating and we had a table in the window, just right.
Harringtons is a favourite restaurant to visit for lunch. Service is friendly and the set menu offers good value for money
An excellent long, relaxing lunch. As always, great food and the best service! Why would you think about eating anywhere else around Kenilworth....we wouldn’t!
Excellent lunchtime menu with great service.
Starters got mixed up so we ended up with two shame as we were then not that hungry for our main course
great place to eat and meet, food always freshly cooked and hot, personally recommend the lunchtime fish and chips etc.,!!
Really lovely (and very popular seemingly from how busy they were on a Wednesday) restaurant that we chose for our first meal as a married couple, chosen purely from the reviews previously left; we weren’t at all disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and we were made to feel very special. Highly recommended !
The staff and service were really and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Most of the food was excellent but the steaks were a little tough and tasteless for 40 days aged as per the menu.
Lovely meal with polite staff. Food was bought out very quickly after ordering. I may have liked a bit more of a rest between courses to let my meal go down a bit. We also ordered one drink that we were told you didn't have so ordered another drink but then were told you did have the original drink after the second drink had been served, I thought you may have took the cost of the drink that we didn't want off the final bill. We still had a nice evening and this did not spoil things in any way. Would definitely eat here again.
Good food, great service, nice ambience. Will return
Not a great start, a very hard and dry piece of bread: very poor attention to detail. Later the bread served with fish was also less than fresh. The “surf and turf” was disappointing. The steak was just too chewy. Sadly we shall not be going back. House Rose was good.
Beef from set menu was disappointing. Slices of beef with a few roast potatoes and no veg. Was just ok. Pudding was delicious though.
Never disappointed visiting kenilworths Harringrons on the Hill.Table for 2 with 2 courses & 2 drinks under £30 for a quality lunch, thank you guys!
The only slight disappointment were the garlic prawns which were a bit tasteless. The rest of the food was very good. I have been to hattingtins several times and always enjoyed a good meal. Two of the party had not been before and they treacle enjoyed it too.
Lovely evening. Attentive staff, excellent service
A lovely little restaurant with excellent service. Nothing was too much for the staff. Food was exquisite.
Best fish and chips ever 👍👌👌, said my auntie Marie . I’m so pleased to have brought her to Harrington .
A lovely evening but feel that the food is overpriced.
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting. Staff very attentive and pleasant. Back again this week as live it so much.
First time at Harrington’s had family over from Vancouver and friends joined us. Had the best table in the window staff made us all very welcome with no pressure to eat quickly food was excellent thank you very much to all at Harrington’s for making it a great night to remember. Will definitely be returning as it’s our 30th wedding anniversary in October. Cheers. Keith.
It’s always really hot in the restaurant, limited kids’ drinks and had run out of a main component of one of the specials at 6.45pm. In saying that, we were given a free dessert to make up for it, which was appreciated. The food is ok, but nothing more than that.
Excellent as always!!
Excellent, freshly prepared food. Really good value. Highly recommended.
Very cosy and superb food.. perhaps a little gentle background music would be the only improvement I could think of
