About Hare & Tortoise Ealing
This second Hare and tortoise restaurant has been one of the busiest restaurants in Ealing Broadway since the opening of year 2000. Modern and warm wooden decor welcomes the diners with efficient service.
Amazing food and friendly staff
Lovely place lovely food
Really enjoyed our dinner, our waitress was excellent and knew the menu off by heart. Much preferred it less busy.
Great service, good food.
Good service despite covid restrictions and amazing food
Nice Food, restaurant in good location. Service could be quicker as we waited quite a while to be seated.
Great food. Curry laksa was phenomenal
Poor first impression. Server did not explain the ordering process, just showed us to table and walked away. This was rectified by another member of staff who apologised and from then on service was fine. Food was good!
Great restaurant with amazing food and good value for money with the quantity that you get!
I’m very disappointed We live outside London but because we love your food we do travel there every couple of months It took us 45 min to get to restaurant but unfortunately was closed because of power cut nobody try to get in touch with us and informed us by text email or phone I’m really disappointed with the treatment
The quality of some of the food is not worth the money you pay.
Great place, one of the favourites in the area!
Hare and Tortoise is perfectly fine but feels a bit like a canteen. It was incredibly loud on Friday, so much so, my boyfriend and I couldn’t really hear one another. Not the restaurant’s fault at all but it did impact our visit. Service was also really slow, we had to wait a long time and by the time someone did come over we were ordering food and our first drinks just to get going. The food is fine. We had the spicy chicken sticks, calamari, tuna sashimi, spider rolls and dragon rolls. The tuna wasn’t as fresh as other restaurants and quite tough. The spider rolls were not so good, they were very dry. The whole thing just lacked much flavour or zing really. Overall it’d be a 7/10 for me. I’d go again but it’s not great sushi. There’s plenty of better restaurants in Ealing and certainly better sushi to be found further afield.
I enjoyed the food and the staff was friendly I would go back there to eat and recommend there
Never a bad meal at the Hare & Tortoise! One of may fav places in Ealing. Good menu selection with very generous portion sizes and great quality
A firm family favourite of ours for some 20 years, Hare and Tortoise Ealing inariably offers high quality dishes in a friendly and efficient way, with a great informal atmosphere.
It was brilliant experience dining at hare and tortoise in Ealing, the staff were really welcoming and gave a great service, food was impeccable, credits to the chef. Thank you.
Service was fine but food wasn’t great. Much better sushi available in the surrounding area.
Very friendly staff, great service and they looked after you, did not keep you waiting for long after ordering food.
I was very pleased with the menu, staff, service and facilities. However, I was quite upset that the Seafood Ramen was unavailable. I came especially for this.
Great food as always. Steps taken to keep everyone safe while dining.
If you go early, it is always nice and quiet - food arrives fresh, hot and relatively quickly. It is my go-to spot for meetups with friends!
First visit after a long time, difficult to hear service staff with mask on. Maybe need to invest in digital menu for ordering
Great local restaurant
