A restaurant and bar in the Harbourmaster hotel on Aberaeron's lovely Georgian harbour. We're independently owned and have been serving the best of local produce at breakfast, lunch and dinner since 2002. Proud of our team of chefs led by Ludo Dieumegard and to be in The Good Food Guide 2018, for the 16th year. We specialise in Welsh seafood, locally caught whenever possible - lobster, crab, prawns. We serve oysters and have an Oyster Happy hour! We serve Welsh beef, lamb from local farms, great vegetables from organic producers. All served by a great team of local front of house staff.
Such a fantastic restaurant. Very welcoming & friendly staff. Great bar service and amazing food! We came as a family after our daughter’s graduation and all this together with the ambience made a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion. Thank you everyone!
When booking ask for a harbour view table If at all possible. The food was utterly delicious. Can’t wait to return.
Wonderful food but quite quiet. Not much atmosphere. Felt a bit forgotten and no one asked if meals were ok. I expect to be asked on sitting if I want a drink, not to be left for 10 mins then ordering at the same time as food. Otherwise, a nice evening.
1st class establishment, excellence in all aspects including service, food, accommodation, location and welcome. We will definitely be returning!
as always the perfect place to relax enjoy excellant food and drink complete with friendly courteous staff who all go that extra mile.
Superb food. Lovely atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Been coming here for quite a few years and it never disappoints.
Lovely lunch on Saturday 14th July. Offered restaurant and bar tables. Sat in the bar wonderful friendly atmosphere .
Extremely busy but staff coped well although we waited quite a long time after being seated for our order to be taken. 40 minutes.
How can you possibly improve?!?! Yet again a truly delicious meal, fabulous service and friendly staff topped off with a beautiful location. Seriously...how? This was our 2nd visit for dinner and we will most DEFINITELY be returning. Thank you so much again for a wonderful evening Glyn & Anne Dewis
Wonderful food, gets better every time we go.
This was our first visit to the Habourmaster restaurant. We had heard good things and it lived up to every expectation. Fabulous location on the picturesque harbour. We had a party of eleven including two children. The service was polite, knowledgable and very efficient. The quality of the food was absolutely first class and all the meals were served promptly, even with such a large party. The menu offered great options for all tastes and everything was so fresh. The wine menu was also reasonably priced. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to go back
We have eaten in the restaurant 3 times and each time we’ve had a fabulous and memorable meal. Staff are friendly and attentive enough not to be intrusive. Delicious cocktail and had we’d not been driving we’d have lived to have paired the food with your ur wine suggestions. The amuse bouche is always a joy as an extra bit of scrumminess! Thank you, we’ll be back.
Will return soon great service, location and atmosphere.
Delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious . We could not fault anything. Well done, guys😊💕👍
Whole experience exemplary : great food, atmosphere, service - well done to all and keep up the good work: we'll definitely return!
Delicious battered cockles
Delicious food and excellent service.
We stayed 2nights Bed, Breakfast and Dinner in John and Henry Room for £550. Nice room, great food and good service, but expensive for what it was. The room had a balcony which was not private and looked over the side of the hotel on to a parking area where rubbish bins were located. You could see the sea beyond all of this. We were woken at 6am by the rumbling of large wheeled bins being dragged around below the balcony, and by what sounded like beer barrels being rolled about the night before. This was simply not acceptable for the price we were paying for our room. Harbourmaster is in a lovely location looking over the harbour in a super town. The restaurant was nice but the noise from the bar area next to it was intrusive. The easy chairs in the bar area were dirty and needed a good clean. It’s a shame to be so negative about a place but we would have expected better for £550!
As always a very pleasant experience. Our guests thought it was excellent and want to come back.
Service was excellent
A great restaurant in a lovely position by the harbour. There’s also a large bar offering a different menu. The food was delicious. The service excellent-both bar and restaurant. Everyone extremely pleasant and helpful. We returned the next day for brunch and had the same positive experience and great coffee
A decent meal, good service
Lovely staff who enjoy their work, nothing too much for them.
Everything about this hotel is amazing. We will definatley be back.
