A restaurant and bar in the Harbourmaster hotel on Aberaeron's lovely Georgian harbour. We're independently owned and have been serving the best of local produce at breakfast, lunch and dinner since 2002. Proud of our team of chefs led by Ludo Dieumegard and to be in The Good Food Guide 2018, for the 16th year. We specialise in Welsh seafood, locally caught whenever possible - lobster, crab, prawns. We serve oysters and have an Oyster Happy hour! We serve Welsh beef, lamb from local farms, great vegetables from organic producers. All served by a great team of local front of house staff.
A lovely atmosphere as always!
Sitting in the porch was marvellous and our guests were over the moon having a private dining area. As always food and service were excellent.
Pre university drop off stay. Excellent menu. We all had difficulty deciding what to order. The food did not disappoint. We will be back. Good night's sleep. Rooms did not disappoint either. Please consider allowing dogs.
Excellent customer service, welcoming and helpful. Food is inspired with local produce used expertly to create a wonderful fusion of flavours. We will be back!
Lovely evening meal with great food and service. Special thanks to Ffion and bartender Charlie
Delicious food with a beautiful view.
We had a lovely evening celebrating our 35 wedding anniversary. Our whole experience was great with excellent food and the front of house team looked after us delightfully all evening, thank you.
Great location on the harbour, buzzy bar and trendy 'bistro style' restaurant. Food was a bit of a mixed package (2 dinners and 2 breakfasts) and although a cut above pud grub (and some very nice lobster) was not quite as good as we expected from restaurant in the Good Food Guide. Staff responded quickly and sympathetically to our comments but overall a bit disappointing.
Single room had everything one would need. Food delicious. Will return. Well done to all staff for creating a great atmosphere.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Harbourmaster. A warm friendly welcome from Dai the general manager. Dinner was amazing and the service was brilliant, wedi joio mas draw. Diolch yn fawr iawn i chi gyd.
Good Food. Good Service. Great Value.
Excellent apart from they had no bacardi which is the favourite drink of one of my party.
Second night of our 2 night stay and we wondered if the meal could live up to last night’s high standard. It could! Food was brilliant and the service spot on. Thank you.
Possibly the best food I’ve ever tasted! The different ingredients all seemed to set each other off. I went in with high expectations and was not disappointed.
It must have been a different chef as the high standard was not what we remembered. We waited for ages with others before our order arrived by which time the special occasion feeling had gone. It would have been nice to see the food but the corner lighting was so dim everything was dark. Others were so well lit they were on stage! Nice bar atmosphere but restaurant overcharged, corrected error but didn't earn a return visit.
Great venue and good food. The rooms we had were of a very high quality
The previous night was a disaster but a manager ensured this night was fine. We think your chef is too keen on strong flavours which, in our view, clash with the main element of the dish.
Lovely welcome and attentive staff. Beautifully presented food.
Excellent , we enjoyed a family lunch , 10 adults ,6 yr old a 1 yr old in a high chair and 2 babies in prams The staff were very helpful , we really enjoyed the food , excellent choice Would highly recommend
Okay, but not as good as hoped
Could have been told prior that the room was on the third (top) floor with no lift available. Room was lovely, clean amd tidy. Food was trying too hard. We wanted basic pub food after a long drive but got a fancy menu. Would have liked to have eaten in the main bar area but was sat in a row with two other couples and the entire testy was empty. We felt hemmed in and felt uncomfortable not able to enjoy a private conversation.
Excellent food as expected and good wine list Pleasant and efficient service
Food in both the restaurant and bar is excellent, as is the service.
Food and service very good lovely views over harbour great place for a drink
