Named after the hare, and set rural co Down, this charming restaurant serves the best of seasonal Northern Irish produce and some fantastic wines. Working closely with local farmers and growers, our chefs have an impressive pedigree between them and the result is a stylishly understated neighbourhood restaurant and some seriously good food.
Family dinner really enjoyed by all. Service was excellent. Surroundings very relaxing.
This restaurant produces superb food with a great service. We will certainly be back
We’ve eaten at Hara twice in the last two weeks a Saturday evening and a Sunday lunch. We just adore the menus the food combinations are fabulous! Superb service the staff are so passionate about everything Hara stands for .A wonderfully relaxing atmosphere ,we’ll be back !!!!
An incredible meal!!!
One of the best meals I’ve had in years. Fantastic food and friendly service - would recommend very highly.
Lovely meal in a very nice setting.
What a delight to discover 'Hara'. From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt welcome. We enjoyed both the personal & attentive service along with the exquisite 3 course meal. Ever mouthful was a celebration in flavour & to top this off the price was literally the best value we have had in the past 3 years in Europe! Go on... the secret is out ~ try it for yourself....
Best food I have ever had!
Easily one of the best restaurants in Northern Ireland!
First visit on Sunday. Had read great reviews and they were right. The meal was top class, the service from the friendly, helpful, attentive staff was what you’d expect from a top quality restaurant. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic Food the service was slow and disorganized.
Love Hara - 🤩
We enjoyed a really great meal in lovely surroundings. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Hara.
A very pleasant surprise. Friendly competent service and delicious food in all three courses. All of our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed their different meals.
This is a fabulous addition to the Northern Ireland restaurant scene. The food was consistently imaginative, inventive and enjoyable - using local produce to make simple but brilliant dishes. The early evening menu option allowed incredible value for money. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere We will return!
Have already sung your praises on air at Belfast89 Community Radio Station this morning! My cousins and I loved our whole dining experience from we entered the restaurant until we left - and we will be back!
Fantastic establishment! What Hillsborough has been wanting for!
Another really outstanding meal with great service and atmosphere.
The food, wine and the service were superb. This was the best food i've had in a long time. Local competition really need to up their game to come close.
Excellent meal - would have ne hesitation in recommending Hara to my friends
This is a proper neighbourhood restaurant, serving wonderful food at very affordable prices. Sunday lunch is the real deal, served by attentive and charming front of house staff. However the kitchen is the star, with each and every dish a sheer delight. Go, while you can still reserve a table. P.
Excellent food again. Highly recommend
Really enjoyable family meal with excellent food and service!
Excellent food and service would highly recommend. We will be back.
Absolutely love Hara. Food superb but PLEASE vary the menu on a regular basis. There is just not enough choice for us to visit on a regular basis. The menu is not a lot different to what it was in the days of Meet & Thyme. A great asset, however, to the village.
