About Hantverk & Found
At our seafood café we use the best local ingredients to cook creative seafood dishes, influenced by global flavours, but with locality and seasonality firmly in mind.
As well as fish and seafood, we also have a small selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes, and we are very happy to cater for any further dietary requirements with advance notice.
We have a wide selection of natural and organic wine, local ale, soft drinks and coffee.
We are recommended int he Michelin Guide 2019 as well as in The Good Food Guide and Hardens.
Terrible cold uncooked food, flavourless and inedible. Service was atrocious. So overpriced. Daylight robbery. Luckily didnt ruin our night. As more important things to worry about. But sad that this place was reccomended as good. It really sadly isnt.
Lovely service and great for! Really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely book again when we are in the area.
A great wine list & the best fish cakes my partner has ever tasted! Go out of your way to go here. Always a treat worth repeating!
As always, we got beautiful food, wine and great atmosphere. And the oysters were amazing!
Great local restaurant with fantastic menu.
Another fabulous lunch. Fantastic food, wine & of course service. Thanet finest by far.
Lovely small restaurant, with extremely good and personal service. The seafood is really well cooked and presented. The deserts were really lovely too. Will definitely be back, because the menu is so personal and changes with the season, there will be other things to try in time.
Always enjoy great food and wine at H&F; with lovely staff and service. On our recent visit, we particularly loved the amazing finger limes in the sea bass ceviche and the delicious ray wing with the celeriac colcannon. Food presentation is a feast for the eyes too. H&F is so good, that we make the trip over from Brighton especially - thanks for everything!
Really lovely lunch - great seafood Small and intimate restaurant Will definitely eat there again when in Margate
Loved it despite the lack of elbow room
We had a lovely meal with great service, we will definitely come back again.
What a gem! Everything about this place is special, from the friendly & likeable service, to the beautiful simplicity of the tiny interior, the fascinating wine list and not least the food, which is always that little bit more interesting & well-judged than one might have imagined. The Japanese pickles, the oysters and the balance of flavours in e.g. the squid or the sauce for the cod croquettes were perfection. We want to come back to Margate very soon literally just to eat here again.
Loved the halibut!
We had a great evening. Delicious meal, great wine, really friendly service from Kate and some amazing company from fellow customers. A favourite of ours.
The atmosphere is dark and the acoustics are terrible which makes it hard to relax. I suggest some material on the ceiling to absorb the sound The menu is not well explained. I want to know where the food is sourced and the size of the dishes
Delicious and delightful food and experience. Mussels and Fish Pie some of best we have tasted!
We had read reviews and H&F didn’t disappoint. The ambience and service was welcoming and fun, despite the cramped space and small tables. The best dish was the Sea Bass Cerviche - delicious and beautifully presented. The Cod with Blackrice and Clams (£20) was well cooked, but could really have done with some Samphire to complete the dish. If this has added @£2or£3 to the dish, it would have represented better value. The FishPie was very good, but again, we felt that a side order (ie roast carrots, cavolo Nero) would have completed the dish. But overall, a lovely lunch served with a smile.
Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Had a perfect birthday lunch.
Very nice food. Quite cosy
Will be ther again when I visit Margate
A lot of thought and care is taken here and it really works. Lovely intimate place. We went on a cold winters day and it was warm and cosy. Food was great. The wine list is BRILLIANT
Delicious - although the portion sizes were not huge- it did mean I had room for desert. I would go back
Lovely lunch experience. All boxes ticked!
We had a sharing menu for 18 people for my birthday! All the food was amazing, the wine was delicious and cosy atmosphere. Would highly recommend
