For a more relaxed bite, head to the Bistro and Cellar Door, a ‘wine and food’ heaven for an a la carte lunch or alfresco dining in one of the most beautiful Mediterranean gardens surrounded by our ‘vineyard of the world’ – a special affair in itself. Only matched by the delicious bistro style dishes from our Gourmet Chefs and Hans’ fantastic choice of wines.

We found it by chance and the work of Hans Herzog is truly amazing. I had plan one or two bottles from NZ to Singapore: i ended up buying 9 at HH.
Tour was disappointing; guide was junior, scripted, snooty. Two of three very short tastings offered were good but the third was obviously turned, or just bad. Certainly not worth the amount they charge ($25 per person). Did not compare well to any of the many local wineries we've explored in the area, and certainly not internationally.

A memorable evening. Great food and wine enhanced by the young, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The house is elegant and comfortable, the gardens delightful. If we are in this area again we would definitely pay a return visit.

It was an absolute treat to go to Herzog for dessert after our wine tour - especially as the chef prepared affogato for our group - incredibly delicious and everyone declared the best affogato we ever had!
What a wonderful experience we had here for dinner last night. Beautiful surroundings delicious food and exceptional service. Amy was so professional and on the ball especially for our gluten intolerant guest. As well as being thoroughly delightful. The amuse bouche set our palate jumping. Loved the Stewart island salmon. Loved the pesto mousse with the eggplant starter. Bream and lamb both excellent. The bread was a bit heavy for my taste. Hans Herzog wine was delicious served in lovely fine glasses. One of the best meals we have had for a long time. Thank you.
Fantastic location, beautiful venue and our wait staff were fantastic. Hard to please 10 women on a hen party, but they managed it!!
Came for lunch yesterday, and again the location is awesome; shame about the food. I had the red linguine (on the menu it says with tomato, curry and prawn cream) but what I was given was tomato linguine with no flavour of curry or prawns...the waitress said it doesn't come with curry or prawns, so why have it on the menu. Likewise the fish cerviche said lemon and coco milk but it came with salmon, peanuts and tomatoes...very odd
