About Hanoi Bike Shop
Nestled away in the heart of the West End Hanoi Bike Shop, the city’s first Vietnamese canteen, brings the colour and vibrancy of Vietnam to Glasgow. Vietnamese food melds fragrant elements such as coriander, mint, Thai basil, fish sauce and shrimp paste with fresh seafood/meat, vegetables and rice and noodles to create the perfect balance of spice, sour and sweet in every dish. It is considered one of the healthiest cuisines in the world.
Our exciting, ever changing menus are perfect for a communal dining experience- share as much or as little as you want, try something new or stick to your old favourites. From pho, the noodle broth that fuels Vietnam to our organic tofu, made from scratch, in house daily there is something for everyone at the Bike Shop.
We offer extensive gluten free and vegan menus and as we make all our dishes to order we can cater to most dietary requirements. Our daily specials highlight the quality of locally sourced produce and add to our myriad of options.
At Hanoi Bike Shop we pride ourselves on offering a casual dining experience with fast and friendly service. Perfect for every occasion we can cater to up to 45 guests in our lantern laden private room and have multiple set menu options and drinks packages available.
Enjoyed the food very much. the service was very good too.
Great place and great food!
Great food and service exemplary. Tables a bit small:we had to put wine bottle on floor along with some other bits and pieces. Great night though. Will definitely be back
First visit to Hanoi and will definitely be back. Excellent service, incredible food which was all just so delicious. I love the cosy dining experience although I was uncomfortable without a back to my chair. That is literally my only issue and it seems that I just got unlucky as others didn’t get a stool :) thanks Hanoi and your wonderful staff for a great dining experience.
Great as ever. Love the authenticity of the dishes and the whole vibe of the place. I’ve eaten pho in lots of places and the pho here is up there with the best.
Having been several times over the past year, Hanoi bike shop is a firm favourite and I always look forward to the dining experience. My most recent visit wasn't up to its usual standard though... The food was nice but didn't seem as much/varied as the "feed me" option usually is and we also had to ask for rice and crackers which have previously been included as part of the feed me option...perhaps down to how busy the restaurant was. The meal was enjoyable as always but didn't have its usual spark for me...
Nice food but very over priced, the main dishes were expensive but more like starter portions with lots of salad.
Good food! Good atmosphere! Good service!
Fantastic meal as always!
Food was delicious & the waitress was lovely
Fantastic food and service as always... I’ll be back soon!
The food has gone downhill since our last visit.e.g. the temple tofu used to be amazing but last night was like heated up passata with spices on top of the tofu. the vermicelli noodle salad was fairly tasteless, cold noodles with grated carrot and not much seasoning- it used to be delicious and full of herbs and flavour. The salt and pepper squid was overcooked and dry. Not good. We asked to move table as a couple of very noisy folk were seated right next to us and there were quite a few spare tables but were asked why? I got the impression that this had come from the not particularly friendly manager. Overall very disappointing.
Helpful and friendly staff who organised a date for me last minute when I got stood up! Amazing vegan food and lovely atmosphere and decor!
The food was absolutely delicious
The tofu is incredible and so many vegan options
We were waiting on a couple of items that had been forgotten, but as soon as we mentioned it our waitress was really helpful and reordered them. Perfect service other than that and the food was amazing! Did notice the spring rolls had got a bit smaller and had less tofu in than previous visits, so slightly less value for money... but nothing that would stop us coming back as everything is so delicious. Our absolute favourite was the special - sambal and coconut tofu hotpot, it would be fab to see something like that on the permanent menu. Thanks for another great meal!
Wonderful food, friendly service, loads of vegetarian and vegan choices, and a fun atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
My husband and I used to come to Hanoi Bike Shop a lot before moving so we always visit when we are in Glasgow. Food is amazing and they do some lovely cocktails, especially the spicy gin one. We went with our baby this time and staff were very accomodating. Would recommend to everyone.
Nice location, nice place, nice staff, but we were disappointed with the ad hoc supply of food to the table, an overcrowded (too small) table and the general flavour and taste (a personal thing) of the food..
Good fun and different
