About Hanoi Bike Shop
Nestled away in the heart of the West End Hanoi Bike Shop, the city’s first Vietnamese canteen, brings the colour and vibrancy of Vietnam to Glasgow. Vietnamese food melds fragrant elements such as coriander, mint, Thai basil, fish sauce and shrimp paste with fresh seafood/meat, vegetables and rice and noodles to create the perfect balance of spice, sour and sweet in every dish. It is considered one of the healthiest cuisines in the world.
Our exciting, ever changing menus are perfect for a communal dining experience- share as much or as little as you want, try something new or stick to your old favourites. From pho, the noodle broth that fuels Vietnam to our organic tofu, made from scratch, in house daily there is something for everyone at the Bike Shop.
We offer extensive gluten free and vegan menus and as we make all our dishes to order we can cater to most dietary requirements. Our daily specials highlight the quality of locally sourced produce and add to our myriad of options.
At Hanoi Bike Shop we pride ourselves on offering a casual dining experience with fast and friendly service. Perfect for every occasion we can cater to up to 45 guests in our lantern laden private room and have multiple set menu options and drinks packages available.
Food was fabulous and service friendly and polite
Very good experience. Recommended
Another fantastic meal in Hanoi Bike Shop. It's our go to when we come to Glasgow and for good reason. The food was gorgeous and our two friends who hadnt been before are now also fans. Service great as always - it's lovely to see staff so enthusiastic about the food rather than just taking orders and serving! Faultless again and would highly recommend.
Fantastic, quirky place, the whole experience was fantastic, staff really friendly & helpful, really busy little place, tables are small & you sit on little wooden stools that are different & make the whole experience more interesting, They recommend a couple to share between 3 & 4 dishes, i would say 3 is plenty full, you need to be mindful that once you order your food, it will be served as soon as it is made so your table can become very full & make eating comfortable difficult. Other than that, hanoi bike shop is awesome
Great fresh food cooked to order.Delicious! Fast, efficient , friendly service.
Interesting cuisine however slightly more expensive than justified.
Always great to go to HBS. It’s a big family favourite. My husband + son have various allergies. These are always accommodated and the food is amazing.
Food was delicious, had a great time
Staff were slightly unwelcoming, and upstairs slightly lacks atmosphere. However, the food is great, already recommended this place to friends and family!
The feed me option is fantastic as you try things you may never have thought of all within your comfort zone of heat.
hadn't been in a while but still did the same amazing tofu, spiced gins and peanut butter and chilli dip
It was delicious and we are definitely coming back!
Outstanding food, excellent and friendly service.
The food was really tasty, the staff were very friendly and it's great value for money.
All staff were lovely, as usual. I was disappointed that you don't have the pumpkin or tarot crackers anymore! I am vegan, so can't eat the prawn crackers and really missed having the crackers and peanut sauce to start. I hope you are going to start offering another vegan option soon.
1st class service and food highly recommend x
Great food & atmosphere
It was our first visit in 3 years, and it was a Saturday evening. It was a bit cramped upstairs with a solitary toilet. We are planning to go back asap as the food was interesting and the service was good as were the staff. Value seemed fair, next feedback counts
Favourite restaurant ever
The food took a very long time to arrive
I came with a friend to Hanoi bike shop for the first time. It’s a lovely small restaurant with a good vibe. The bike shop beer was lovely. We enjoyed the duck and pork belly large plates but didn’t enjoy the mushroom rice paper rolls or prawn kebabs as much. May have been down to our poor choice. We also got a side of rice and prawn crackers which was too much food- we left a lot, 2 small plates and 1 large plus 1 side, or 1 small plate and 1 large plus 1 side would have been enough. It was £60 for above food and 1 drink each for 2 of us which is west end prices.
Hanoi bike shop is our favourite place in Glasgow to eat. Been a few times now. Everything from the funky decor, superb staff to the amazing food. Cant fault it one bit. Get the mung beans dish. Its unreal. We will be back again and again. If you like great food get urself along
