This is the second time I've been to Hancock's, one as a family and the other with a friend. Both times the service has been very very good. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The food has always been very good.

Very brash atmosphere. Almost blinding lights around the booths, music too loud and the food came almost instantly. It was luke warm and not that special. I thought that I'd try somewhere different for a quick meal before the cinema, but this restaurant is nowhere as good as Gourmet Burger and just as expensive. The only redeeming feature was the service.

I was disappointed to find out upon ordering that the restaurant had NO rubs for the ribs whatsoever! I was then forced to pick something at random so I went with the Mac & cheese burger. The burger was juicy and well cooked, the Mac & cheese was flavourless and tepid. By the time I’d finished my burger and went to mop up the remaining Mac & cheese (about 2 minutes), it was stone cold. The restaurant was almost empty and if that’s what we can expect when it’s quiet... I wasn’t impressed at all and we won’t be returning.

Hi Its the second time in the restaurant, the first time I was recommended to have the beef ribs... these were very disappointing, chewy with think hard fat running through them. This time I ordered the nacho chicken breast for £15 or 16.95... The great was very over cooked, small and hard. Everything else was average. five of us ate starters and mains and then best food was the pudding. The drinks are quite expensive for a family restaurant.

I'll always try to be constructive where possible. The waiters were lovely and really friendly when you did get to speak with them. We were told that it works on a buzzer system,which is fine and a great idea! The wait to actually get to see someone was too long. In two instances it was over ten minutes and we had to grab someone walking by. We asked for some extra drinks which took 15 mins to arrive. When it did the syrup on the coke had gone so we asked for a replacement. This took a further 15 minutes at least and we chased a passing waiter. The food portions were great, if slightly overpriced. One main was incorrect and another came without any sauce despite the description on the menu. The waiter did offer a discount on the incorrect dish. We might come again once you've been up and running a little longer. Overall the premises and atmosphere are great, with lots of potential. Just a little more attentiveness around the customers would make it a betternexperience overall!

Went for the ribs and they were terrible. Hardly any meat on the rack and what was there was tough. Had to send gin and lemonade back as it was soda! Freaky milkshake was waste of money, thin runny milkshake with a small squirt of cream on top and 5 bits of popcorn, would have been better popping in McDonalds! Desserts were Ok.

Staff are obviously new to the job. Ordered some garlic bread when we arrived, but it didn’t arrive until we asked where it was after our main meals were delivered. Desserts didn’t arrive together either. Lights in the central seats too bright, definitely need to be turned down. Otherwise will probably come back

Got served starter and main at the same time, didn’t have ingredients to make the cocktail we picked, then was overcharged for the cocktails we didn’t have, felt very rushed asked what we was having for dessert whilst still eating our main meal very disappointed

Really enjoyed our visit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed choosing the music, but shame app wasn’t working properly (couldn’t register as I was unable to select the restaurant location). Food was delicious though and was pricey enough to keep out the undesirables. Will visit again for sure.

Drinks order was wrong, starters were very spicy and main was out before starter was taken away, which again was very spicy and the streak which was meant to be medium was well done and dry. Service needs work

Food not bad. Service pretty good. We were given some water for the table and told that it was free, as water should be. Asked for some more water which we were given but were then charged £2 for it when we got the bill. Apparently the first is free but after that you are charged. We were not told that nor would we expect to be charged for water from a refillable water bottle. We spent nearly £200 but they insisted on charging. Will not be returning.

Lights very bright All the waiting staff were very friendly, our waiter Josh was obviously new and at times struggled finding things on his menu pad but he was polite funny and apologetic. Food was very nice and the cocktails vey good we had a great evening

I’ve given stars based on the fact that our meal was on the second night it was open. The service was very fast but still some teething issues with the technology (paging your waiter is a great idea, so is choosing the music via the app). The restaurant was quiet but it was early in the evening and two days in for the restaurant. The food was tasty although the beef ribs were a little tough.

The staff member who tended to us was brilliant, he clearly really enjoyed his role. However the food was mediocre at best, I bought a grill for 25 pound which consisted of dry ribs that had barely any meat on them and a peice of steak, I opted for the rib eye, and I was unaware it would cost me an extra 8 pound, 33 pound for that meal was really over priced for the quality of the food. I could go down the road to Miller and Carter and have a superb steak for 22 pound. I have not recommended it to my friends and family.

Will definitely be returning with more family and friends in the near future, love the decor and staff are friendly and informative. The only slightly negative comment is the middle seating lighting is very bright which just personally is not my thing, loved the other areas though. Many thanks Nicola Johnson
