About Hancock's Farnborough
Great American food including home smoked ribs & chicken, steak, burgers and much more, with over 50 cocktails to choose from plus a great selection of American craft beer. Come & be part of the family!
Fantastic staff. Very attentive and friendly. Explain the app and vouchers which is a great touch. Food is delicious. Will be recommending and definitely coming back. Thank you!
thanks for telling us about the app - we enjoyed our free cocktail
Great service, great food and reasonably priced.
This was my second time at Hancock's. The first visit I had a Pina Colada and it tasted lovely. Unfortunately, my second trip to Hancock's, the Pina Colada was sour and no taste at all, couldn't taste the rum nor the coconut only the sour pineapple and it did not taste like pineapple either don't really know what to make out of it, I definitely did not enjoy it at all. Then the waitress who was looking after us said the guy who does the drinks is new.
Lovely waitress, excellent food and big portions. 2nd time of eating here and it won’t be my last!
We had a great time & will definitely come back! Thanks!
It's good to have Hancocks in Farnborough and I hope it will go from strength to strength. God know the twon centre badly needs more decent places to eat and drink so Hancock's has golden opportunity to exploit its potential audience, especially with Sticky Sister's being so atrocious! We've been in 3 times to Hancock's and enjoyed it but.... ....the deal on your 2-4-1 cocktails is very confusing - the marketing materials on it do not clearly explain that you can only use one voucher per table for a free or 2-4-1 cocktail when you register on the app, and it also suggests that Mon-Thurs 5-10pm is happy hour all the time. So v disappointing to get there and find that you can have one free cocktail between you all. Luckily our waitress agreed it was confusing and very kindly got the manager to us all to redeem our free cocktail voucher; thank you for that! ......the brunch deal is good value if you are drinking but the quality of the ribs and wings on that deal compared to the normal ribs is awful. I appreciate you need to churn them out quickly but having had good ribs baked in sauce from the normal menu we were expecting the same. To be faced with fried plain ribs and a dipping sauce wasn't what we expected and it is a very limited choice and no option for veggies. I would do the brunch again and neither would the group of 10 I came in with.
Excellent waiter but the restaurant had the charm of a bus stop and the food was ok but expensive ...won’tbe Hurrying back
My second visit. I’m not sure that the whole experience is getting any better. The food was just ok nothing special. Service was ok again nothing special. There are betting dining experiences around. Sorry but you need to do better to gain my custom again
Valentine’s Day was our choice for our first visit, glad we did. Great food, friendly staff and a very enjoyable evening overall.
Decor was really nice and it was quieter than I thought it would be for a Saturday night. Our waitress was very slow and we had to keep chasing her up for drinks and she wasn't taking the time to listen to what we were asking. She thought we were chasing food when we asked where our drinks were and I ended up having to go to the bar instead and then when we finally for the drink there was no apology. I also asked for my ice cream to be on the side of my desert and when it came out it had ice cream all over the top of it and she just simply said 'they forgot to put the ice cream on the side and didn't even offer to take it back and change it. I told her that I would like it taken back and redone and it seemed like a huge chore for her.
My first visit was the first week that the branch opened and although there were some items that were unavailable, the service and the food were fantastic and we didn't mind that it was quite expensive. Based on this I arranged a family meal for 10 of us, and I really wish I hadn't. I was embarrassed that I had suggested hancocks, as the service and meals were awful and expensive. Considering that there was only 4 other customers in the restaurant I'm amazed at how slow the service was. It took 20 minutes to get my drink order taken then a further 15 minutes for my drinks to arrive. This was after going through the drinks menu to find something that was actually available. I was told that I would have to pay £2 for a jug of tap water, which is illegal. Any establishment serving alcohol has to provide drinking water free of charge. My steak was meant to be rare but was well done. It was also grey, which I have never seen before. I decided not to have this replaced as everyone else was already half way through their meals. The sides provided with the meals were unidentifiable as they were so dried up. Overall this visit was horrible.
Service was very good but food is not as good as menu suggests, meals not cooked fresh which I expect for this price. Poor “weatherspoons” type quality but for double the price.
Great food, great service, just what you expect in an American diner. Already decided what I'll have next time.
We had a great experience at Hancock’s in Camberley but I’m afraid the food in Farnborough was not great, it also lacked the fun atmosphere produced by the staff in Camberley.
The majority of the menu is quite pricey. My halloumi salad was a bit stingy with the halloumi and could have done with some more dressing, it was quite dry. However the service was great and the rest of the food was very tasty.
The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Service was slow considering it was not busy. Most of the food was good. A couple of things not great potato skins were literally whole potatoes not crispy and undercooked and the mac and cheese not great. Burgers and kids meals all fine. Cocktails really good! We would go back but maybe just for cocktails and nibbles and not in a large group.
Meal was for a birthday. We were only ones in to start. Ordered drinks and Mains and this went ok. Then we waited!! After about 20mins we finally got a waiters attention. We asked for menus then he went off to attend to someone else without us getting menus. Eventually we were given menus and the news that they could only take cash. As the bill was more than what I had in cash we were told we'd have to find a cash machine. Eventually the duty manager cane over and told us desserts were free and the bill was halved . This was appreciated but the evening was somewhat marred. Did not make up for long wait. We were there nearly 2 hrs.
First time at the restaurant and it looked great very bright and airy. Had problem with the computer ordering service when we were there and it slowed down the food orders and waited ages for our food. When it came it was very fresh and tasty. Then couldn't pay by card so had to scrabble around for some cash.
Second time I have been and not that impressed with the food. Callum was lovely, friendly and helpful. Not sure why for each meal brought one is sent to another country to feed someone, why not feed someone in our county !!!
Extremely slow with service. Many items not available including ribs and whole chicken.
Food was really nice however the service was a little slow waited about 20 minutes for 2 cokes and food took just over an hour
I completely understand that this restaurant has only been open since early Dec and the servers have a tough job on their hands. They are great at what they do and try very hard to please (Sam and Stacey were wonderful, thank you for everything). Unfortunately, the kitchen and food let the restaurant down. The food was bland, over cooked and over priced for what we were served. Tough chicken, dry nachos with next to no sauce and a burger that tasted as if it was a cheap frozen one. I think the kitchen staff need a lot more training, the vast menu probably doesn’t help with the quality of food. The poor servers got the brunt of it and dealt with it in their stride, they really should be proud of the service they are giving, especially with the poor quality of food that is being served. This was all fed back to the management and we were assured that it would be worked on. I have to say, that it is likely we will return in a few months to see if there has been an improvement, as everyone has to learn and start somewhere.
