About HADSKIS BELFAST
Hadskis has been born out of one man’s love for making pots and pans, and another man’s love for cooking great food.
It is an award winning restaurant in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter serving #greatfoodeveryday from 12 pm Monday to Friday and brunch from 11am, Saturday and Sunday. The menu changes regularly and features Northern Irish steak and lamb, fresh homemade pasta and delicious desserts from cheese to the tart of the day.
A great wine list features European and New World wines by the glass as well as wine by the magnum. Classic cocktails add to the mix with classics as well as tasty dessert cocktails.
This is the second time I have dined in Hadskis and I was so disappointed on this occasion. Our starters were fabulous main courses almost unedible because of the amount of salt used. Three of us had steaks - they were salty and just all-right, no great depth of flavour to them. The chips are just okay but not the best. My husband ordered a side of field mushrooms, which again were just too salty. The meal was not value for money and rather unpleasant.
Great dining experience - as always!
Excellent restaurant will definitely be back
Tasty but expensive
Amazing food can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic service! Made our night special
Slightly disappointing food, bearing in mind the reputation. Very nice service, but new waitress had not mastered the menu, we thought. Very good wine list. We're unlikely to return since there is so much better competition in Town.
the only disappointment we had was that there was no pasta option available on this occasion.
Thanks so much for helping us celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The glass of fizz on arrival was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. A waitress, who served our wedding meal last year, greeted us with a genuine warmth- what a lovely girl who is an asset to this restaurant. Food was absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait to return!
Really excellent early bird meal. Super service, pleasant & efficient. We went for the steak, cooked to perfection and really good value. Came with fries and a lovely pepper sauce on the side. If you want a great meal, in a relaxed setting then give Hadskis a try.
I’ve been to Hadskis several times and always loved it. I was slightly disappointed on my last trip - coats weren’t taken, the greeting wasn’t as welcoming, toilets weren’t very clean, service wasn’t quite as polished and the restaurant was far too hot and no sound proofing. The food however was generally good but I’m not sure I would be in a rush to return.
We go once a month for the chateaubriand, however this month was far too much of that green pesto like substance on the meat. It diminished the flavour of the beef greatly we thought. Over all that was very disappointing. Truffle fries, pepper etc amazing as always.
Local produce, cooked perfectly. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite expensive but the place we always book for special occasions or a treat!
Visit Hadskis on a relatively regular basis and am never disappointed - I shouldn't really offer a good review (though it's true) because maybe I'll find it more and more difficult to book a table due to increased demand !
Love that we are never rushed and that we can sit and chat and not made to feel in the way or that we are outstaying our welcome. Great place
Service was very attentive and friendly.
Very good - nice food and good service
Food and service where excellent!!!
We had a great evening. On arrival the waitress was great and stayed with us all evening upstairs. Everyone sent messages the next day about how great the food was. Perfect place to have a private party.
Superb location in the Cathedral Quarter where the new University campus will soon be added. Great for Saturday lunch and proximity to good inns like Duke of York and to the Mac and Black Box.
Noisy group on next table almost spiked our evening with visiting ( foreign ) friends. Otherwise excellent👏🏼
My wife and myself had an amazing evening, we arrived an hour and half early and were greeted by Michael and made feel welcome immediately, we sat outside for a few cocktails and when we were ready were shown to our table. Our server was Niamh who was really nice and a credit to the restaurant. Our food and wine was so tasty and the whole evening was just brilliant. Thank you Michael and Niamh again and the next time we get a date night we will be back :)
We visited on Monday, a lovely sunny eve and sat outside on the very welcome and very cute bench seating. Food was delicious, seasoned well and very pretty and super value from the early bird menu. We enjoyed it so much we are coming back on Friday with family, and friends have booked a weekend too - thank you!
Great team on the day...food and service were fantastic
