About HADSKIS BELFAST
Hadskis has been born out of one man’s love for making pots and pans, and another man’s love for cooking great food.
It is an award winning restaurant in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter serving #greatfoodeveryday from 12 pm Monday to Friday and brunch from 11am, Saturday and Sunday. The menu changes regularly and features Northern Irish steak and lamb, fresh homemade pasta and delicious desserts from cheese to the tart of the day.
A great wine list features European and New World wines by the glass as well as wine by the magnum. Classic cocktails add to the mix with classics as well as tasty dessert cocktails.
Lovely lunch But miss the Risotto
Staff great as usual, ham hock delicious and cod just as good. Husband loved the cheese! Claire
Amazing food as always and the service was excellent
Very good experience- a little overpriced
Food was delicious and brilliant atmosphere!
Visited on Friday 17th January and ordered the venison with mash. Whilst the food was perfect, the mash didn't arrive with the venison and I had to ask two different members of the waiting staff to chase it for me which meant it had arrived after I had finished my main. Upon payment then I was rather surprised at the 10% service charge added to my bill - I usually dont mind giving a little extra for good service but normally wouldn't when I have to chase up my sides on two different occasions. Excellent food, great variety on menu, very, very noisy which is fine in a group but not intimate for a couple however we did enjoy a nice bustling atmosphere, very attentive staff although when asked, one had to go back and check about the ingredients on one of the dishes, but we lived it and will definitely be back, what a gem for Belfast!
Great that can sit at your table and not feel rushed. Will be back
Always love going to Hadskis
The service and menu are both fantastic. The location is lovely, the cobbled streets of the cathedral quarter and the Duke of York across the street really add to the atmosphere. I have taken many people here, recommending their fine choice of steaks and interesting dishes not likely to be found elsewhere. The only issue I could mention is that the small size of the restaraunt leads to a very loud and claustrophobic atmosphere. This is a shame as the food and service deserve a better setting. But I realise this is beyond their control and do not judge the restaraunt on this one issue. Overall I would say this is a fantastic establishment with a lot to offer anyone looking to enjoy a night out on the town.
Super lunch as usual. Excellent service and great food. One of our favourite restaurants without a doubt! Thanks guys. X
Excellent food and service , a modern but slightly cold feel to the room , expensive but in real terms probably worth it
Hadskis represents a fairly average experience at the moment and Niall needs to up his game. We were stuck at the front of the restaurant which is completely devoid of atmosphere. Good reports from friends on the whole sea bream, but ribeye steaks were poorly cooked, with too much residue lifted from the grill on to the finished product making for a toughened meat. Not good. Hadskis is not the only Belfast restaurant which needs to learn how to cook steak, but it's certainly one of the more expensive ones: 25 quid for a poor steak and a few chips (not a vegetable in sight) is simply not worth it if you could do it better yourself.
Excellent service and food as usual!
This was first time at Hadskis ( which I was very much looking forward to) and unfortunately it’s likely to be my last. I found the email regarding confirmation aggressive ( in tone and suggestion of a charge if confirmation was not rapid on my part as in appropriate and odd). The food took an excessive amount of time to get to our table which felt very cramped. My friends had steak, which was poorly presented with no garnish. I had the sea bass, it was greasy and the prawns were rubbery and very over cooked. My truffle and parmesan fries had zero truffle flavor evident and were extremely salty ( as were all the fries at the table). This was mentioned to the manager who just attempted a joke about it. The food was very overpriced considering the poor quality (bizarrely sides were extra also). The Bakewell tart was cold and a minuscule portion. Ice cream tasted bland. With so many excellent restaurants in Belfast that are a far superior quality, with wonderful ambience and quality of food, I honestly can’t see myself returning and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. I didn’t complain on the night as it was my friend’s birthday and I didn’t want to lower the celebratory mood!
Great food and drinks and service was first class! Love coming here and can’t wait to come back!
Booked a group dinner here over the holidays for some family. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the person on the phone who helped me make the reservation to the host and servers on the night of the dinner. Food was very good and excellent value for the money, Left pleased.
3 stars for a table near to us super loud... but not restaurants fault it’s a shame it is long and narrow so it’s not a large space ... but service and food surpasses it and it was my 4th visit in 6 months
Hadskis came highly recommended and we eagerly awaited our visit. It disappointed on several fronts. Firstly, the reception we got on arrival was curt and unfriendly although the waiting staff were very pleasant. The padron peppers were inadequately salted and not very plentiful. We ordered 2 steaks - one well done and one medium. The well done steak was actually medium and the medium steak was decidedly rare. Surely a restaurant that prides itself on it's steak should get this right? The desserts were mediocre.
Great food - Venison was stunning - and the early sitting on Saturday allowed us time to chat - even though there were a few larger groups in as well, which made it a bit noisy. Staff were very attentive and there was a bit of craic with them too. Beer was a bit pricey, but good to see local breweries supported. Bit of a bug bear of mine is that adding a side to the main courses were 'strongly suggested' by the staff - which whacks the price up £4-£5. Still - a great meal. Thanks.
Food excellent, if service was a good would def be the best restaurant in town
Tables for 2 are a little close together, can hear what the people on either side are saying.exceptional otherwise
Hi We booked a table for 5 for a late graduation lunch well in advance (maybe a month) and were disappointed with the seating given to us at it was at the far end of the bar with no one else near us so no atmosphere (we could have been anywhere) the area was cold and 2 of the party were seated on stools for a couple of hours which was uncomfortable. I have to commend the service but overall the experience was disappointing. Thanks Mel Show quoted text
Excellent service and beautiful food. Nice for a treat but very pricey.
