About Hacienda Sydney
Hacienda Sydney, a truly vibrant venue located at a premier address with stunning views of arguably one of the most beautiful harbours in the world.
During the day, the glass walls of the sun-drenched vista bar open out onto the busy harbour. Enjoy a Cuban inspired menu while watching the ferries float across Sydney’s harbour.
By night, Hacienda is the place to be seen. As the city lights up, unwind, relax and sink into the colourful art deco lounges whilst sipping a classic rum cocktail with a twist. This is definitely the perfect spot to unwind and de-stress whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Circular Quay.
Tropical and inviting by day and a botanical oasis by night, Hacienda is the ideal Sydney Bar.
Disappointed with the service, we had a 3 hour drink and food package with canapes. Most of our group had to keep going up to the bar as we weren't getting much attention from our server. by the 2-2.5 hour mark, we never even saw our server again. Service aside, the setting was beautiful.
The place was gorgeous and the drinks fantastic!
Great location and atmosphere.
Thank you for one of the best corporate services we've received at Hacienda Sydney. Even though our event reduced in size but hacienda's service did not fall short of amazing. Here is what our team members said "oh wow, perfectly crunchy fries, ever" "Love the berry cocktail" "spectacular view" "Their service is really good" Thank you for looking after us, will definitely have a bigger event there soon!
Atmosphere - Great location, view and venue set up Drinks - I only had 2 drinks, a cocktail which was great an and a Rose. My husband asked for a Cuba Libre but he wanted it with Havana Rum and not Sailor Jerry's, which is what they served. Please don't call it a Cuba Libre when you don't use Cuban Rum, it's insulting. Unfortunately the waitress didn't know what it was and thought he wanted a Cuba Libre and a side of Havana Rum. When we explained the drink, she had to check with the bartenders, where we witnessed 3 people discussing over it. The drink came and it was poor. For a place that has a Cuban influence...how could it not recognise a simple drink from the country of origin and make it bad. I hope no Cuban tries this...they'd laugh. Food - Very average. The chicken sliders was sad for the price. I don't mind paying for good food but this was average. The wings was good, the Arancini was a little salty but some may like it. The spicy peanuts and harrisa lamb was good. The tortilla chips with 3 dips was bland...very bland. I suggest this place look into re-doing their food menu. I'm sorry you need to step up your game. Don't just rely on the location and venue, food does play a big part. I say for 2 people (if you're not choosing the $60 chefs platter) pick about 3 dishes as it can be a lot. Maybe come here for a drink or two.
Beautiful place with an amazing view. We all enjoyed our visit and had a lovely couple of drinks as well as the delicious share platter. The only negative was we found the service slightly lacking. Would have been nice if the waiter was a bit more attentive.
The service was terrible.
Great place for daytime or night time.
Thank you for looking after us, good service :)
My expectations were very high booking my group of friends for my 40th birthday. Unfortunately my experience with service wise was lacking and disorganised. There was confusion over numbers (after confirming well in advance by email and telephone) which led to confusion over canapes (there were no canapes on arrival, I think the first one appeared an hour later) which lead to confused hungry guests. We weren’t sure (or staff) whether we should wait for the canapes or start ordering, so we ended up wasting food in the end. There was also a number of different people serving us which led to more confusion. This actually really saddened me on my special night unfortunately, also having disappointed guests feeling ripped off. Food was average (thank God for the oysters) but not what we expected for such high price. The venue and view was beautiful, but in light what happened didn’t feel worth it as I was feeling so disappointed. I feel that if you want to take group bookings you need to take them more seriously and deliver what you promise. Carla La Tella (didn’t get my surname right either)
"Cake selection" is two cubes of cakes for $20. Ridiculous
I had a wonderful night with friends! The view is amazing! :) We will definitely be back. The food menu is quite limited and taste is mediocre, nothing special about it. The drinks are really nice though.
Food was average but drinks were great
It has been an amazing experience, the place is amazing, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming, the service impeccable, the location simply perfect. Thank you to all the staff and in particular to George who helped me from the beginning, explaining clearly all the details, complying all my requests and making sure everything was perfect during the party.
Sadly I had a good experience previously and so took friends for a drink after lunch but it took half an hour before our first drink came to the table and the music was so loud that we found it hard to have a conversation. We considered leaving because it wasn’t somewhere to ‘unwind’ as stated on the site. Too loud. Service was terrible. We actually could have walked out without paying and the staff would have been none the wiser..
The view and setting was lovely, although for the amount of money we spent the service/food and beverage was not up to par. We were waiting a while for food (which we pre ordered) and once they arrived many items we bland/dry. The drinks were good when they arrived (but that also took a while). Although the Zucchini flowers were delicious, the $5/each oysters were scaly and had shells within. It got to a point where although promised table service, members of our party had to go up to the bar several times to check up on where their drinks were. Would not come again in a large party. The place is better suited for small groups of people
Hacienda has an amazing view and atmosphere. I can recommend it to anyone that lives in Sydney or from abroad.Great cocktails and food selection.
Great environment and service.
Really nice interior!!
Great view (if you manage to get a well-positioned table) but service doesn’t match. Food was okay but obviously you wouldn't go there for the food. Booked a table for Mother’s Day high tea with two friends and a baby. Confirmed booking with requirements over the phone, but disappointed when arrived. The waitress (in suit and glasses) who allocate seats seems provide service depends on skin color. After waited 2 hours, we had the good seat and enjoyed the glorious view (the manager helped). We ordered a bottle of bubbly from the same waitress (in suit & glasses) and nothing happened after 10 minutes. So we asked another helpful waitress and the wine arrived quickly. We somehow felt that waitress was holding the grudge against us. But thanks to the manager (also in glasses) and other lovely waitresses, our Mother’s Day wasn’t ruined.
Out waiter was very nice, fun and friendly and helpful! Views are amazing!
We went to Hacienda for Mother's Day. Really great atmosphere, food service was a little slow but the staff were lovely. We had a high tea menu, the bread on some of the sandwiches was a little stale but the hot food and desserts were amazing.
High Tea was nice but way too heavy. Sandwiches/Burgers/Empanadas and then potato and pastry wrapped savory dishes. Really needed some lighter stuff to break up all the heavy dishes. Quality was good, just too much heavy carbs and not enough light dishes. Drinks were great and waiter was excellent.
Not impressed I think they forgot our food order so much for RSA service is slack
Hacienda provided a beautiful space for our booking with friendly staff, a great variety of drinks and good portions of food!
