About Hacienda Sydney
Hacienda Sydney, a truly vibrant venue located at a premier address with stunning views of arguably one of the most beautiful harbours in the world.
During the day, the glass walls of the sun-drenched vista bar open out onto the busy harbour. Enjoy a Cuban inspired menu while watching the ferries float across Sydney’s harbour.
By night, Hacienda is the place to be seen. As the city lights up, unwind, relax and sink into the colourful art deco lounges whilst sipping a classic rum cocktail with a twist. This is definitely the perfect spot to unwind and de-stress whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Circular Quay.
Tropical and inviting by day and a botanical oasis by night, Hacienda is the ideal Sydney Bar.
Hi When we arrived our table was been used even though it had reserved on it. We had to wait 40 mins for first drink and it took the staff about the same amount of time to clear the dirty cups and get us new ones.
I booked a space for 14 people for a Hen's night and when we arrived we had a space sectioned off with open windows of a direct view to the harbour. Everyone had a seat and the space was absolutely perfect! I can't wait to go back and visit, Hacienda is such a beautiful bar.
We celebrated our 50th birthday last night. It was a great night, great service, great atmosphere and amazing food!!
We had a wonderful time, thank you! Will definitely be visiting again.
Went on a Saturday night. Cocktails took over half an hour to arrive and some were forgotten. Music was horrendous. Wait staff incompetent and couldn’t understand a basic martini order and the martinis were beyond ordinary. Over the course of an hour-and-a-half only managed to get one drink so we left. Have been previously in the daytime and the atmosphere was better. Won’t be coming back.
Sydney at its best!
Thank you George and the hacienda team for hosting my sisters hens party. Everyone who came has given rave reviews and said it was a place they’d heard of and had wanted to check out. The drinks were amazing and food was such value for money, everyone was impressed!! I’d definitely be happy to arrange another function there or recommend it to others. Thank you again, Leanne
Stunning views, great service & atmosphere
We had booked for six people and were given a tiny table with stools. Drinks were very expensive, as was the food and the options were very limited. It took quite a while to get our drinks too. We were made to feel like we were a pain for being there - not welcome at all. Very disappointing.
The food is over priced and basic. The service is slow, I had to go to the bar and ask if it was table service or bar order. I then had to get up and chase some one for the bill. Interior is tired and the place is understaffed.
Outstanding service Amazing views .. amazing outlay So happy I spent my hens at hacienda Good and drinks were outstanding also Thanks again !
Amazing bar with stunning views. Cocktails were delicious.
Lack of customer service, over 30-40 minute wait for a cocktail when it wasn’t very busy. Lovely place but very disappointed in the service
Didn’t have any food or drinks for over half an hour after ordering (ordered at 3:09 for a 3pm booking). Was told what I’d ordered and paid for was no longer available. No comparable alternative was offered - the problem was ours to solve. The manager (I presume? Woman in her twenties in a blazer) was rude when I asked where our order was up to. Ten minutes later what I ordered was apparently back in stock and arrived at our table. The music was so loud we and people around us were yelling to talk to those sitting next to them. When asked if the music could be turned down a bit, the waitress yelled back that the lights couldn’t be turned down - hilarious. Being busy is no excuse for incompetence and rudeness. Outstandingly bad service, atmosphere and value for money. Staff training is clearly entirely absent. No apology was offered on the day and it’s the least that can be done now to make up for a shockingly bad experience, which was entirely avoidable with some professional staff.
Fabulous bar great for a get together! Unbeatable view, great drinks, staff very attentive and friendly!
Service could have been a bit more attentive, we had to keep going up to ask for our plates to be cleared. And when our chosen wine ran out there was no offer of an alternative and completely missed opportunity to up sell us Food and wines were beautiful, great venue.
An absolutely brilliant night, booked for a HENs celebration. Our waitress Sophie was awesome, nothing was too hard and she made the night easy and stress free. Would 100% recommend as a venue for celebrations and a fun night out.
When I called to make a booking I asked for a 7.30pm booking. The confirmation email I received states a 5.30pm booking and requested the table back by 8.30pm. Luckily when we arrived a table was still waiting for us. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were both under staffed and service was very slow, even for a busy bar. Food ok. Then when came to pay you said you dont do split bills which wasn’t mentioned in my booking conversation or email. Luckily the manager allowed it but a bad experience overall and with other bars around circular quay, I won’t rush to book here again.
Believe it or not went with great expectations for my team dinner but we all had a very bad experience. The food was cold and done with no pride on the plate. Very ordinary presentation and quality of food. Asked for a bottle of wine from the drinks menu the waiter came back after 15 min saying they don't have it then ordered another wine took 20 min to get it. Then food came was not worth for the money! Disappointed
We had a EOFY here at HACIENDA - we had a fantastic time - the staff were wonderful and the views, food and drink were all wonderful.
Disappointed with the service, we had a 3 hour drink and food package with canapes. Most of our group had to keep going up to the bar as we weren't getting much attention from our server. by the 2-2.5 hour mark, we never even saw our server again. Service aside, the setting was beautiful.
The place was gorgeous and the drinks fantastic!
Great location and atmosphere.
Thank you for one of the best corporate services we've received at Hacienda Sydney. Even though our event reduced in size but hacienda's service did not fall short of amazing. Here is what our team members said "oh wow, perfectly crunchy fries, ever" "Love the berry cocktail" "spectacular view" "Their service is really good" Thank you for looking after us, will definitely have a bigger event there soon!
Atmosphere - Great location, view and venue set up Drinks - I only had 2 drinks, a cocktail which was great an and a Rose. My husband asked for a Cuba Libre but he wanted it with Havana Rum and not Sailor Jerry's, which is what they served. Please don't call it a Cuba Libre when you don't use Cuban Rum, it's insulting. Unfortunately the waitress didn't know what it was and thought he wanted a Cuba Libre and a side of Havana Rum. When we explained the drink, she had to check with the bartenders, where we witnessed 3 people discussing over it. The drink came and it was poor. For a place that has a Cuban influence...how could it not recognise a simple drink from the country of origin and make it bad. I hope no Cuban tries this...they'd laugh. Food - Very average. The chicken sliders was sad for the price. I don't mind paying for good food but this was average. The wings was good, the Arancini was a little salty but some may like it. The spicy peanuts and harrisa lamb was good. The tortilla chips with 3 dips was bland...very bland. I suggest this place look into re-doing their food menu. I'm sorry you need to step up your game. Don't just rely on the location and venue, food does play a big part. I say for 2 people (if you're not choosing the $60 chefs platter) pick about 3 dishes as it can be a lot. Maybe come here for a drink or two.
