About Haar Restaurant
A sensory experience like no other. Haar will play with all your senses as you dine.
Haar has the environment in the forefront so we put a paramount on sourcing sustainable products and being as carbon sensitive as possible, where possible. This can be seen across the board, from interior construction materials, menu items and wines served.
Food excellent, staff very courteous and knowledgeable. Only complaint was that the restaurant was cold.
This was a delayed birthday gift for my wife, the Itison 5 course tasting menu. We added the additional courses to the tasting menu and paired drinks. It was exceptional from start to finish, especially the smoked lobster. Very knowledgeable and attentive servers without being intrusive. A real treat and earned me brownie points!
We had a truly excellent meal to celebrate the completion of walking the fife pilgrim way. Enjoyed every course. Plenty of inspiration for flavour combinations and the different presentation plates for each course, was visually attractive as well Many thanks. We will be back!
Amazing food, brilliant service. Will be back again soon!
Wonderful meal, excellent service. Enjoyed the mock tails too. Well done to a very talented team.
The 5 course tasting menu we had was superb! Just loved the combination of local produce and delicate Asian spicing. Staff were friendly, informative & professional. Felt like a safe environment in every respect with regard to virus protection. And I have to add that the seating was remarkably comfortable.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Each dish looked and tasted outstanding. Every dish delivered by the staff and explained to us with great detail, even through the mask we could here the passion that is delivered in HAAR. We will be looking forward to our return in the near future. Added extra we got to talk to Dean on our exit, great touch for us as followed him when he was on master chef. Thanks again
Delicious and beautifully presented food. All dietary needs were catered for allowing us to relax, sit back and enjoy a very special meal. Not inexpensive and operating in a fairly competitive sector in this part of Fife.
Amazing from the first course. Not a single disappointment from any of the 7 courses. Will be back!
Every one of the seven courses was delicious and memorable. Fab for our special occasion (wedding anniversary). Not yet had a better gourmet meal in Britain, but we’ll keep trying. No wines possible due to tier 3 COVID-19 measures at the time, but the food was so good, we loved the meal regardless, and the non-alcoholic drinks were well chosen.
Food was absolutely fantastic. We’ll definitely be back
This was our second visit but felt the menu really didn’t work for us this time. Sorry
Staff were so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and so nice to have out of the ordinary tastes, amazing.
Absolutely faultless in every way. Food outstanding & staff very knowledgeable & full of personality.
Fantastic meal. Great ingredients. Service was amazing. Cannot fault.
Excellent Staff, service and food. Would highly recommend a visit.
Was here in February and it was excellent only tasting menu this time food was well presented but lacked flavour throughout lobster was a supplement of £25 too expensive and should have been offered as an alternative to one of the courses with a £15 supplement
Excellent service and lovely taster menu
The service was let down by us not receiving our drinks until our second course, after tables around us had theirs first after ordering last. The server wasn’t apologetic & I expected better for the level of establishment. There seemed to be a crossover of servers on our table neither knowing who had took the drink or food order, the same with no allocated bar person or our drinks may have arrived sooner. The food was as expected, scallop and banoffee was delicious.
A real treat - will recommend to friends and family for some time to come!
It’s a really special occasion restaurant and celebration of Scottish ingredients made for even more special with exciting international recipes. Had been recommended by several people and it didn’t disappoint. Loved it. I’d encourage the team to invest a bit more in their email communication. Days between emails didn’t feel as slick as the experience they were trying to create.
Our 2nd visit to the Haar but won’t be our last Excellent food and service.
Top notch food and wine pairings spot on A delicious experience for a treat
Under difficult circumstances for all restaurants just now, we had a lovely lunch with good service. Food was delicious & very well presented. Quite honestly the wine is expensive with limited wine available at a “reasonable” cost. Having said that we’ll be back.
Magnificent experience, lovely layout fantastic food- very imaginative. Service was outstanding especially in this COVID-19 times. We took the prestige wine flight with the tasting menu and would thoroughly recommend this.
