About Haarbour St Andrews
Haarbour Fish & Chips is a Modern style Fish & Chips restaurant. We provide fresh local seafood in a fusion style including your traditional Fish & Chips
Our signature is Dean's Lobster that is served with either a Goan curry or Miso cream.
This was an outstanding dining experience. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the attention to detail was exemplary. I had the Korean style fish and chips and my partner had the traditionally battered fish and chips. Both were fantastic. We also had the haggins bon bons which were a revelation. As too was the coleslaw which accompanied my main. We're already making plans to return!
Service staff were very warm and friendly
Best fish & chips we've had for a while and generous portions. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the place spotlessly clean. Only reason I gave a 3 for atmosphere was because it was quiet when we were in. Will definitely be back and look forward to seeing your outside space.
The restaurant was really cold. My wife and daughter had to keep their coats on. The quality of the food was first class. Major disappointment was the lobster. For £18.50 it was a real let down. I know Scottish lobsters are not huge but my wife had two forkfuls and that was it done. As I say tasted lovely but the portion size was more akin to fine dining. Service was good .
Thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips. This was a belated itison voucher and worth every penny. Fish done to perfection and chips crispy. I had gluten free which was also amazing. Very modern buzzy place and staff very attentive. Social distancing in place.
The best chip I have ever eaten. The variety and quality of fish is amazing and cooked to perfection. Would be good enough plain but if you do choose to have some of the fancy twists, the slaw with the Korean dish worked perfect. Could have went back the next day.
Good quiet location and the service was excellent
Extremely expensive for what it was. We were sat at a window table which was freezing cold, we all had to continue to wear our jackets throughout our meal. The tomato ketchup bottle on the table showed that the ketchup was out of date however when we questioned a waitress on it she stated that the bottles got refilled which given the date was clearly stated should not be happening. The food was nice but extremely overpriced. Electrics kept going on and off and witnessed staff cleaning the ceiling directly over the fryers that the food was being cooked in with a scouring brush. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend
Excellent lunch on 29th April. Fish was exceptionally fresh and delicious.
Super good food and really quick service :)
A bit disappointing for the price. A lot of batter and chips but not much fish. We didn’t enjoy the mushy peas either.
Beautiful food, fresh and very tasty, good cup of tea... restaurant was quiet, lovely staff... would definitely return. Also very clean, social distance, wearing face mask etc following with covid restrictions... nothing to fault 10/10 .
Our meal was lovely. Freshly cooked but I felt £2.50 for a tin of diet coke was absolutely ridiculous. The restaurant was very cold and we had to sit and eat our tea with our coats on. I think this was totally unacceptable.
The food was nice but was expensive for what we received. Not sure I would rush back
Lovely fish, friendly staff, would recommend giving the Korean haddock a try!
Korean haddock tasted really good, however the batter did look a bit pale and not too appealing. Ate it with no complaints as wouldn’t want to send back for a reheat. Bannoffee sundae was really good but a bit pricey.
Good food. Very friendly and efficient staff - good service. Unfortunately we booked our table for 29th April and the Haarbour had only just reopened the in door dining area on 28th April and we were only diners so lacking a bit in atmosphere. We will return another time when busier.
Excellent service and well looked after by Sophie. Lovely food. No lobster the day we went. Good value with itison voucher
Really disappointed that you had run out of lobster and the fish of the day so early. That was our main reason for booking Otherwise food was good if a bit pricey
Good menu and excellent food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
The service from the staff was 1st class and we were made very welcome. Our order was taken quickly once we had made our choice. I enjoyed seeing the chefs preparing our order. Food was absolutely delicious- and the homemade tartare sauce is the best I’ve tasted. Highly recommended for a visit
Definitely recommend to friends ,will book again ,used Itison voucher
From start to finish we had a really lovely experience dining at the Haarbour. The staff were warm, professional and welcoming. The restuarant also complied with the COVID regulations which made us feel very safe. The bonus was that the food was delicious. Would we go back? Definitely !!
Fab...very very tasty 😋
Really enjoyed our visit here. The food was excellent. Service was spot on. Would def visit again and have already recommended to friends
