About H1780 Tap & Still
In the very heart of Liverpool, L1, H1780 Tap & Still offers a unique experience. We have our own brewery, distillery, bars and tasting room complemented by food simply cooked using quality ingredients...
Reunion lunch with ex colleagues What a great venue Great food and lovely Love Lane and great gins The food was excellent and the staff were really friendly and fun Cannot wait for the next reunion - Liverpool has a real winner with the Tap & Still.
Very busy - so service was slightly slow But food was really good though Love Lane Pale was delicious Great atmosphere and staff were really friendly DJ played some great music
Great gins and a Higsons Pale and Love Lane to set up a lovely Mothers Day lunch. Very friendly service. Sirloin of beef with great roast potatoes and great green veg - gorgeous gravy - massive Yorkshire pudding... 17 year old loved the beef suet pudding... J Duck red washed it all down well Mum loved the asparagus and blue cheese tart The puds of Lemon posset, rhubarb & custard fool and choc and salted caramel tart were really good. Oh yes starters were good too - beet salad was awesome and haddock fishcakes nice and light. Thanks Tap & Still - great fun!
Excellent food and drinks selection.
Amazing food and great service with an excellent choice of drinks. The venue was very quiet sadly so the atmosphere was a bit subdued but nonetheless warm and welcoming. One of our party was a bit disappointed that pie day was only Sunday but once he tried the food he was more than happy, perhaps make it a bit clearer on the menu that pies are for Sunday only. Summary - amazing friendly and skilled staff and a top notch venue serving great food whats not to like .
Great surroundings - few people in Decent grub and pretty decent beer - Love Lane Pale was very good and my mate loved the Higsons Pilsner. Lemongrass not to my palate but pal like it. Sausage, fishcakes and burgers did the job. (Actually burger was brill - though the shoestring fries were fiddly) Will return...
Loved everything about this place - stunning venue, delicious food and a relaxed vibe.
Great Place, please keep the beautiful German ( Munich ) beers on draught . They’re excellent.
I was recommended by a chef And I will also recommend you to my friends and family Thank you
Food was excellent. Drink too. We had 'snacks' as starters. They were more appealing than the starters (no judgement on the staters!). Great ice cream supplier! Ox was yum, I especially liked the cabbage. It was fresh and had something tangy in it! Yum. Really lifted what could have been a very heavy dish. Cognac could have been served warm and in a thinner glass. The menu was short, which was fine with us. Although, with such a small menu we're less likely to visit for a meal again so soon (unless, of course, the menu changes fairly frequently). Service was great. Very laid back and friendly. Atmosphere was great too. We liked seeing the brewery next door. It was busy but not too loud. My wife was a tad chilly at one point. Decor was great. We particularly loved your floor - how much did that cost!? I was surprised at how low the bill was. We thought it was the best value for money meal out we've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great time. Food was delicious. The different beers and gins were exciting and the service, perfect.
Really friendly welcome and good range of drinks Love Lane Pale Ale was delicious and really enjoyed the fishcakes and the burger. The gins looked interesting - was driving so had to pass - but look forward to returning - I think they are doing tours from April? Great addition to Liverpool's food and drink scene.
Second visit in just over a week.... it must be good.
We have been a few times now and always impressed with food, this was first time for the Sunday menu and food was great! Lovely staff and a special thanks to Shaun for his patience chatting with my 5 and 3 year old who took a massive liking to him!
Would like to see more choice of cask ales
Beautiful venue, excellent food of a high quality. Good selection of beers and staff that are friendly, welcoming and attentive. I will certainly go back and take other friends with me.
Superb place to spend a Sunday afternoon. So welcoming to dogs and humans of all ages. Pies and beer were great. Looking forward to some Gin next time. Get there quick before everyone hears about it!!
I had popped into H1870 Tap and Still for a drink with my husband and planned to eat there in the future. Due to something falling through 6 of us, all women booked for Saturday night. We aren’t really beer drinkers but the gin and gin cocktails were very good. The star of the show was the food, cod with lentils cooked to perfection- as in not a second over cooked. Beautiful beet salad, fish cakes with a celeriac and caper remoulade. There was no chicken masala....been wolfed by earlier diners. A fantastic addition to Liverpool’s dining/drinking scene. I’ll be back....soon
Great food and drink. Service was brilliant and the building is stunning.
Lovely lunch with a colleague on Monday Beers were great Staff were enthusiastic Place relaxes you - really nice ambience - not busy - but a Monday in January I guess Early days but it feels like it can only get better
An urban urbain oasis with great beers and gins plural. You have to try the Love Lane black IPA which is what can only be described as an all time great. The food is substantial and well done with great local links and some unusual but well done twists
Liverpool Cycle Tours had our staff night out here and as there were two pescatarians and a vegan I did wonder how the food would be. We all LOVED it! The food was superbly presented, tasted absolutely delicious and was delivered to the table by extremely friendly staff. The choice of beers was also fantastic! From the minute we arrived we felt completely taken care of. We will highly recommend it to our customers of Liverpool Cycle Tours who Always ask if we can recommend anywhere to eat and drink. The location is perfect for our guests too as it's just around the corner from us :)
I took my brother, his wife & teenage son & my mum along with my wife and everyone loved the look and feel of the Tap & Still. The atmosphere was really cosy with good background music. My guests were disappointed they were driving as they could only have a pint each (my mum had lime and soda!) We all loved our food! The cauliflower snack was devoured and we ordered a 2nd portion - the olives were massive and gorgeous and the parsnip crisps were unusual but also enjoyed by all. The leek rarebit was received positively, my wife loved the ox cheek, I really enjoyed the nicely spiced chicken curry and my nephew's cod was cooked to perfection - lovely flaky chunks. My brother loved the ribiletta and the pesto on the sourdough. A gin ice to share and a special looking sticky toffee pudding and nice coffee finished off a lovely lunch. Some well behaved dogs were in too making it a great Saturday lunchtime bolt hole away from the hurly burly of the city centre. We only recently discovered the Baltic Triangle and this is a great addition - just as it said in the Liverpool Confidential review that prompted us to book.
Fantastic service, friendly knowledgeable staff and great food/drinks.
The Beef pie on sunday was a hit with my guests - I had the fish pie but will probably try the beef next time! The veg was superbly cooked - got quite excited by the carrots! The sticky toffee pudding was a wow too and I loved my gin ice. Gin and tonics for aperitifs were very good and guests washed their pies down with a Higsons Amber. Pies and Pudds - choice of ale - good Sunday lunch..Thanks Tap & Still
