Our waitress was new and had only just started. She was very polite and did a fantastic job. This was our 3 visit to Greyfrairs and we will definitely be back.
A very enjoyable 3 night stay in a great room. Lovely breakfasts. Excellent evening meal. Some maintenance issues should be addressed but they did not impact our enjoyment. Rooms at the front are very noisy and perhaps secondary glazing should be installed to reduce this.
Lovely venue. Perfect for any occasion.
Fantastic afternoon, great way to celebrate my mum's special birthday. Can't wait to return with my husband.
The staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked through the door. The receptionist was welcoming and helped us with our wet coats and umbrellas. The staff who served our afternoon tea were excellen- polite and efficient in executing their duties.
Beautiful venue with food to match.
Amazing food, fantastic service. First time at GreyFriars and return many times. Staff were so polite and helpful. A really perfect evening for my wife and I. Thank you GreyFriars
Nice place, good food, great service
Really lovely afternoon tea!
The restaurant at lunchtime was excellent, as was breakfast. However we ordered toasted cheese sandwiches in the room, and there wasn't much cheese, and what there was was tasteless. Maybe you should offer the option of mild, mature, extra mature, extra cheese.
Overall we had a very nice time and enjoyed the traditional afternoon tea. The sandwiches were lovely, especially the chicken ones and the smoked salmon. The scones were especially light .We also shared a Gentleman's afternoon tea, which although sounded tasty, didn't quite work for me. Two things which would have enhanced our experience would have been if the sandwiches were served on a tiered stand rather than just on individual plates put in front of us, and if there was some atmosphere, unfortunately, there was none.
Lovely afternoon tea, made to feel welcome and excellent food.
Wonderful staff and really luxurious hotel in the most perfect location. . Food is delicious. We highly recommend for the perfect getaway.
Me and my friends had Afternoon Tea at your hotel on our day off from our hotels where we work. Your staff were very professional and polite. The Afternoon Tea was very exceptional, The place was very relaxing and welcoming. We will be back soon.
We had a lovely afternoon tea at Grey Friars for a special birthday. The food and venue I would highly recommend for a special occasion. My only criticism would be that we had to repeat our order to several waiters even though it had been provided at the time of booking. It seemed that the staff were not joined up and it got a little frustrating.
Friendly service, excellent food.
We had a lovely time. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
Excellent afternoon tea, delicious food & drink in sumptuous surroundings. A very pleasurable experience, we will definitely return.
Perfect place for a birthday celebration lunch
Excellent everything as usual with you
All the above information name, date of booking etc is wrong, which I had a couple of emails meant for someone else confirming their bookings. Following a phone call I was told that our party had been moved to our own private room the library, this turned out to be a room off from the bar/lounge area, which is obviously a spare room with peeling wallpaper no decorations or atmosphere to it, a couple of us had coffee with our afternoon tea which was luke warm, there was a problem with the tea and service was slow, it was like we were put in a side room and forgotten about the time between drinks, sandwiches and cakes was long, and when we did see someone we had to remind them that we’d asked for a certain drink, the party of people weren’t that impressed and we had expected a lot better considering the price, and as I have quite a lot of cream teas at a lot less price, but a much better experience I very much doubt I’ll be returning.
Really lovely evening Food was fab and lovely staff
dropped 1 star only and that is the food very good but could be a little less expensive mainly the starters we visit a lot of hotels and this a been a delightful experience will hope to visit again
Attentive staff but not overbearing, the only criticism I have was that the sandwiches were warm, but this didn’t stop us enjoying the afternoon tea!
The bread for the finger sandwiches was slightly dry as if they had been made in advance and not covered. However the fillings were tasty and the cakes divine. Excellent service.
