Book now to enjoy Afternoon Tea in either the Great Hall or the Restaurant at Ellenborough Park
Lovely experience, will definitely come again.
Tea was lovely but think only being allowed one pot is mean. Service was slow and had to pour my own prosecco. Wasn't topped up once. Waiters were lovely but he didn't really know what the cakes / cream was!
We had a lovely afternoon tea, which was given to me as a special birthday present. Beautiful location and staff very friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience very special.
Scones a bit dry, and the amount of jam and cream served with them felt quite stingy. Sitting on a sofa with a low table was quite uncomfortable - we would have preferred a normal-height table with chairs. Overall good but not excellent.
We had an afternoon tea on Monday lunchtime. The food itself was really excellent, however only having one member of staff working all the tables was heavy under-staffing. The man was running around between lots of tables and missing for long periods of time chatting with staff outside, this made for a slow service of what was otherwise a nice afternoon tea.
Amazing service and they gave me chocolate cakes as it’s was for my birthday and they didn’t need to and asked any question I needed
It was a wonderful experience. The location was awesome.
really lovely setting and lovely room. very polite staff. sandwiches were a little disappointing, and the cakes did not have much flavour but the scones were delicious! ! fluffy and tasty! It was a disappointment that there was no discount for our 8 year old! as although the sandwiches he had were tailored to children he did not like any of the cakes. expensive for a child! £94 for the three of us!
Fantastic service in a unique and atmospheric place. Great quality afternoon tea and we had a wonderful stay in general. We will definitely be recommending it to others and will be back ourselves in the near future
Tea order not correct. Had to ask twice for more tea.
Lucky enough to enjoy our Afternoon Tea in The Snug, a great little cosy area. Sotiris was our Server and he was fantastic, very attentive and very pleasant.
teas were served incorrectly so our party of 5 had to smell/taste to ensure we had the right teas. also was difficult at times to get someone's attention. a scone did roll off a plate, but we were later given 2 scones.
Wonderful relaxed experience. If you are looking to take someone for a very special treat, look no further.
We had afternoon tea which had been given to me as a gift. Johnathan was excellent. He gave us some history on the place and was very good at his job. Nothing was too much trouble. Other staff were also very polite and smartly dressed. I totally love the building and grounds
Couldn't have been more wonderful. Excellent staff and service, lovely environment, top rate food offerings.
Afternoon tea- the bread was dry which was unforgivable considering the price of a plate of sandwiches. The fillings were unremarkable and mean. Shame as cakes were good and tea was nice. We had drinks in the bar later, my Bloody Mary took 15 minutes to come, tasted oddly of mustard, was mainly ice and when I took the stick of celery out to eat it, the end was rotten. We had to ask to have this removed from the bill. Feeling sick just remembering this. The wine is fantastically overpriced, a recognisably really cheap Sauvignon nearly 30 quid. V bad. Some serious cleaning issues in the hotel, filthy bathroom, rotten apple under a dresser. Such a shame, could be a fantastic place to stay.
Very nice afternoon tea. Luckily the surroundings are nice as there was a delay of 40 mins in serving the food.
Lovely retreat for spa and food. We had a few drinks in the bar, watched the cricket then headed for an Afternoon Tea, the service was perfect all round - highly recommended!
Very friendly staff, professional and excellent service.
I was so disappointed. Had I not been taking a friend who would have been embarrassed had I complained at the time I would have done. The sandwiches had clearly been made for some time and left out. They were dry and crusty on the outside. No refill of our teapot was offered and then I was charged 12.5 percent service charge on my huge bill. Yes the surroundings were lovely, but I won’t be caught like this again. Disappointed verging on angry
Our first time at Ellenborough Park and will definitely visit again
Beautiful surroundings and lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the afternoon tea didn't meet our expectations. The sandwiches and cakes were mediocre and though the scones were delicious, the portion of clotted cream and jam was ridiculously tiny between the two of us, leaving the scones dry. There was one lady serving us and only one other couple taking afternoon tea. She was pleasant but preoccupied. She would disappear and not reappear for 10 minutes or so. I needed a fresh pot of tea to drink with my scones and I had to wait at least 10 minutes for her to reappear and even then I had to attract her attention to ask for some more. I would have asked for some more jam and cream with our scones but I'd finished them by then because we'd been waiting so long. Sadly the waiting and lack of attention took away some of the pleasure of taking our afternoon tea in such beautiful surroundings.
Fabulous setting and a lovely afternoon tea, would definitely recommend
Went to the bar first and ordered two prosecco and only got half a glass which cost £18 which I thought was a bit expensive, if the glasses were filled then it would of not been so bad.
