Book now to enjoy Afternoon Tea in either the Great Hall or the Restaurant at Ellenborough Park
It was a fabulous way to celebrate a 50th birthday with family.
Exceptional service from Jonathon who served us. So very friendly and took care of us throughout our visit.
Lovely high tea. Enjoyed every minute.
Michael offered exceptional service, attentive and very polite. Definitely will return.
Great service from jonathan who attended us with great warmth professionalism and knowledge Food was fantastic and surroundings just exceptional for a relaxing afternoon treat. Even had a go on the swings located in the large grounds.
This is the second time we have been to the great Hall for afternoon tea and last time everything was only 1 star, the sandwiches had thick bread, not fresh and the fillings were meagre, the cakes were stale and our prosecco came after we had ordered the tea. AND the service was terrible as I was given strawberry jam, although I had informed you of my allergy. This time great improvement, the cakes and sweet were fabulous, and Jonathon gave us great service. Our prosecco came just right and the scones were to die for, and as I have a strawberry allergy, I had my own little pot of raspberry jam. But, your sandwiches let you down again, same unfresh thick bread and the fillings whilst better were the same as last time, it might be nice to have a different filling sometimes. so great improvement but not 5 star due to your bread.
Afternoon tea was a little disappointing. Evening meal was tasty. Generally overpriced and service a little slow.
What a wonderful person Jonathon was, he really went the extra mile. We were celebrating our 1st Wedding anniversary and wow did he help make it memorable. We sat up in the snug, a little cave in a turret! We will definitely visit again! X
Thank you for a fabulous afternoon. It couldn't have been more perfect. We had the lovely snug which made the experience feel even more decadent. Jonathan was a lovely host and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The food was exquisite. Can't wait to come again
Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful treat for my partner for his birthday
Our server, Jonathan, was absolutely fantastic.
We have been for afternoon tea with you a couple of times now. The first time, the room was very smokey and the scones were very dry - in fact my wife couldn't finish hers. The most recent time we attended, again, the food was not brilliant. The sandwiches were slightly crusty/dry and felt like they'd been made in the morning and left out in the air all day. The mini desserts weren't very nice, and we didn't even finish them. The scones were slightly better this time. Unfortunately The Great Hall was a disappointment again, this time for being too cold. The front door was open and there was a terrible draft coming into the hall. We had to keep our coats on. Service was ok. Nothing spectacular. All in all, not good value for money and we won't be returning for afternoon tea at Ellenborough Park.
Service was utterly fantastic. Every detail was thought out and nothing was too much. Jonathan was incredibly informative about the hotel and really gave us the 5* service. A great asset to the hotel!
Lovely afternoon to celebrate my mums 60th Birthday. Jonathan was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The gluten free menu for my mum was brilliant, best afternoon tea she has had. Thank you Jemma
The afternoon tea location is very quaint and we had ours on the balcony which was lovely. The service was very attentive and staff knowledgeable which complimented the food (scones were delicious). Overall great experience and would recommend a stay there to anyone.
The waiter we had was really friendly and helpful which made us feel like royalty. Can’t wait to come again.
Lovely setting, staff catered for dietary requirements without hesitation, excellent all round!
Our waiter was friendly, fun and professional. The afternoon tea was pleasant, the scones were lovely but some of the mini cakes were not as flavoursome as they could of been. We had a champagne cocktail each, 2 of the 3 were quite bland and the Kir Royal has too much cassis in it, it was blood red. A little disappointing considering it is a 5 star hotel!
The guys at the front of house were amazing they were friendly and welcoming now when we got to the Hoarse box our drinks order was taken promptly however it took forever to come our meal came promptly and complements to the chef from then on it went down hill we were totally forgotten this was our anniversary weekend away and we really wanted to make the most of it. No one came to check if we wanted anything else or drinks, our table was not cleared for a long time we then decided to get the bill which was a real shame as we were out to enjoy ourselves this spoilt our night:(
Beautiful building and very welcoming staff made afternoon tea a delight, particularly in the very grand Great Hall. The serving staff were excellent, very knowledgeable without being obtrusive. While not the cheapest afternoon tea around, the surroundings make it a very enjoyable experience.
Enjoyable experience in beautiful surroundings and a it was pleasant room where we had afternoon tea. The member of staff who served us was very pleasant and attentive to our needs.
Beautiful setting, amazing afternoon tea of high quality with attentive service. I have been before and would definitely recommend a visit!
The Snug was a wonderful venue following a relaxing day in the Spa.
Lovely setting with lovely staff. Pricey but worth the treat!
A fabulous relaxing spa day. The staff were professional, caring and helpful. The facilities were excellent bar the experience showers, which seemed to be just on one setting and were just hot showers.
