The night was wonderful, all the staff were incredibly helpful and very kind. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend The Grand for an evening or stay! We will be looking forward to going again for sure! A special thank you to Luis on the front desk!

We had afternoon tea in the winter domes, our server was Mario and he was extremely polite and had great customer service skills. We thoroughly enjoyed the winter domes, they are beautiful and a nice change and a novelty to have afternoon tea in. Bravo Grand Jersey, we had a super day! Even bigger Bravo to Mario for looking after us :)

Absolutely amazing service from the very first welcome we received by Luis, and our waiter Cameron was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was stunning! Beautiful presentation, incredibly delicious and unique. A wonderful dining experience all round!

I love The Grand but disappointed last night. The freestyle package is limited and you can’t have the champagne bar food. £29 for 10 pigs in blankets is absolutely unacceptable. The service was way over the top, they came in the pod approximately 20 times, leaving the door open so you are getting cold, they are so polite you don’t want to say “can you just shut the door.”

The low mark for Atmosphere is not a criticism as the current CV19 situation is, I imagine, the reason why so few diners were present yesterday at breakfast. An empty restaurant can only lack ambience, which on our previous visits has been present in abundance.

I was really not impressed with the service yesterday, we got the phone call to say the domes where cancelled and that we would have a table inside , when we got to the hotel we where spoken to very rudely and told to wait and ‘calm down’ (we hadn’t said anything apart from we have a reservation) there was no table ready for us , we found a dirty table we asked to sit at if they could clean it , we where shoved into a little booth (6 of us and can only fit 4) we then finally got to move but again no help carrying our drinks or anything to the new table. We had to pour our own drinks too. I specifically said this was for a birthday yet nothing was said and no effort was made, we decided to book a table at quayside for dinner as we where disappointed with the whole experience. I think you should re evaluate your ‘winter domes’ as they looked more secure last night than the hotel did with that wind ! If you cannot allow people into the domes like last night then I highly doubt anybody will be able to go in them all winter , I have been to domes in London when the weather was much worse and we had a great time. The staff at your hotel had no idea what was going on and bad communication.

The waiter did not know what pescatarian meant and had to ask me for an explanation. Although we had booked for afternoon tea we were presented with lunch menus? I asked whether a bubbly drink was included in the afternoon tea and the waiter did not know and had to go ask. We then ordered two glasses of prosecco but we were presented with champagne which was not appreciated as students. It could have been communicated to us before hand. When afternoon tea arrived we were not told what was what on the cake stand and had to guess. I had to ask for tea as our mugs remained empty until I reminded them.... It was all quite embarrassing and ruined the experience a bit which is a shame seeing as the food and the setting are nice. I can’t believe I was then forced to pay service charge at the end... Really a bit of a joke and of course they didn’t speak or understand a word of english!

We had afternoon tea. The sandwiches had the classic afternoon tea fillings .Beautiful soft scones the cakes were very different from others we have had at other venues. There were mango and coconut and chocolate macaroons, 5 different flavour of cakes and very dainty so that you could eat them all. They were beautifully and professionally We only rated the atmosphere a little lower as it was a wet November Monday and we were the only ones there for tea. However, the tables are secluded and with the view of the bay, you were unaware of the lack of other guests. We would thoroughly recommend going there for afternoon tea.
