From the moment we walked through the front door the staff were very helpful. Our waitress was very friendly and chatted to us and provided us with information on the food and views. Great experience and one that we won’t forget.
We had afternoon tea yesterday and it was amazing from start to finish. The staff, service, food and atmosphere were all fabulous. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.
Welcomed from beginning to end, all staff where friendly and extras were served along the way. The food served was delight for the eyes and taste buds. I would highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit!
My friend and I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Grand Central having afternoon tea. There was a excellent variety and quality of food, teas and coffee.
Such an enjoyable afternoon tea! Service was incredible
Food was great. Welcome and service very good
Delicious afternoon tea with excellent service, luxurious surroundings and the best view!
We enjoyed our afternoon tea there. The surroundings are lovely as is the view. It is expensive though. A nice treat if you are prepared to spend the money.
Amazing afternoon tea and your staff are a credit so kind and considerate at every turn
Lovely afternoon tea although I think the balance of food is a bit too much sweet and not enough savoury - and I have a real sweet tooth! But everything was delicious and the staff were great.
Had such a lovely time.
Really enjoyed the afternoon tea but only 4 stars for ”atmosphere” as the on site piano playing was far too loud and intrusive that it made conservation near impossible and it was giving my wife a headache. The staff did move us away from the piano where the piped sound of the piano was slightly reduced. Eventually some piped music replaced the piano which was much more acceptable and indeed created a nice atmosphere to sit In and converse.
Absolutely perfect We had such a lovely afternoon. Staff are so welcoming and attentive. Special mention to Mary Ellen she is a truly lovely person who excels at her job. All of the staff we met are a credit to the hotel which was so nice to see. The food was delicious apparently yday was the first day of the new Afternoon Tea menu it was divine. So vibrant and colourful a real feast for your eyes!! We started with a selection of three different filled finger sandwiches and a beautiful tartlet the pastry was to die for. We had superb glasses of Bollinger with this which complemented the savoury selection perfectly. We has coffee rather than tea (apologies if that offends anyone just our preference) This was followed by the selection of warm scones with clotted cream, jam and butter and mini desserts and pastries again delicious and as we weren't able to finish everything it was all boxed into a beautiful little goody box to enjoy at home. Honestly it was just perfect. I asked our waitress and I'm sorry I don't know her name because she was lovely if we needed to move to the bar to order cocktails and she said no we most certainly could remain at our same table with the beautiful view. I really cannot recommend the Observatory highly enough. Our son and daughter had given us a voucher for the afternoon tea and I certainly would hope to return Thank you Suzanne and Paul Geddis
Very minor point reduced “service” to 4 stars. Server forgot to bring butter, jam and cream for scones but these were produced immediately we asked. Butter obviously taken straight from the fridge was rock hard and impossible to spread
Ambience was perfect.Staff where exceptional and a credit to the hotel they made the whole experience a day to remember. WELL DONE to all
Views are outstanding, service doesnt quite match that yet. Overall it was enjoyable just a few small things........ I felt staff couldve been a bit more attentive, the service was good at the start but fell away towards the end, the table was not cleared when we finished eating which was annoying when it wasnt particularly busy, and in the end we moved tables to drink our cocktails Waiter told us he would bring us popcorn which we never got. The cocktails are lovely but at £15 each they lack presentation, would like to see something that reflects the price.
Fantastic experience and unbeatable views of Belfast
Had a great time with girlfriend on Saturday. Lovely views and great food! Will definitely recommending this to my family
Fantastic setting. Excellent staff - nothing too much bother. However booking service could be improved. First booking was booked for wrong day. Also a booking made when the observatory was not available
Booking was simple. The experience was fantastic for my relatives who were celebrating a 70th, 74th & 76th birthday and a 40th wedding anniversary between them. They felt like royalty being escorted in from the car, taken up in the lift and the service from the girls during afternoon tea was exceptional - attentive but not smothering. And the wee cup cake was an added little touch to acknowledge their celebrations. Highly recommend, will definitely be back
Fantastic full stop. The waitress was lovely and personable. Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Will be back again!
Staff were friendly and made conversation. Views were spectacular from all angles of the room. Food was amazing and plenty of it. Will definitely be back
Fab views, enjoyed the savoury food unfortunately the sweet was not to my liking. There wasn’t always a staff member available. I personally would have preferred to sit at a table closer to me and higher, we had been placed on settees and a low table. When eating I like to be at the table. I feel £40 was quite a lot and probably to be honest I was expecting better sorry,
Fabulous. Afternoon tea.
All staff showed enthusiasm and treated you as though you were the only guest. Our waitress was so nice and very professional. She took time to talk and explained the afternoon tea. Unfortunately I don't know her name. I will definitely be back and already thinking of treating someone.
