About Grand Central Hotel - Seahorse Restaurant
Hastings Grand Central is more than a hotel. It’s an ode to a city. Standing tall in Bedford Street, this impressive jewel fuses glamour and grandeur with a uniquely Belfast spirit. Perfectly placed in Belfast City. Just as Belfast is at the heart of the Grand Central, the Grand Central is at the heart of Belfast. Set in the up and coming Linen Quarter, the hotel is a spectacular hub for exploring Titanic Quarter’s history or Cathedral Quarter’s charming cobbled streets, pubs and eateries. Theatre buffs, shopaholics and historians alike will all be spoiled for choice, with a host of options right on their doorstep. Conveniently located for all transport access, the Grand Central is perfectly placed for every city centre endeavour – from business to leisure and everything in between.
This is one exquisite venue with three distinct spaces. Quality exudes from every angle – from the phenomenal cuisine and cocktails to the lavish fabrics and fittings. The art deco nods, high ceilings and sense of space add a distinctive drama – and the vibe inside shifts as the day rolls in and the sun rolls round. The restaurant and bar feel bright at breakfast and mesmerisingly dreamy of an evening. And this is the Seahorse’s real allure, it’s a destination with multiple moods – the perfect backdrop for sumptuous afternoon tea or delicious dining and fine wines.
Limited choice on menu could do with a few more options.
Lovely atmosphere, food and service.
Staff very courteous and helpful. Afternoon tea tastefully presented and beautiful array of savoury and sweet food. Very relaxing afternoon and look forward to a trying the restaurant soon !
What made the afternoon tea experience even better was your lovely friendly staff
Excellent menu. Consistently professional attentive and knowledgeable staff on each visit. Show insight into allergy management rarely seen in hotel chains or venues employing large numbers of staff. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone - a stand-out place in Belfast for us and will return on each future visit to the city.
Chole provided excellent service and advice on the menu and wine. Another visit and we enjoyed the different menu. We very much appreciate the opporrunity to have a predinner drink in the lounge. Tom McGrath
Gorgeous food, attentive staff & beautiful surroundings. Great evening. Thankyou.
The staff were very attentive and obliging.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea experience which had been given to me as a birthday gift. A special thank you must go to our waiter Terry who went out of his way to make our experience even more enjoyable.
First experience of the Seahorse Restaurant and was extremely impressed by the service, food and atmosphere
Food was very good, price was reasonable, great atmosphere, quite relaxed, service started off well but died a bit as the evening went on. Final bill was incorrect and corrected.Overall though, a good experience and would definitely return
Food was great and excellent service
I couldn't fault the whole evening. Very happy & informed staff. Very pleasent atmosphere with the wonderful singer. We had the Valentines day 5 course menu with prossecco for £55 per head. Extremely good value. We had a wonder evening at the Seahorse & will definitely return.
All staff were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and food was good if a little expensive. The Observatory was amazing and the Belfast night skyline was beautiful.
Fantastic food and service - great for a special night out.
Service and quality of food was excellent
This was a birthday treat for my sister and the whole experience was wonderful. Staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and accommodating. My sister received a glass of prosecco on arrival and a birthday plate with treats. Our surprise cake was looked after and beautifully presented after dinner. The food was amazing. There was a wonderful choice for my sister ....who can be quite fussy! But she loved everything. Thank you so much for making this birthday a wonderful experience. xx
Look forward to coming back!
Bit disappointing that the Guinness bread didn't arrive with the soup and even though staff seemed to notice this, we had to ask for the bread. Other than that our food was enjoyable & reasonably priced for a city centre hotel. The booking was made with the emphasis being my daughter's 21st birthday, however staff did not seem aware of this.
Nice meal and drinks , Restaurant service and food 1st class ,Observatory bar service was bit slow , but was busy all and good experience and will be back
All the staff were amazing especially Chloe.
We had dinner at the Seahorse for our 2nd wedding anniversary and I can honestly say if you told me I had to back every year and have the exact same meal for the next 50 anniversaries I'd be happy enough. We both had the fillet steak which was amazing and then I had the home made vanilla ice cream with honeycomb which although doesn't sound as exciting as some of the other desserts on the menu I can promise you it was unreal, you will not be dissapointed. I would definitely recommend the restaurant even if you are not staying in the hotel it is worth giving it a try if looking for somewhere new in Belfast.
Excellent setting, service and food
Great food and fantastic staff
Fantastic Christmas Day at The Grand Central Hotel Belfast. There were six in our group and it was a first visit for us all. Everything was brilliant and the staff could not have done enough for us. Food, Atmosphere, Service and value for money get top marks from us all. Will be returning to the hotel sooner rather than later and will be booking for next year. Thank you to all the staff who worked on Christmas Day and helped make our day fabulous.
