About Seahorse Restaurant at Grand Central Belfast
Hastings Grand Central is more than a hotel. It’s an ode to a city. Standing tall in Bedford Street, this impressive jewel fuses glamour and grandeur with a uniquely Belfast spirit. Perfectly placed in Belfast City. Just as Belfast is at the heart of the Grand Central, the Grand Central is at the heart of Belfast. Set in the up and coming Linen Quarter, the hotel is a spectacular hub for exploring Titanic Quarter’s history or Cathedral Quarter’s charming cobbled streets, pubs and eateries. Theatre buffs, shopaholics and historians alike will all be spoiled for choice, with a host of options right on their doorstep. Conveniently located for all transport access, the Grand Central is perfectly placed for every city centre endeavour – from business to leisure and everything in between.
This is one exquisite venue with three distinct spaces. Quality exudes from every angle – from the phenomenal cuisine and cocktails to the lavish fabrics and fittings. The art deco nods, high ceilings and sense of space add a distinctive drama – and the vibe inside shifts as the day rolls in and the sun rolls round. The restaurant and bar feel bright at breakfast and mesmerisingly dreamy of an evening. And this is the Seahorse’s real allure, it’s a destination with multiple moods – the perfect backdrop for sumptuous afternoon tea or delicious dining and fine wines.
Restaurant staff were superb!!!!
Lovely quality food. Friendly informative staff. Beautiful dining room
The dinner was superb. No complaints at all. Staff were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately the rating has been reduced by the breakfast experience. Cold coffee. No cutlery with the continental part of the breakfast and probably the worst full Irish I've ever had. Very unfortunate that such a fantastic dinner experience was let down by the polar opposite at breakfast.
Had a fabulous meal. The service was excellent and the staff so attentive they made it a very special birthday meal. Thanks for everything.
The Service was first class the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Delicious food, prompt and friendly service
Great experience. Special mention to Callum. Service all around hotel was great. Definitely a return visit planned.
Judit was so attentive and friendly to my mum and I. We had such a lovely afternoon thank-you! Will definitely recommend and be back.
Brilliant meal, great service. Thank you.
tHE EVENING WAS A GREAT SUCCESS FOR MY BIRTHDAY.
Being charged £2 extra for a tiny amount of pepper sauce when asking for a little more is not good service. When one waiter says don’t worry you tell us when you are ready for dessert and then the waitress arrives with the dessert menu straight after is a lack of communication and made the experience feel rushed. Having been a sommelier I was expecting to taste the wine when asked I said yes and then she poured it anyway without me tasting it. The Irish coffee wasn’t made correctly and the cream sank. If that was made by me I would never have served it. I think a little bit of staff training is required apart from that a lovely meal in lovely surroundings.
Food was exemplary
Attentive friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Gorgeous meal and lovely staff
Great staff great food
I was here about a year ago & had a grand selection of teas to choose from but was disappointed to have only one flavoured tea offered... no trolley of choice this time 😔 Staff & food were lovely.
Staff were very professional and were always at hand to make sure we had everything we needed.
Thank you Mr Martin, We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Take care The Seahorse team
Food was really good, we really enjoyed it 🥰
Worst experience ever for afternoon tea, will not be back!!! Very disappointed!
Good evening Mr Warnock, As explained this review is for the Observatory lounge and not the Seahorse Restaurant . Kind regards
First time at the Seahorse restaurant and it was a lovely experience. Fabulous food in beautiful surroundings and friendly, helpful staff. Loved it !
The service could not be faulted and the meal was tremendous, the chef's are a credit to the hotel. All the staff in the hotel made our wedding day so extra special as every member of staff from the front door onwards was so attentive. I could not recommend this hotel enough for a wedding venue and especially during this pandemic. Five stars all day.
Staff were very attentive xx especially James
The service from the team was very good. The atmosphere was subdued because of Covid but this was to be expected. However, the quality of the food was distinctly average. We had expected more.
Very friendly and professional service, thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
