About Goode Brothers New Lynn
We're your local kiwi-italian (or as we like to call it, kiwitalian) gastropub, bar and restaurant.
We're less about servicing the traditions of the old country and more about bringing it inline with contemporary kiwi culture. We're being bold and doing it our way, carving our own path that's fresh and inviting.
I had an absolute fabulous time being the eager student at the Pasta Master Class and the feed was exceptional! Such a great experience playing pasta expert with a haul that will feed the troops! Do not MISS the pasta carbonara OR the spinach fettuccini. Thank you to all involved and I look forward to coming back again!
Had an amazing time at the Pasta Class; so much fun and SUCH good value for money. The dinner was absolutely delicious and we got to try five different kinds of pasta as well as taking home a box of our own fresh pasta. 10/10 would recommend
Jono and his team were attentive from when we arrived to set up the party until we left. They were personable and professional and gave the kids the BEST experience! Highly recommend Goode Brothers Pizza Party and restaurant to everyone. You will not be disappointed!! Thanks again Jono, Keps and your team :)
Pasta School is great fun :)
Good food and friendly staff. I attended the pasta making course and it was really good.
Went to Goode Bros for their pasta class. The pasta making and food was good, but the service was a bit lacking. Spent time waiting around with little information about what was happening etc. and wait staff did not always check for drinks. Overall an enjoyable experience, but just thought it could be organised slightly differently to eliminate time just spent waiting.
Although it was a busy night on a Friday, was placed at a table next to the kitchen which I asked to have a quite table, the pizza was stuffed up two times by the time I got it, the pizza that I got in the end was cold, not baked properly, and looked as if there were terds in my plate. The only compliment I can give is the derrset was amazing desert
We came in for the pizza making class for kids and my son loved it.
My daughter loved pizza making!
My granddaughter and her friends love the whole experience in your restaurant
Some Antibacterial lotion would go a miss on the tables. Fantastic guys thank you! Top customer service! Would be great to do on a weekday other than in school holidays!
My steak last night was FANTASTIC cooked exactly as I asked. Thanks.
Participated in the pizza baking school holiday programme. Well organized and fun activity. I had a 5 and 3.5 year old participating and the both loved this experience. Great value for $12 per child.
Amazing my family love it here also my friends.
I brought my two kids in for the Pizza School and it was fantastic. Nice environment, staff were friendly and helpful and it was great value for money. We came to one last year aswell and the kids loved it, will definitely be back again!
Ran out of Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and tall glasses on the night. Also hard to actually get served where we were ropped off, everyone had to head round to the main bar to get served.
My daughter really enjoyed herself today at the pizza school thanks so much
We had a great time making pizza and my daughter would love to visit again and make something herself.
I was really disappointed this time with our experience with Pizza class for few reasons: 1) the cost was highly than last school holidays ($5 To $12) which I didn’t mind paying however this time round the pizza’s were so small. Again good value for money so not a big deal 2) service was disappointing...obviously restaurant was short of staff. So the waitress was stressed and could not cope with the number of people at the restaurant. I had to go to the counter to order and even then she wasn’t ready and mentioned they were short staffed (one waitress for whole restaurant) 3)The person who ran the pizza session was lovely but not professional as the last one in July. For many reasons: he was under prepared, last one they walked around and helped the kids more and his time parents has to be more hands on to even writing own name for kids on the pizza. Little things like this does make a huge difference. I feel the whole experience was not the same as last time. I think it is better to pay $20 per child and offer a better experience than charge $12 and end up loosing clients.
Some staff are warm and competent but others appear distracted and lacking service training. Better overall than the consistently indifferent service from Shaky Isles next door though!
One of your waiting staff seemed to be having a very off day today. We came in for the pizza kids making class. All of the hosts and chefs were wonderful, very friendly approachable and kid friendly. My daughter had a blast. Your one female wait staff however seemed very put out and annoyed everytime I asked her for assistance. She was unapproachable and not friendly at all. She brought the whole experience down and it ended on a sour note. Her customer service was appalling. You should teach her how to smile. The food and coffee we ordered was surprisingly delicious. One of my better encounters with your establishment. Normally only your pizzas are nice and everything else is horrible.
It was fun. The chef was very friendly
Great for kids
A free coffee for parents of children doing the pizza class as the children don't always want to share pizza with their parents.
the pizza making class was good value for money, small and very hands-on for the little ones. The chef did a really good job of being engaging with young ones.
