Great venue and food, service very slow for a working lunch
Great food, great service. Atmosphere a bit lacking
This was our second visit. The food is good & reasonably priced but I thought $14 for a glass of wine was too expensive - esp when the glass if nowhere near full. The restaurant is a bit noisy. The noise echoes down off the glass roof. The location for us was good being only a few minutes from Central Station.
Love the decor!
Food and drink was awesome . Normally out of our price range. But it was a special time so we didn’t mind. Service was awesome!
We had such a nice team lunch on Wednesday at Goldfinch. The service was fantastic, food delicious and we were all impressed with the decor.
What a gem to find in the city.
Lovely setting. Good value meals.
Restaurant looks nice and fresh
The staff were highly professional & engaging and the food quality was excellent. Pre dinner ambience on the roof top deck was fantastic for Valentines Day
Meals did not arrive together for the table, some had to wait longer. Tasty food but expensive. Great atmosphere.
Our group was delighted. Delicious food and real value for money very generous servings for the prices charged. We were very pleasantly surprise. The service was impeccable. Would go back again.
The service staff were exceptional.
The new renovation is bright n refreshing. Menu is similar to before with some new additions. We all have an enjoyable dinner
Was a Friday night and there were not many diners in the restaurant. Overall the food was good but the service was poor. When we walked in it was not clear where we should go to be seated for our booking, and we wandered around for a while before being approached. The staff were friendly when they did serve us, but the service all night was slow, even though there appeared to be plenty of staff working at the time. Firstly were informed that they did not have an ingredient for one of the cocktails we ordered from the menu so had choose again. I had to spend time trying to call over wait staff to order a second drink, and after our dinner plates were collected we waited quite some time to be offered desert. We had to eventually call someone over to take our order. Another table next to us also made a similar comment about slow service.
Food was of a high qulaity and serves were extremely generous. We ordered too much.....
Generally a good experience, food was good, service good, atmosphere was ok scaffolding outside detracted from a more pleasurable experience.
The service was good and the staff were lovely but the food was very disappointing for us.
Restaurant was well set out. Meals were very good
Pleased with the quality of the meal selected for the night
Disappointed that we phoned twice to increase the number on the booking. Both times Goldfinch phone rang out without answer so the reception took the message to pass on. Our second call increased our booking to five people. When we arrived at the restaurant they were surprised and said they only expected two people which made us feel embarrassed with our guests. Looked very unprofessional. Meant that both our two calls were never acted upon by the restaurant. For a new restaurant you need to lift your game.
