About Goldfinch Restaurant
An airy, light-filled space, a friendly green oasis away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Be enticed by the Pacific inspired Mediterranean dishes presented with casual sophistication. We invite you to relax with the city’s best coffee, OR, step it up a notch with colourful cocktails, craft beers, premium wines and our distinctive service. We are Goldfinch.
The food was of a high quality but the restrictions due to covid made the buffet option really difficult and disorganised. Would rather have just got a normal meal.
One of our favourite restaurants in Brisbane.
Service was appalling. We had at least 16 dishes piled up on our table not one dish was collected during our breakfast. We had been in the restaurant for at least 40 min and hadn’t been offered any drinks- not even water!
The atmosphere is nice, however, the food portion is very small. 18 bux for two small pieces of pancake with small scoop of icecream plus a few drops of berries is not worth it.
Good food. A bit pricey, should be put on some specials.
Food was great.
Food was great but the service was painfully slow. We were there on our lunch break and the whole experience took over an hour and a half... And we only had a main.
Went for lunch and ordered the steak. Perfectly cooked, amazing flavour. Great atmosphere would go back and recommend to anyone. Staff were lovely and attentive
My family and I attended this establishment last Saturday evening 17th April 2021. We were welcomed, seated promptly and were served drinks. The choice selection of food is superb. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The maitre'd surprised us all when she had organised a special dessert with sparklers for myself when dessert was served. The maitre'd had noticed earlier the birthday cards on the table and the guests talking about my birthday, so unbeknown to us all she organised with the kitchen a special dessert. Let me tell you, I was blown away with the gesture, as were we all. Thank you to our maitre'd for the evening and the kitchen brigade, you made the special evening MEMORABLE.
This was our first time dining here and we were not disappointed. The food was superb and the cocktails were outstanding. Highly recommend the margarita with chili. The service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back
we last visited your restaurant just before christmas last year and have realised once again it is our favourite restaurant and have missed it.
It was a very enjoyable lunch with great staff and wonderful food. We will be back.
Friendly staff and the service was fast.
Excellent food, ambience and service.
Food was great and very reasonable prices.
We arrived at your restaurant a little early and were understandably told that there would be a delay with the food (despite the restaurant being half empty). We waited 20 minutes and still hadn’t even been given menus or the wine list until I complained. Once we received the menus we waited for another 20 minutes but still didn’t receive any service. We decided to leave and will not be back.
Very rude waitress , had no idea what a Accor member for the day was. Won’t be going back soon
Lovely food- great flavours and a varied selection. Cocktails were relish.
I am the accorplus member and had a very bad experience on my last visit. As accorplus member, we have the benefits of 50% on food and understand drinks are not included. I ordered the afforgato as dessert which is under the dessert section on your menu. Your system considered this was a drink as there was alcohol. Afforgato is an italian dessert plus your menu clearly shows this is a dessert. Your manager insisted we paid for the alcohol part of the dessert and only gave a discount for the coffee/ice cream part. I think this is ridiculous. In the scenario, if I order the steak with red wine sauce, do I get a 50% discount on the steak and need to pay the full price of the red wine sauce as it is a kind of alcohol? If your restaurant considers the affogato as drinks, you should put this as drinks and not dessert on the menu or indicates the alcohol part needs to pay as a drink. For the manager, as this is the fault of the system and the incorrect classification on the menu, he should not charge us the full price of the alcohol part of the dessert. I felt ripped off and being managed badly. The dollar amount difference was immaterial but the incident was in principle incorrect and not managed appropriately. Having said that, other staff provided an excellent service to us. I request management provides a reasonable explanation for this incident to me. If I do not hear any explanation, I consider management is ignoring our feedback. Please then do not ask us to provide any feedback in the future or ask us to provide positive feedback only.
Went on recommendation from a co-worker. Great service and delicious food which was well priced.
It’s been a while since we last had dinner at the Goldfinch but have to say dinner was really good. We had the steak and Barramundi for mains, both were exceptional. Atmosphere and service was great. We will be back.
It was very disappointing that fish was not on the menu. All types of fish and a couple on the Chef’s Special Recommendations! No explanation, either.
Wonderful food dishes and wine
