About Godolphin Arms
Enjoy table service, sit back and relax in one of our light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Marazion, Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats nine, or alternatively, relax in our upper deck that has easy sofas, comfy chairs and a log burner. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the chilled-out Beach Bar. Outside, the beach terrace is a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views of Mount's Bay and simply watch the world go by.
Friendly staff, excellent service
What a lovely evening. We all enjoyed our food choices, my squash and feta salad was lovely and I had room for lemon tart and champagne sorbet! We were looked after very well by Sara and Phoebe. The atmosphere was special as there was a Christmas fair on the lower level and a male voice choir!
I had the beef carvery, the beef was very thinly sliced yet I had to ask for a steak knife , it was chewy. the vegetables were far too hard for my taste and the gravy was mediocre. on the plus side, the chocolate brownie was delicious and the service was great, our waiter was very attentive .
Really lovely family meal . Plenty of choice on the menu and a lovely atmosphere. The lady who served us was excellent . Be back soon . Claire
The staff were as ever very welcoming and attentive. We appreciated too that our dog, Ned, was not only welcome to accompany us by the Godophin Arms Hotel establishment but also made a fuss of by the staff. It was our first restaurant experience with Ned (he is an 18month rehomed labrador ) and we really appreciated the various staff taking an interest in him. It made our day feel very special. Thank you !
We had a very enjoyable Birthday meal(10 pax). Table was ready on time, food good quality & good portions..well done to Chefs for serving all of the dishes together. Waiting staff v friendly & did a v good job-brought our Birthday cake to our table. Thankyou to everyone!
Food was really nice. Service by Danial was great, very informative, and friendly.
All perfect. Food superb particularly the fish pie. Service really first rate.
Had forgotten how big the portions were, didn't need anything else for the rest of the day, would come again.
Lovely experience as usual. If it’s just a coffee, lunch or dinner it’s always enjoyable.
Lovely setting excellent lunch thank you
Very nice setting
When I made the reservation I clearly stated that the two of us had gluten intolerance . On being presented with the menus there was no indications regarding allergies, but a footnote did state that there was a separate menu, which was duly presented. However this merely listed all the dishes on the main menu and listed all the allergens contained within that dish. The bottom line was that the menu became so restricted that we were on the point of walking out, as it was quite clear that whoever is responsible for the menus here does NOT want to be bothered by customers with allergies. With a little thought and effort most dishes can be prepared gluten free, but it would appear that the chef here either is ignorant of that or just doesn't want to bother. A good example of this is the signature 100% beef burger on the menu. I ordered this with a gluten free bun but then was told that it contained mustard which is not gluten free. Coleman's ready made mustard contains gluten, but their mustard powder does not ! Yes you have to mix the powder with water - but the result is a mustard totally comparable with the ready made version. Most people like vinegar on their chips, but malt vinegar contains gluten. I asked for a substitute - white wine, cider or rice vinegar. NONE available - I rest my case. CONCLUSION: If you have an allergy stay clear of the Godolphin Arms, Marazion.
Really enjoyable afternoon well done to the team.
Three of us ordered burgers but unfortunately we were not asked how would we like these cooked . All three were undercooked to our taste. The roast x 2 and fish & chips were lovely . Lovely views of st Michaels mount and otherwise swift service.
Fabulous Sunday lunch we will be back and will recommend you to friends and family
Brilliant attentive staff
Absolutely smashing birthday dinner for my wife and the full Cornish Breakfast was the perfect start up for the next day. The view across Mounts Bay with an onshore half gale was impressive to say the least. Many thanks and we shall be back!
Great venue for a family Sunday lunch
So easy to book with just a quick online form. Friendly waiters. Incredibly quick service. Food delicious - we has the roast which was a little bit lukewarm or it would be 5 stars. Puddings were awesome. Nice comfortable atmosphere - feel like you can happily come in after a walk a bit muddy or sandy.
Always a pleasure. Each time we are in Cornwall we always come for breakfast or lunch... or both! Think we need to stay in our next visit 😀
Great fish and chips!! :)
Really accommodating and attentive staff. AMAZING fish and chips -so fresh. Children’s portions and adult portions really generous and we watched the stunning sunset over the bay. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back certainly.
Beautiful view of course. Friendly efficient staff. Food yummy. Two teeny gripes: expected an adult evening but a family with young children seated too close and when we knocked over a glass of wine no staff noticed or helped mop up. We will be back for sure.
