About Godolphin Arms
Enjoy table service, sit back and relax in one of our light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Marazion, Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats nine, or alternatively, relax in our upper deck that has easy sofas, comfy chairs and a log burner. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the chilled-out Beach Bar. Outside, the beach terrace is a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views of Mount's Bay and simply watch the world go by.
Sunday roast was poor, warm roast potatoes which had been hanging about too long. Three thin slices of beef. Red cabbage dominated the plate greens not cooked. Large Yorkshire again too big filled with gravy. Sweed on plate like sorry cow pad. Dogs in restaurant being fed by owners. Waitress stroking dog and making a fuss of it. Hope she washed her hands and changed her apron..I observed one of your kitchen staff pm carrying plastic bag full of Yorkshire’s, wonder where these came from. Sorry this was a poor experience and like others I question dogs in restaurants. Sorry I will not be having a meal with you again. Finally my wife and I had two large red wine £9 each. Wow even in London and back home I have never been charged that amount.
Great location and ambiance. Food was yummy and service was quick.
Lovely meal in beautiful setting, staff very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious!
Yet another totally enjoyable meal at the Godolphin Arms restaurant. As ever lovely food served well with the beautiful backdrop of St Michael’s Mount. Love it and will easily return.
This is a wonderful hotel with friendly, helpful staff in every area. The food and drink are excellent and the accommodation beautiful. We would happily come back!
Excellent food and service!
Booked beforehand hence had Fantastic views from our table whilst having a very enjoyable meal. Thank you all.
Lovely! Can’t fault anything!
We have been to the Godolphin on many occasions and have always enjoyed it. This time we were a table of 7 to celebrate my birthday and engagement. We were really disappointed with the food. We all had the roast. None of the food was hot. The lamb extremely fatty. The plates were swimming in gravy. My vegetarian sounded lovely (blue cheese and mushroom tart) but it was like a quiche with gravy poured all over it. Not very nice at all. I’ve always enjoyed the vegetarian options with the roasts in the past and felt that an effort had been made to make something tasty for a vegetarian, but this was awful. The quality was nowhere near what it has been. Maybe a different chef? We didn’t say anything on the day as it was a special occasion and I didn’t want to make a fuss. Also the cost has increased to £16 which I think is very expensive for a roast dinner of that quality. I’d return for a drink as we love the view and restaurant, but sadly I don’t think we’ll be eating there again.
Very tasty and enjoyable Sunday lunch. We be returning next Sunday with family.
We met my parents for afternoon tea (we are local) and was disgusted by the cost of parking - £4.50 for less than two hours. My parents are in their 80’s and this was a ridiculous expense for them and us. When I booked the table a week before we were still charged £4.50 for essentially 5mins... attendant refused to allow us to pop in and book, even if my partner stayed in car. This isn’t really going to keep locals using you I’m afraid.
Terrible service and no atmosphere. Lots of staff but no care or attentiveness to making dining there an enjoyable service. Food was tasty and good... waiting for a drink to accompany your meal is not good. Need more mature staff and leadership/direction.
Fabulous place, great friendly service, beautifully renovated, dog friendly and great views from the restaurant. Excellent value
Disappointed, had to wait to be seated although we had pre booked. There were a few flies on the windows. The floor wasn't clean nor the table. I had a live Catapiller in my lunch which spoilt our meal.
Fantastic food with a lovely view! Very polite staff and great service.
We came on 1st October for lunch. The food arrived on time but one meal. The delay between our last meal coming to the table and the other meals arriving was quite significant. However the staff gave us a free beverage and also took the cost of the meal which was late of the table. Overall, a nice meal.
Brilliant food and overall service. Only criticism is the seat where you sat us had no back. It was just a bench by a window. By the end of my meal I felt very uncomfortable. Didn’t spoil my time with you though.
As usual the food and the service was great, always delighted to come back.
Worst service I have had in a restaurant in some many years. Not even an apology when I asked for a clean water glass - the one I had on my table was filthy. I will not be going back and would certainly not recommend to others. A shame as the sister hotel where I stayed - Mount Haven - was excellent, with superb service.
Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived so had to wait. The service was dreadful waiting ages for our drinks to arrive and for our order to be taken. We could see our drinks on the bar waiting for at least 10 minutes. When the starter plates were collected we were asked if we wanted the desert menu!! When eventually our mains did arrive after a long wait they were cold so obviously been ready waiting a long time. These were returned and cooked fresh. This was our last evening of our holiday so not a very pleasant experience
Absolutely wonderful, so accommodating and helpful
I was limited on choice due to being pregnant and thought the burger was the safe bet but when I asked the waitress for the burger to be well done she told me it wasn’t possible so had even less choice so I found our whole evening rather disappointing
Great food, efficient and attentive service in great surroundings. What’s not to like? We always enjoy eating here and bring all of our friends when they come to visit in Marazion.
