About Glovers Alley
Glovers Alley is a fine dining Restaurant overlooking the beautiful surrounds of Stephen's Green.
Chef/Owner Andy McFadden as and his talented team create beautifully presented, impeccable, elegant dishes while the Front of House team provide an exceptionally memorable guest experience.
I visited with my mother and we had the most amazing experience, the service it top notch and each individual displayed their unique knowledge which made for a truly incredible experience. I think the tasting plates at the beginning and the pallet cleanser before dessert is the epitome of the experience as it makes you feel very appreciated as a customer. Even the fine details of homemade bread and butter and the sweets at dinner are irresistible. Complements to everyone involved.
Had a really great time here in Glover's Alley. My parents had a great time and the food was just fantastic
Had tasting menu plus wines. Sommelier's wine introductions excellent. Combination of steak tartare with mature chardonnay was unusual, but worked superbly. Very slight criticism. Occasionally difficult to catch what serving staff were saying. Also, once or twice, server asked how everything was, didn't seem interested in response. Impression - asked, but didn't care about answer. Pre-starter snacks were delicious/delightful.
Beautiful food in stunning surroundings. Excellent service.
Superb service and food, fantastic wine and great setting
Great service and experience from start to finish. The tasting menu was exceptional.
Great dinner and wonderful time.
10/10 from start to finish.
A fabulous night out. Superb food and service. I've eaten in Michelin starred restaurants all over the world and the food in Glovers Alley has to be up there with most of them. The Dublin Bay prawn starter is stunning but my dish of the night was the Coconut Rice desert, simply fantastic.
Gorgeous decor and location. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The overall cost was expensive but the food was exceptional and perfect wine pairing by sommelier which added that extra something. Definitely worth trying at least once.
food and presentation was very good thought the 80 euro menu expensive for a 3 coarse lunch would recommend it for a different dining experience well worth travelling 200 miles return for the experience.
From the moment we walked in to the restaurant, we felt welcome. The service was superb. Every member of staff that we interacted with were excellent. They were pleasant, knowledgeable and made us feel like they really wanted us to enjoy our evening. And the food was indescribably great. Beautifully cooked, well balanced and seasoned to perfection. Every plate was cleared. If licking the plates was acceptable, we would have done it! This dinner was a special treat for us, but the whole experience was worth every penny. I heartily recommend this restaurant, and look forward to the next time I get to go. A fabulous new addition to the Dublin restaurant scene
Superb, utterly superb! The food was exceptional, evocative and delicious. The wine, expertly paired by James was fantastic and the service impeccable. Many thanks to Ed and the team for a wonderful lunch. As foodies we will be recommending to all our friends and we will definitely be back. Superb!
I had a great lunch experience with my Mum, Saturday gone. The food was amazing, the décor was beautiful and the staff were all very friendly, approachable and fun... not stuffy which can sometimes be the case with this style of dining. I would definitely recommend Glovers Alley to friends and business colleagues. The sommelier was super helpful and not pushy at all when it came to choosing our wine and, he was very informative.
Excellent price for the level of food quality and service
The food and service was fabulous but it would have to be for the prices. The price makes it more of a one off than a regular return. The wine list under €100 was very limited and struck me as an exercise to extract maximum cash from the customer rather than giving customers options to have a reasonably priced wine with an expensive meal. To reiterate though, the food was amazing!
We went for a Birthday/Celebration lunch and were very happy with the experience. Great service, relaxed and friendly while still being attentive and professional. An interesting wine list with great choices by the glass, which was great for us as we just wanted one over lunch, we ended up having two glasses! The bread, desserts and rabbit course were highlights for us, while one or two dishes on the 6-course tasting were a bit disappointing (Cauliflower dish and Fish with beetroot ketchup). Overall an enjoyable and memorable experience in a fantastic dining room and location.
A great experience, excellent food with great service. Recommended!
Enjoyed the starters of prawns and scallops. Mains of lamb was excellent but my brill combination did not work. Too much asparagus and not so sure about the orange. Wine list too expensive
The basis of an excellent restaurant which although in its early stages is showing some maturity.
We went for the tasting menu. It was enjoyable but we had some food envy with some of the al a Carte dishes we saw. Excellent wine list. Excellent service - attentive but discreet.
Excellent service, subtle music in the background, impeccable food. I could not fault lunch at Glover's Alley. The tasting menu was excellent, accompanied by a glass of Spanish wine with sensational flavours on each dish! I will be returning for dinner on the next special occasion and cannot wait to try out the menu!
From the moment you enter the opulent dining room of Glover's Alley you know you are in for a memorable experience. The restaurant , in a colour scheme of dark green and pink, with lots of curves and mirrors is really unique , modern and fun. The waiters look very smart in their assymetric waistcoats and the ratio of staff to diners ensure that service is particularly smooth. Our lunch was fabulous. The foie gras parfait we had as a pre-starter signalled the excellent standard of what was to follow. The food was a treat for the taste buds as well as the eyes. Each dish was light, balanced and original and a triumph to the wonderful chefs. Wishing Andy Mc Fadden and his team every success.
Music could be slightly louder as other diner's conversations could be heard
Fantastic food and elegant presentation in a wonderfully plush new space. Great wine choice also. Felt very spoiled. Ed, by the way, is a charmer and really added to our great experience. Thank you!
