It was a perfect setting for dinner with friends. The service was faultless from the start, attentive, friendly and discreet, Beau our waiter looked after us well and made our evening memorable for all the right reasons. We all enjoyed our food and those that had the chocolate fondant are still talking about it (best dessert ever). We would definitely come back.
Superb Sunday lunch, will definitely be returning soon.
All very nice but as a group of 10 we all thought it was expensive, when ordering a whole crab I would have expected to be presented with a dressed crab in the Shell and the claws as was served, it took no skill by your chefs to plonk a whole crab on a plate, very disappointed and at £22 is poor. Loved the setting and the staff excellent
We had a fantastic evening, the food was incredible, service immaculate and the wine excellent and at a reasonable price. Cant wait to go back.
Wow. Just WOW. Stock up on the oysters tho we were really disappointed that everyone else had polished them off before our seating
Such a fantastic space to dine. The staff are incredibly attentive. The food was divine. The whole experience was really special. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will hopefully be returning soon.
Despite the crisis over the gas we had a stunning meal & all 10 of us agreed that every dish was delicious Also the wines were really top notch- from the Roderer Champage to the Crozes Hermitage & the pudding wine. So yes we had a fantastic Birthday lunch & the lack of gas didn’t seem to prevent great food arriving on our plates
Fantastic meal, lovely atmosphere
Service exceptional but food not for me.
The restaurant itself is lovely and a bit different. Service was average and so was the food which I thought was also overpriced for what you got. The menu was limited and they ran out of the chicken so that was not good. Presentation of dishes was basic for the price paid. Wouldn’t go back.
Excellent location and food.
I had a delightful meal! Unlike a visit two months ago....the food was excellent (compliments new chef??) and the service was super-friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back :)
We just had an omelette and chips but everything was spot on
Excellent Sunday lunch with great service.
Wonderful meal, beautifully cooked and great value for money. Glad we booked early as the restaurant became very busy and we would have had to wait a while to be served but the atmosphere was very good. Staff were friendly and were very attentive.
This was the second time we’ve visited the Glassboat Brasserie, outstanding overall experience both times during both lunch and dinner. Thoroughly recommended.
This was a return trip to the restaurant 6 months after celebrating our wedding there. The staff are superb, they remembered us and treated us like royalty. Every staff member is polite, engaging and attentive. The food is delicious, just as we remembered. I thoroughly recommend that you give the Glass Boat a try, you won't be disappointed!
the kale was too salty, the fish too buttery, the French fries too thin, (obviously bought frozen), the ile flottante creme anglaise was mediocre (no trace of vanilla, thick, too sweet, again not made from a chef). Only the crab was good, because it does not need preparation, only boiling in water. Your cuisine is well below expectations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Glassboat, the staff were attentive and efficient without being pushy, but friendly and professional. Food was excellent and perfectly cooked...dessert was a little disappointing( creme brulee was slightly split and not quite set...had a nice flavour) overall, a great time and nice atmosphere.
Excellent dinner; delicious well put together menu with lovely wine, friendly and attentive service. Look forward to coming back!
A really warm welcome, prompt and polite service from people who clearly cared and were interested in us having a good time. The fixed price menu was varied, interesting and the quality was high. Our only feedback would be that the pork was a little fatty. A really lovely start to our evening; we will certainly be back.
This has been our 3rd visit and once again it didn't disappoint. The gentlemen who served us ( I believe he was from Brazil was first class) he made our visit very special, and is a credit to you establishment. The food was of a high standard and we are definitely looking forward to our return.
A lovely meal with very attentive service in a unique and special location. We will return for a pre-theatre prix fixe menu soon
Very nice place to go, good food!
I had a great evening and was served by a lovely friendly waitress, it’s a great place to have food and is in a great location. I had the duck eggs as main course but was not really that much food so had a McDonald’s on the way home, the food was very tasty and next time I would add a side dish or two.
