About Giggling Squid Stratford
The New Thai Restaurant Giggling Squid is a Thai food sensation. The simple, rustic, fresh food of Thailand.
The best Thai food For lunchtime eating, our tasting 'sets' or our Thai tapas.
A service charge should not be added on unless the customers want to leave a tip of their choice.
This is our 3rd visit and the best yet, the food was delicious as always and the service attentive but not intrusive. I especially loved the black sesame ice cream
We have visited many times and loved it. the last 2 visits have been a different experience, and will not be visiting again. The Staff were abrupt our food had to be sent back has it was cold to reappear having been re heated in the microwave, curry was ok but the pad Thai was just a sticky mush. a lot of money for a poor experience.
Amazing food. Very friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend.
Service was very good, food was excellent highly recommend the restaurant
Our experience was not great Incredibly slow service. Poky table. Very greasy fatty starters and hot plates delivered 10 mins before food came out! Very overpriced and mentioned our extra slow service to the waiter who just laughed and asked if we’d taken bets on how much the bill would be????? Will not be returning or recommending!!
Great options, amazing tasting food
Second time eating here and equally as impressed as the first. Great menu for children to introduce them to Thai food. Will be back again ....
Food was utterly delicious and the staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely visit again!
The best food I’ve had in a very long time! So delicious. Service was very friendly, atmosphere fantastic. Love love Loved it here
The flavours were authentically Thai but seemed toned down somewhat . The Thom Yam soup was less spicy than when we've eaten it in South East Asia but was still pungeant and sour which was great. The Green curry was an excellent consistency and flavour but I am used to it being served with egg plant (baby aubergines ) inside. The papaya salad was tasty but had less chilli than we are used to and was without chopped peanuts which was a surprise and a disappointment. The seabass was superbly steamed and served in a delicate sauce with well complimenting vegetables. Generally I feel that the range of fresh vegetables at the chef's disposal should be increased. If visitors have spent many years living in SE Asia , as we have, it may be an idea to have a little word with the waiter upon ordering in order to ensure that one doesn't receive a 'moderated' version of the dishes that that one is craving . We will return but I shall remember to ask for the dishes to be made as if for a Thai palate. Staff were very courteous despite being busy and all was clean and orderly.
Not happy with paying a service charge , would rather leave a tip
Great food, always excellent service and wonderful atmosphere
Fantastic food, lovely restaurant and great staff, had the best meal and will be returning! Thank you
Lovely tasting food!
Brilliant food, service and very impressed. Already recommended to several people!
Busy, lively, friendly service. Good food, quick to serve, only downside is wines are a bit expensive for the quality offered. All told, recommended and will go again.
Amazing food and service, thank you.
