Wonderful! Thank you for a perfect lunch
The standard from the first years has definitely changed - over priced food and small portions for what’s paid., £7 for four mini dumplings for example - lovely crockery but disappointing contents -all vegetables virtually raw and not cooked - lovely staff
Ordered cocktails and there was only one shot of alcohol which we couldn’t taste.. surely a cocktail has at least 2 alcoholic mixes? The starter was cold and just ok. Standards have slipped from 2 years ago.
Food is delicious and not badly priced however wine in my opinion is quite expensive and would add a few cheaper bottles to the wine list. Saying that the wine I drank, the Apello Sauvignon Blanc, was delicious but expensive.
Our favourite place to eat Can't fault it food is amazing Wish we could afford to go more often
I’ve been to this restaurant 3 times now and have always had a great experience. Food is very nice & service is friendly & professional. Thank you, see you again.
Pleasantly surprised to find a place that can actually cook Thai like it’s supposed to be!! Fresh, fabulous, and flavoursome. Thank you x
Waiting staff very attentive and were able to advise us as one of our party has a coconut allergy. Very helpful in letting us know what to avoid.
LOVELY- the only thing I am disappointed with is that you do not have a Giggling Squid near Leeds, I long for the day you open a restaurant there .
the waitress dropped a sharp knife off one of the plates, which caught one of us in the side. although she did apologise, she giggled. not good service from a waitress
I felt the customer service has declined since my last visit, as we arrived we were not greeted for a few minutes, we were shown to our table but on the way the waitress stopped to talk to another member of staff about other clients and were made to wait, without any acknowledgement, for a while. The top level was cold until the resturant got full. The food portions seem to have got smaller. The food was still amazing, very tasty, fresh and healthy.
First visit nice bistro atmosphere
This is a great restaurant and I can't recommend it enough. The food and service was great. The only thing I will say is it's incredibly warm in there. They could do with some air con or leaving the door open.
We have been here a few time food always good as we haven't been for a few months was shocked as not as clean as before and starting to look a bit tired the chicken was lovely beef very salty bring back the sizzling streak much nicer
Great meal!!
The food was excellent and the friendly, professional service made our visit a most enjoyable experience.
I love the Giggling Squid and it has been a favorite restaurant of mine of mine for my years, however our more recent visit was a little disappointing. Its great to see they have some new items on the menu, however the curry tasting platter was disappointing. You get 4 good sized bowls of curry sauces to try, however only 5 rice crackers. Why do restaurants do this? It even says on the same of the dish, 'sharing'...why do an odd number? We were left with loads of sauce left over and no more crackers. So this was disappointing as it cost £10.00 for essentially 5 crackers and a little bit of sauce as the rest went to waste. Usually the service is fantastic, however we were left waiting for 15 minutes before we were asking if we wanted any drinks, by this time we were ready to order drinks, starters and mains. The lady waitress who took our plates and brought over one of our rounds of drinks, didnt look at us or speak to us at all, which I thought was very rude. The main courses were absolutely delicious, you cant fault them at all. One of the good things about the Giggling Squid is that the food is consistently good, just a bit of a shame about their new starter.
Absolutely amazing food and service. Best food I have eaten for a ling time. Will definitely be back.
Brilliant food, great atmosphere, well priced! We keep coming back!
Giggling Squid is one of our favourite places. Had been to Brighton restaurant earlier in the week!
Great food.. Helpful staff.. Lovely experience over all😊.. Thank you
A group of 6 of us went for a special birthday meal. We had been really looking forward to it. The starters were delicious, although a little expensive. Two of us ordered the sticky chicken and were extremely disappointed. We felt it wasn’t well described, it was stringy, and flavourless, more like deep fried than stir fried. My sister asked for some sweet chilli sauce to give it some flavour and I couldn’t even eat mine the texture and flavour were so unpalatable. We were also very disappointed that none of the stir fries even came with noodles or vegetables and the separate noodles we bought were £5.95 for very basic position of noodles and spring onions. Some of the party purchased rice and the portion size was very small, which makes no sense given the price of rice. All in all, maybe we just ordered badly as some of the food looked amazing, but we were disappointed
Great food a really good dining experiemce.
Amazing food with great service - thank you
This is one of our favourite places to eat but sadly we had a terrible experience. Service was so slow and most of the staff were occupied servicing takeaways which affected their ability to look after diners. We will not be back in a hurry which is a shame as we love the food.
