About Gather E17
Gather E17 is a pop up restaurant based in an unusual venue, a craft jeans factory in the Blackhorse Lane area of Walthamstow, East London. We are a husband and wife team running a variety of events.
Martin Major, Director and Head Chef, is a Michelin trained chef and has spent nearly 20 years in kitchens. Charlotte Major, Director and Front of House Manager creates a unique atmosphere in this striking venue. Come and dine amongst the sewing machines and rolls of denim, look into our open kitchen and watch Martin at work.
We use seasonal, British and locally sourced ingredients where ever possible using some fresh ingredients cultivated in our allotment only a few minutes walk from the restaurant.
Fantastic evening! We tried the 5 course menu on a Friday. Each course was fresh, varied and delicious. Charlotte, Martin and Co made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere was very relaxing- we found it the perfect way to wind down after a busy week. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.
Really was a perfect dining experience! Unique location & atmosphere, genuinely friendly service and outstanding food.
We love Gather E17 - it’s such beautifully made food which is absolutely delicious and the service is so friendly. We love heading there for brunch on Sunday and can’t wait to come one Friday evening too!
Absolutely amazing!! We loved every single bite!
The food was amazing and the service was great. We felt really welcomed. I've never had dinner in a jeans factory before but we will again!
Thanks so much for a wonderful meal!
Lovely little place with gorgeous food
Fantastic food and the couple who run it are lovely.
The food was incredible!!! I especially loved the root veg salad.
Stunning and unique setup. Enjoy the delicious food, local apple juice and leaf through on-site literature including Monocle and a global history of cotton, each relating to the atelier's venue.
Thank you for a really lovely evening! The food was inventive and delicious, and very knowledgeably explained.
Love this place. So quirky. And the food is amazing!
Charlotte was very welcoming and the brunch menu was absolutely delicious. Great coffee from Wood Street Coffee too. Will definitely be looking at popping back for a Friday evening. We did though find it difficult to find the entrance so perhaps a Gather E17 balloon attached to the fencing that would be visible from the Priestley Way bus stop would be a good idea.
Superb superb superb. Warm friendly and the most delicious food. Best dining experience I have ever had.
