Excellent meal. Served very promptly by efficient staff
Food was average but staff were lovely and nice place to spend an evening
First time visit with family. Very nice restaurant with lovely decor. Welcoming, helpful staff. Meal was very tasty and whole party enjoyed their meals. Good value for money. Will return.
I felt that my main course portion (fish & chips) was a bit minimal. I think that the others in the group were satisfied but they did not give a lot of praise. They did like the bottle of wine which they chose.
Helpful and courteous staff provided excellent service all round
Lovely place food was beautiful best way to spend our anniversary
Had a lovely family Sunday lunch with you. Had a lovely time and a lovely meal. Thank you.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere.... staff attentive nothing was an issue for them...food was delish ....would definitely recommed a wee trip to Garvie & co.
Lovely food will definitely be back
It was a busy Wednesday lunchtime but the staff coped very well and the food was excellent.
Very friendly staff and food good value for money.
Great staff, very attentive and knowledgeable regarding the dishes they serve. Quick efficient service and the food was delicious, we dined as a family of four and every one of us throroughly enjoyed each course. Decor and seating was spacious and modern but it had a warm homely feeling. Can’t wait to come back!
Service very slow
It was quiet but what do you expect on cold Tuesday in January but food and service excellent.
Hi, I had to wait 5 minutes after the rest of my party to have my meal served to myself haggis, beeps & tatties, charged for a main but I think I got a starter, I was finished in under 5 minutes and 5 minutes quicker than my fellow guests who had burgers. Other than a chip shop i’ve never been served deep fat fried battered haggis fingers (3 off) as a main meal, haggis bonbons yes main no, maybe that was the delay, waiting for the chippy to open. When desert came around the kids sundae was not served and we had to go looking for a server to find out where it was, we were all finished by the time the sundae was served. The burger, steak frites and the bangers’n’mash was nice by all accounts, the fish & chips could have been served on a smaller plate or served with more food. Nice wee add on at the bottom of the bill telling us what the average cost was, saves a lot of head scratching. Will we be back???….
Friendly service from all the staff and we were made to feel welcome.
We went as a family for Christmas fixed price festive menu. 3 courses and a glass of fizzy for £25. Overall good value good choice and up to usual good standard. 1 issue was the very poor Christmas pud which looked and tasted like a slice of fruit loaf. Service was very good - would recommend.
The food was absolutely delicious, thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
My friend and I had a lovely meal.
Very nice dinner experience with family. Staff very accommodating turkey dinner was excellent.
Complained about the quantity of monkfish ordered on the festive menu. Chef advised it was because it was expensive to buy in. Unsatisfactory and discount offered. Service and atmosphere good but very disappointed with my main monkfish course which resembled rice pudding which not my favourite dish. Such a marked difference between my friends choice of Turkey which filled the plate and the each plate left the table clean. Mine was the exception. Very disappointed. So my score regarding my experience is low.
Warm and welcoming, great choice of food, which was cooked perfectly.our server Anna was first class nothing was too much trouble, very reasonably priced and everyone in our party agreed . Would definitely recommend and I will be visiting again in the near future .
On arrival we were seating immediately. We then waited 35 minutes for a drink despite complaining several times. I appreciate that it was a busy night but clearly not enough staff on to handle demand. When the starters arrived a minute later the staff tried to serve my main meal which they took away. I had to complain to the manager that the condition of the toilets were awful and needed cleaning, which they did do. It wasn't a good experience at all.
Fabulous. Holly was very efficient and attentive.
Went for my daughter's birthday, arrived and there was only one other table in at the time yet it took 20 minutes before we were seen for a drinks order. Clearly by 20 minutes we had already chosen all 3 courses. Then sadly the staff member spilled drinks all over themselves/the floor and mine and my daughters legs (alot of splashes on our legs not soaked) but sadly we had to request some torque to wipe this off as it was disregarded in the clean up. Overall the attention from the staff was poor, we must have been attempting to get attention for a further 10 minutes to get the bill and similarly we had to go to the desk to pay so we could leave. All food was of a good quality, just the ambiance and the service that is as poor.
