Three course dinner with coffee for £34.50 per person
We had a really lovely experience and the food was excellent. Very highly recommend to friends. Will be booking again in the near future.
Gluten free sandwiches were horrible.
Amazing lovely afternoon tea, took a while to get seated as only one was seating the queue. And took a long time to get tea delivered, other than that friendly male waiter and brilliant food. Polite and lovely atmosphere.
Wow - what a great discovery - thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and will certainly be back one day ........ sooner rather than later I hope!!!
Staff were not attentive at all. We had to ask for a menu (and when they gave it they only gave 1 when there were 2 of us), ask for drinks, ask to order and ask to pay by going to them, not them coming to us first like waiters/waitresses should. We are kind of surprised by this poor service.
Delightful stay at Coombe Abbey with a lush dinner
Had a fantastic stay here everything is so beautiful
Nice atmosphere and beautiful surroundings
All good but we were ignored after our main course. We waited for 40 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. Nobody did. We asked a waiter for the bill. Waited another 10 minutes and had to ask another server. Apart from that it was lovely.
The staff were fantastic, but the food was extremely expensive and unfortunately the steak my partner had was disappointing! The meal cost £111, which started off at £37.99 per head so with all the extras, ie vegetables it is costly! We had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast on both mornings, this was my third visit to Coombe Abbey so did feel standards not as high.
Had an absolutely lovely afternoon tea. Your garden room is beautiful lovely and light. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious as was our coffee and strawberry and mango tea. Felt very posh. Beautifully presented too. Was my partners first afternoon tea experience and he would gladly go again.
Just felt being so busy made it a bit missing good atmosphere
A nice, relaxing afternoon tea. Garden room staff not very attentive as we had to ask for everything we needed, there were no regular check backs. Restaurant manager appeared flustered and spoke to staff in a rude manner in front of guests which was unnecessary and unprofessional! But overall a good experience and will be back again.
We did enjoy our tea very much but the heaters were on for 4 hours and it was unbearably hot. Many patrons were fanning themselves and the waiting staff looked hot too! I remember it being too hot last time too but it was on a cold day so it wasn’t as noticeable.
We had a great time room was very nice food was excellent I hope someone put a board or branch. In the pond out front so the ducklings could get out as they were struggling to get to there mum
Expensive for what it was .. half way through before my drink arrrived .. dirty glass .. expedited more
Food was overpriced
Great experience and afternoon tea was excellent.
Not nearly enough sandwiches mess all around in the restaurant service was slow and very overpriced for what was on offer
We went for afternoon tea for a treat, mine was gluten free which was ok nothing you couldn't buy from a shop (I don't think anything was homemade apart from the jelly) and my husband had the normal one and I have never seen such small scones in my life they were so tiny and awful. Definitely not worth the money
Lovely setting and really friendly staff. Good choice of menu
More savoury and less sweets on afternoon tea would be preferable. Perhaps a quiche or sausage roll ?
This was a excellent venue for a break, the staff, service and elegant surroundings were ideal for my anniversary celebration The little extras made all the difference and something we truly appreciated. We stayed in the Lucy bedchamber which was excellent and a fantastic experience. Thankyou Coombe Abbey
The green light and the extractor fan that were on all night in the room didn't make for a good nights sleep, but apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.
