About Coombe Abbey - Garden Room Restaurant
With its ambient atmosphere, elegant surroundings and located in the main hotel within minutes of many Warwickshire and West Midland towns and cities. Our Garden Room Restaurant at Coombe Abbey Hotel, is perfect for leisurely lunches, afternoon tea, romantic evenings and special occasions.
Three course dinner with coffee for £34.50 per person
This is the second visit for me and on both occasions I was very happy. I will be back
We were very disappointed with the table d'hote menu. The salmon starter was a bit bland. The mushroom risotto was not very pleasant and my wife left most of it and when asked by our waiter if she enjoyed she replied not really. The chocolate dessert was the best course. The blackberry mousse again lacked flavour. This was all so disappointing as we had a much better meal at the new years ball and on previous occasions when we have had private dining. On the basis of this last meal we shall probably not return which is a shame as coombe has many memories for us since before we married there in 2006.
Excellent evening meal. No faults to report.
Table cloths would have made it feel more traditional, also a top up of coffee would have been nice. Service was great.
I’d like to thank you for the fantastic service we received when we came for my wife’s birthday. The table we had in it’s own little area was perfect and all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We were already talking about when we would next be back as we walked to the car..!
Really enjoyed the afternoon tea experience we had in the garden room restaurant. Great service, lovely food and nice atmosphere.
Very efficient and lovely service - lovely room and relaxing atmosphere
Best steak I have had in a long time, and good service Recommend as a treat for a loved one to make them feel special.
As always we all had a fantastic time..
Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea but it would have been good to have a choice of sandwich fillings e.g. Cheese (& pickle), salmon & cucumber etc!
Lovely staff. Dan on reception was so helpful. The staff in the garden room were very attentive. Food was gorgeous. Couldn't fault it.
Fantastic as usual
From the moment we walked in to the hotel we were treated like royalty. We were very well looked after by Alex (I think that was his name) throughout our meal. He gave us great suggestions when we were ordering and made us feel special on our special evening. We will be back, and will bring fiends. The food was faultless and it was great to try different things. A memorable evening, thank you.
Waiting for response from my email. As yet I haven’t even had an acknowledgement
Very limited choice for vegetarians (one option) my wife had to order three vegetable side orders to get a meal. Bill came to £95.00 which is really expensive for the quality of the food and service. You are allowed a £25 per person allowance as a dinner inclusive guest but next time we would leave the dinner "inclusive" rate and eat elsewhere. It's a real shame the restaurant falls short because the hotel and breakfast were truly amazing.
Enjoyable experience. The people next to us were offered additional sandwiches which we were not, however I asked for more and got some but would have been nice to have been offered like the others were.
Our party spent 3 hours of enjoyment while having Afternoon Champagne Tea, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, the surrounds are lovely, must book again
Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey and would thoroughly recommend
The restaurant is decorated beautifully, food was absolutely gorgeous. Staff were pleasant & attentive. Waiting time for food was just right. However some of the tables are a little to close & sometimes the waiting staff and diners struggled to get by.
Lovely setting and good food.
Service was very slow poor and unfriendly with tables seated after us then being served before us. We waited over 20 minutes for an offer of a drink. Food was lovely but it was a lottery if you were offered more sandwiches or checked if everything was ok. Sat in the corner of the garden room have a clear view of the room and despite being next to the till staff walked passed even when I tried to get their attention. At the end I was then incorrectly billed which I luckily spotted before paying the bill. We have enjoyed multiple events at Coombe Abbey including getting married there and would put this down to a bad day and whilst I would recommend Coombe abbey I would not recommend the afternoon tea.
The surroundings and service were excellent. The selection of sandwiches could have been better - ham pastrami and egg - tuna or salmon would have been a good addition and the second lot of sandwiches were fresher than the first as they were slightly dry
Patisseries were amazing
