I won’t be visiting the hotel very much as I live in the Midlands and was only down this time to see friends and family. However, you can rest assured if I come that way again I shall certainly be booking a table and wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending it to others.
We were there for a wedding tasting I was amazed at the size of the potions.
Never disappointed by Orsett Hall Hotel, one of my favourite venues for all sorts of occasions.
Excellent food and service, only comment that can be made were that the scones were on the large size, which were very filling. suggest reduce the size of the scones slightly, but increase the size of the fantastic pork and apple sausage roll.
Second time coming for afternoon tea, lovely as always
The reason for the lower score for Atmosphere was purely because we were the only two people left in the restaurant towards the end of our meal.
polite staff in nice surroundings
very good would go again
Wonderful meal service good.comunication between staff poor .i had telephoned to cancel two people and it wasn't passed on also table booked for 2.30 when arrived the garden room had been told 3 however a table was made up for us very quickly .
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Food was very nice but small. Menu stated Jersey Royal potatoes but I was not expecting them to be finely cubed. I would have preferred to have them whole. The broccoli, 3 small pieces, wasn't enough. I asked for some more and was given a mixed variety of 3 green vegetables at no extra cost which was nice but I think 3 pieces of broccoli should be increased in the future. Otherwise all OK.
Great experience, staff needs to be a little more professional.
It was a present for my mother in law and my neice they thoroughly enjoyed it, the food was plenty and tasty, the only downside is that i booked the table online and used my card me thinking that was it and payment will be taken but after they ate you requested payment and luckily they had money, i do think that system should change as it was ment to be a present and surprise u could at least offer this service online for those who want to keep it secret. Other than that brilliant
Beautiful meal in beautiful surroundings with excellent service. Would thoroughly recommend.
The two girls worked extremely hard in the evening and the next day for breakfast despite being clearly understaffed. Also the blond girl (sorry didn’t get name) was fabulous after I former stung by a wasp during dinner. I am allergic and she reacted very quickly with ice and vinegar. Luckily I had had my antihistamine so no major problem. Food was great and I loved the decor too Can’t wait to come back
Beautiful room for our afternoon tea, setting, food and service perfect!
We were a party of 19 for my daughters 21st birthday we had afternoon tea in the private bar room. Can not recommend this enough it we had an amazing time from start to finish. All the staff were so helpful and very attentive nothing was too much trouble the tea was yummy and good value for money. The bar room was great and gave us a bit of privacy from the rest of the restaurant. Thank you for making it a great afternoon.
Tea for two was given as a birthday present very enjoyable thankyou
Enjoyed our visit very much , many thanks .
Slow service, outrageous £2.50 per head charge when asked for an extra sandwich, no choice of teas and served in a metal canteen pot!! No loose leafs but tea bags isn’t assumed at afternoon tea!
Was very pleased with whole afternoon tea and will definitely be returning.
Went here for afternoon tea, good selection of cakes and teas. The sandwiches were a bit lacking. Would still return to try again. Good value for money
It would be good if the food was refillable like most afternoon teas are.
