About Gandolfi Fish
Seumas had often dreamt of opening a fish restaurant and in June 2007 that was exactly what he did. The doors of Gandolfi Fish opened to a warm welcome from Glasgow's foodies who were eager to taste the delights from this sleek new arrival to the Merchant City. Gandolfi Fish features as one of Ron Mackenna's top 25 Scottish restaurants (The Herald) and has once again made the grade and been Hitlisted by The List. Smart and comfortable, Gandolfi Fish will suit anyone who enjoys the fruits of the sea.
Excellent seafood, always cooked carefully. We often bring visitors here to taste fresh Scottish seafood and have never been disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Not cheap but not too expensive and well worth it.
Great place to eat; pleasant staff and very good value three course lunch. Relaxed atmosphere; good service.
Super food in a relaxed atmosphere in a buzzy part of Glasgow.
A more frequent change of the market menu would be very welcome. I have now eaten every dish on it at least twice
Thanks to gandolphi for allowing us in almost an hour earlier than expected, nice location and accommodation, waitress was most friendly and welcoming. Wide variety of wines on offer but a little limited, in my opinion and preference to personal taste by the glass. We came for my wife to enjoy the langoustines but have to say that the accompanying fries were a little disappointing. As for my fish and chips I would have to say that I have had better tasting f and c from my local chippy so was a little disappointed. I shared my views with, I think, the manager. When the bill arrived I was pleasantly surprised as they had forgotten to charge me for my main course. I challenged them on this oversight , even suggesting they might not have charged due to my disappointment with my meal, and was even more disappointed when the’ manager?’ said it had been an oversight but did not even bother to thank me for my honesty, very disappointing have to say. Don’t think we’ll be hurrying back again.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Also very helpful when asked about glutton free options. Food was delicious.
Beautiful food & great service.
Atmosphere was a bit quiet, however it was lunch time with only a handful of diners.
First class as usual
Great meal. Would highly recommend.
The waitress was excellent and so helpful it made the experience special ,she was attentive and nothing was too much trouble ,
Prompt and courteous service. Good variety of choice. Excellent food. Reasonably priced.
Please change the dishes on the lunch menu a bit more frequently.
Great time all round....lovely food,waiting staff & wine/beer
We shared the Barra scallop starter and then had main courses of lobster and langoustines. All dishes were perfectly cooked and exceeded our expectations. Certainly the best seafood we have had within the central belt. Service was good but not the best, although no particular faults. The layout of the restaurant is a little bit canteen style which was fine but not as private as we would have liked. We will definitely be back for the excellent quality of the food!
Plats vraiment délicieux
Expensive but food is excellent
Lovely meal -very relaxed atmosphere - will be back
Enjoyed meal. Fish well prepared. Good wine list.
My Aunt and I had a lovely lunch. The food was fresh, nicely presented and cooked to perfection. I will definitely return.
Lovely afternoon for a friend's birthday. Staff could not have been nicer, highly recommend
Great food, friendly and efficient service, market menu fantastic value. This restaurant is a decades old favourite.
