About Gandhi Restaurant
Gandhi Restaurant is Winchester's longest running Indian Restaurant. Since 1987 we have adapted to our customers' tastes and experiences to ensure we become one of the leading Indian restaurants through new benchmarks in food, ambiance and service.
Following our major new refurbishment carried out in July 2014, we have transformed the Gandhi into something a little extra special.
No matter what the occasion, we are confident that our atmosphere of relaxed elegance, exquisitely decorated interior with private dining, our charming staff and not forgetting our unique menus, will be something that needs to be experienced to be believed.
Amazing food 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A very enjoyable meal. Food and service were excellent.
Amazing food and great service! Definitely recommend.
Best curries in Winchester
Went that extra mile to accommodate my girlfriends wish of a different table upon arrival. Professional and very attentive in service delivery. Wonderful food and wine didn't have to lift a finger to pour the wine or water all done for us. well done guys we had a lovely evening. Thanks
Excellent evening, meal was lovely and the service polite and professional.
The welcome was great and the food was wonderful.
Fantastic food! Definitely recommend.
A must do visit when you are Winchester.
Maitre d very friendly, staff attentive and food delicious
Very good service and food. My only criticism would be the very fast speed of service. The main arrived within 1 minute of the starter being finished.
Always excellent food and the service is very good. Nothing is too much trouble.
We had a table booked for 5.30 when the restaurant was supposed to open. We booked early as we had a concert to get to. We were left waiting outside for more than 10 minutes while the staff inside mopped the floor and hoovered. When they finally opened, and the restaurant was completely empty, apart from one other party who hadn’t booked, there was much deliberation as to where we should all sit, which seemed laughable in an empty restaurant. Having got off to a bumpy start though, the food was brilliant and very quick which was good as we had lost some time.
The waiters hovering over our shoulders the whole time made us feel uneasy and rushed. Then our feelings were confirmed as our bill was brought out to us without us asking for it and before we'd even received our desserts.
Delicious food, good choice for vegetarians. A relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. Ideal venue for special occasions.
We love Indian food and this is the best we have ever tasted. Great value for money, a lovely experience.
Great Food & Service
We had some friends from America over, Food was good, not spectacular. Service good although we kept getting asked the same questions (for example 'would you like more drinks' or 'can we clear the table') by different waiters in the space of five minutes which distracted from our conversations. Waiters should coordinate and be more observant. Apart from that it was a nice meal.
Fabulous meal and service, even with a very busy restaurant for Father’s Day.
Really nice food, staff were lovely however the booths made me feel a bit cramped in
Always a pleasure to go to Gandhi. Ronnie is a great host, and the food and service are excellent.
As ever had a lovely time, we always feel well looked by Ronnie and his team.
Excellent food and service.
Very accommodating to special dietary requirements
Excellent venue, great food and very attentive staff.
