Had an amazing dinner last night at the Gamba. The monkfish and scallops were the best I have ever had. Service was great and all aspects of the meal fantastic.
Great value for money and amazing food
Always reliable. Great food and service
Gamba is my go to restaurant in Glasgow, never disappoints and is constantly consistent.
We often come through from Edinburgh for concerts and stay overnight. We love the food at Gamba (especially the fish soup). We hope to come through soon with friends and sample the a la carte menu.
A lovely dining experience from start to finish - the perfect beginning to our Scotland holiday.
The main fish dish was the best I've ever tasted. Fantastic.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Fantastic service and food, would definitely visit again.
The dessert menu includes what is described as 'Wild honey and ginger cheesecake'. What my guest and I received was a dessert in a glass which was somewhere between a sundae and a trifle and bore no relation to a cheesecake. Our complaint was laughed off as a 'deconstructed cheesecake'. I do not see the joke. You really should describe this item more accurately on your menu. It was a pity this followed two very good courses and is reflected in the ratings.
Outstanding food and fabulous service.
Ordered white wine by pointing to the Chablis on the wine menu, given wrong bottle, no apologies, lady opened the correct wine, with a loud bang with the bottom of the bottle hiring the cooler, made me jump as I was concentrating on the menu, again no apologies, another lady service staff was adjusting the tongue of her lace up shoes, heel of foot out foot in, both hands in and out of shoe, did not wash her hands before handling plates or food as she continues in the dining room as if nothing had happened. Male service staff licked fingers to separate the paper placing mats before placing these on the tables after the previous diners have left. Starters of oysters and shrimp cocktail was only so so, oyster shell pieces in oysters, not the freshest either, too much cocktail sauce, can only taste the sauce and not the shrimps, with the only saving grace being the lobster thermidor
First visit and I was very impressed, the starters (shellfish cocktail and fish soup) were particularly delicious and so was the warm cherry bakewell dessert. Best dessert I’ve had in a long time. Prices are high end so I wouldn’t be able to come back here as often as I’d like. Service was just right in terms of attentiveness and we were never rushed at any point. Loads of atmosphere, especially as you set the lighting nice and low for dinner which many places fail to do.
Food was wonderful.
Beautiful lunch and a nice bottle of wine too What’s not to like
Food and service excellent. Drink pricey
Gamba was exceptional once again, came here before Westlife concert. Everything was excellent food, service, ambience. Also a nice surprise to see Gregor Munn back in his suit at Gamba. Well done to all
lovely ingredients cooked with a light touch.
What a pleasant surprise. Our first time and evening in Glasgow and we discovered Gamba. Everything was great and we enjoyed your hospitality as well.
Another gorgeous meal in Gamba, can’t wait till the next one
We had a really nice meal. Will return when back in Glasgow
One of the best restaurants in Scotland.
Wonderful evening, halibut was delicious!
Simply the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in Glasgow. A real first class experience and we can’t wait to come back.
