About Ryan's & FXBUCKLEY Steakhouse Parkgate Street
Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.

Amazing meal and great service.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner (Christmas night out from work) there last Wednesday - food really lovely, everyone very happy so thank you. Lovely atmosphere in bar downstairs and restaurant. We will be back.
This was the first time we'd eaten here and it was amazing from start to finish. The staff were amazing and really should be complemented on their hard work and always been available to assist. Thank you and we'll be back soon.
No high chair or activity for kids or baby bowls
The food was amazing but I was put off by the wine list. We were looking at the red wine selection and the price points were very high. There weren't enough options at different price points. You could be offering carafes or house wines. Nothing lower than 30 euros and very few options in 30 euro range even. Its very pricey for a restaurant that doesn't have a Michelin star.
If you're going to rush guests out at the end of the meal, make the service much faster during the meal. Service was too slow to be rushed at the end. And keep the host of the table discreetly apprised of the timings from start to finish, rather than announcing to all the host's guests that they have to hurry up at the end. Also, I understand that regulars must get the best tables, and new visitors get the worst ones, but I was effectively sitting in the servers' prep station. A door there would help.
3rd visit, Absolutely superb as always!!!!!
Great as always
Thank you for a lovely evening meal.hope to be back soon.
Everyone enjoyed food and drinks. Service great.
Took my reservation on short notice. Very friendly staff and delicious food.
Great service and good food, very accommodating
Brilliant food great service and perfect atmosphere
Fantastic as usual ! Incredible service and food perfectly baked ! The only thing is the mash potatoes was terrible ... very dry and not tasty
Couldn't fault anything at all. I thought the presentation of the steak was a bit lacking on the white plate on its on. I appreciate that could be the intention however my personal preference would be for a more considered presentation. I thought the steak looked lost on the large white plate. Taste was excellent, service was just a good. I can't remember the name of the guy looking after us on Saturday night, he was well built and foreign. He was excellent throughout.
Great food, had the early bird and it was excellent value. Highly recommend
Great food and service but extremely noisy! Impossible to hold a conversation at times. Would be okay if you are dining alone.
Service and food where both flawless
Great meal, thanks!
To satisfy 9 people is a considerable achievement. I know this because I checked. The group is from all over the country so the venue is also perfect. Looking forward to our third visit. NC.
great spot,lovely staff,best steak in dublin.Be back again soon.cheers
Steak wasnt cooked as requested, had to be sent back which resulted in me eating after my guests had finished their meals. The meat was very fatty. Waitress was very pushy with the wines and extras. Trying to delay us ordering before 6pm so we could avail of the early bird menu which I had to ask for, we arrived ahead of our booking time of 6 pm at 5.45. Won't be back in a hurry very overpriced what you get especially the glasses of wine. They are the dearest I have seen anywhere in the city.
Visited on the 18th October with friends, thought the steaks were exceptional, had a great atmosphere and we’re well looked after by the lady from Transylvania, thanks for a fabulous eavening
My husband and I eat in the bar at Ryan's on a regular basis and always enjoy it, The restaurant not so much, we were a party of 5 adults, eating at 6.30pm - when we arrived we were all handed the a la carte menu, I had to ask for the early bird and was given it reluctantly. I thought it bad form. Food is great quality, everyone enjoyed it, but when you are charged an extra €4 for a baked potato when everyone at the table is eating starters, mains, desserts, I think it is a bit tight. A 12.5% service charge is added automatically, which wasn't deserved after the attitude we received for asking for the early bird. Think we'll stick to the bar !!
