About Ryan's & FXBUCKLEY Steakhouse Parkgate Street
Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.
Me costó encontrar la direccion.
Service and food was excellent. Staff could not have been more helpful. Will definitely be back soon.
Great place, food was fantastic and superb staff
A wonderful evening in a cosy restaurant. Went for the early bird which was great food and a great price. Will definitely visit again
Lovely evening, great food, great service. Had the early bird. Nothing bad to say about it. Really good value.
Food was lovely. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The only downside was children in the restaurant making a lot of noise, which someone detracts if your intention is to have a quiet meal and a drink - I would recommend eating later in the evening to avoid the same problem as we had, unfortunately we had tickets for later in the evening so had no choice but to eat early
My favorite Steakhouse in Dublin
Food is amazing as always
Always amazing. Not only the steaks. Sides are always so good. The chicken wings to start are delicious. And the creme brulee is the best i have ever had. Staff are extremely warm and accomadating.
Lovely food and friendly staff, would highly recommend
Beef and Guineas pie was very dry. My friend ordered steak for 28 euro and it came plain on the plate with a side of mash, no veg, no sauce. For those prices that's very disappointing. I wouldn't be rushing back on that basis.
Was called to check if i was coming that afternoon and told my reservation was 7.30. Told person that it was 6.30 but my reservation was definately 6.30. Other then that misunderstandind enjoyed experience.
small but nice.
Steak was incredible, will definitely be back. Our server recommend a red wine which was also very good. Looking forward to my next visit already !
My best Steak and Cesar Salad ever!
Our last meal in Dublin and a great choice, early special was a great deal and we'd definitely come back again.
As far as steak goes I haven't been anywhere better and as for an explanation of each cut a board was presented to our company to explain and choose excellent.
Highly recommend here for food really enjoyed it and service was so good Tks again
Wine was a little overpriced, but the food was excellent value on the early bird menu, and was of the highest quality. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient without being intrusive
We arrived punctually at 7pm only to be told that our table was not ready we were advised to wait in the pub downstairs for our table to be ready. After about 15 minutes we found ourselves seated and menus in our hands. As in normal circumstances with group bookings, in our case there was just 6 of us, there seemed to be no one person of waiting staff tasked with being in charge. The welcome seemed a little stilted and there was none of the usual niceties or rituals that comes hand in hand with truly excellent hosting. I had deviled kidneys to start and they were cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. They certainly did whet the appetite for things to come. However if the name of the game is suspense building then they succeeded in this. In what felt the gap between successive Star Wars movies we eventually got our mains. I can only comment on what I had, which was the Sirloin steak. It was a nice fat free cut and was perfectly fine. It was well rested and cooked to order perfectly. But for a 35 euro cut of meat it did not exceed expectations as I had anticipated. All that accompanied the dish was what I would call a "sad ramekin" of Bearnaise sauce with a side dish of "just about" cooked fries that seemed to be tossed lifelessly into a bowl. The labour of love and opulence that are Tom Kerridge's thrice cooked chips they were not sadly. As we got the menus for dessert we were "reminded" in no uncertain terms by a waitress that they needed the table for other bookings. At this I decided in the interests of expediency a macchiato might be the best way to finish proceedings. After another suspenseful couple of minutes I was served this along with the other desserts. We hastily wolfed down our food in case we were once again chided for delaying proceedings and we paid our bill leaving a half empty restaurant in our wake. Overall perfectly fine eatery for meat lovers that don't want a lot else, but hosting and welcome on this occasion was disappointing especially with a 40 euro service charge for the pleasure of handling our group of 6.
Steaks delicious as always the chips could be better they were a bit soggy.
We was staying in Dublin for the weekend. We wanted a great place to go and get steak and we certainly did. We was right in the centre of Dublin but they other restaurants was fully booked. However, walking down to Parkgate was definitely worth the wait. Great food very quick service and friendly atmosphere. Loved there special mix of salt and pepper and a lot of other spices to top the steak. It was so good I wanted to steal the shaker Fab service. Thanks for a lovely meal.
Great steaks, service and atmosphere.
Waiter was quite rude, we waited for desert for 20 minutes and before we were finished he came over with the bill and told us he needed the table now.
Dining area compact but cosy would definitely visit again.
