About Ryan's & FXBUCKLEY Steakhouse Parkgate Street
Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.
Just Brilliant. What a Steak, Great service & reasonable value. Thanks
Highly recommend the steaks Thoroughly enjoyed our meal service excellent We will return
Was about to send an email to FXBuckley's at Ryan's of Parkgate St to thank them for a wonderful family Sunday Roast. My Yorkshire Mother in Law paised the roast and more importantly the Yorkshire Puds..high praise indeed. Service was attentive and pleasant. We all enjoyed the food the venue and the service
Have been several times, always very good food and service.
I ate here with my parents and aunt on Saturday evening. Excellent steak and fish, delicious scallops and chowder to start. Everyone was happy with their meal in a very pleasant atmosphere.
Had a large party dinner at Ryan's & FXBUCKLEY Steakhouse. They were wonderful about accommodating us and making everything go smoothly. Great time and food.
Excellent T bone steak - i hadn't eaten one in years and now i wonder why ?
we arrived at 21.30 for our booked table, restaurant was busy so was asked to go downstairs for a drink until table was ready, this was fine we waited about 15-20 mins before we were seated at the table. We then ordered and had our starters. We got our main course at about 22:30, this was fine with us , no complaints about the food but we were now the only customers in the restaurant and we could easily hear everything being said in the kitchen. We were there to have a meal, not listen to that. During our main course we were asked do we know if we will be having coffee for afters and we could also hear that the chef had left. During the main course we were also asked if we wanted anything else as the kitchen was closing. We could also hear a conversation about bins. Not very professional. We felt like we were being rushed, there was tables being cleaned around us.I ordered desert before my partner was finished her main course. We could then hear from the kitchen did anyone know how to make the creme brûlée that I ordered. My partner then ended up asking to take her main course home as she felt uncomfortable and like we were being rushed. She ate it out of a container at home. We ended up leaving at 11 despite the booking saying it was from 9.30 - 11.30 we just felt uncomfortable and got the impression staff wanted us to finish up quickly. For an expensive restaurant the atmosphere we experienced was more comparable to a fast food take away. Also why is our visit time shown as 22:15? We were there at 21.20 for a 21.30 booked table
Lovely meal and great service
All around the meal was excellent. Sunday roasts were excellent although maybe the portion size was a little big for the two ladies that were with me! I ordered the steak off the set menu (It was excellent) but it could have been served with greens as well as the mash. Thought the 6€ sub on it was a bit much.
Delicious food, lovely spot and great service.
This was the second time I have visited this restaurant and again the experience did not disappoint. The lady who greeted my party was polite and knowledge about all items on the menu and also advised on how each cut of meat should be cooked/served.
Always a great steak, guaranteed. Side dishes and desserts always a winner as well. Our favourite steak house!
Fabulous food and service. Definitely will return .
Everything was fantastic
Had the porterhouse Unreal plate of food Beautiful wine and the steak was amazing
Excellent food and service. Will be back :)
Great steaks side salad was a bit bland dressing wise. Maitre de a bit pushy looking to order extras or a full bottle of wine rather than the glass we wanted. Noticed it previous time i was there before christmas. Will prob just eat downstairs in future
Fantastic food and service in the restaurant and the Bar is first class.
Fabulous Steak ... best in town !
Really gorgeous setting, steaks quite expensive but prime quality meat
Our visit was brilliant, I brought my boyfriend for his birthday and it was so relaxed and quiet! The staff even discreetly decorated his desert with happy birthday and stuck a candle in it and sang happy birthday! Would highly recommend.
Very nice food, service was excellent. Will defo be back.
The hostess/waitress who helped us was so great and friendly. Such great value for food and wine. 5 stars
Great night as always. Fast becoming my favourite restaurant in Dublin.
