Housed in the former Greta Point tavern building that was famously moved to its current site by barge in 12 pieces earlier this century, Foxglove Bar & Kitchen opened June 2010 in the heart of Wellington’s Queens Wharf precinct.
The three bars within Foxglove have their own unique personalities, adorned with a touch of 1940’s vintage glamour and coupled with sweeping harbour views from every vantage point.
The team had a great lunch really enjoyed the atmosphere food service and staff were awesome thanks
Everything was awesome, however it was very hard to hear one another talking as it was extremely busy when we were there.
Really wonderful staff who were very helpful and gracious. Love the relaxed feeling and the food was wonderful. Brisket cheeseburger sliders were absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for hosting us!
We had a great night at Foxglove. The service was professional, selection of beverages was generous and the food was honest and tasty with good size servings.
Excellent food, friendly staff, beautiful view
We had our work Christmas dinner here - excellent venue - we were in an alcove away from other patrons. Food was amazing, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
Awesome for functions
Nice relaxed atmosphere, attentive wait staff, all good
The hummus was insanely good and our waitress was lovely :)
Had a great night
We recently had a work function at Foxtail Bar. The space was perfect, great atmosphere and set up. David was great to work with in planning this event, very responsive and accurate. The staff on the night were fantastic, very friendly, organized and efficient. Thanks for a great night team!
Hi team, Had the steak which was cooked to my liking. However it would have been really nice to have some lovely fresh vegetables to go with my steak and chips ($35). Liked the atmosphere. Looking over the water is always great and the service was fine.
We had a lovely time, great atmosphere, staff were friendly and food and drinks were great.
Service was great and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!
Very friendly staff, prompt response when needed to my enquiry. Food absolutely to die for. Could not have picked a better burger, compliments to the chef what a great job having that many to do. Service a little slow to get the burger, but hey I went out for dinner, I didn't have to make it, I enjoyed my dry rose and the fact that my barman lit a candle. I really do not know why some people complain. I loved my experience high praise where due.
Great WOAP burger but most drink and food orders were 'self service.
Service was amazing, food was good although highly priced for what it was. Recommend the mac n cheese balls!
Staff were lovely, so accommodating and helpful. It was very busy due to the WOAP festival and so took a while for the waitress to take our drinks order and bring water to the table so the first drinks were on the house. The WOAP burger was hands down the best one I’ve tried, absolutely loved it. I wish it was a staple part of the menu. Atmosphere was great on a Friday night, lots of people in the bar area with a separate area for the diners/restaurant. Only criticism would be, we walked in on a Friday night, the queues for the bar were massive and as we had a table booked, we didn’t want to queue for a drink, we just wanted to be shown our table. There was no one front of house to welcome us or help us with this so we waited ten minutes and then had to wander upstairs where it was less busy to find a member of staff to show us to our table. Would have been great if there was a front of house to welcome diners or a sign guiding us to the restaurant area so we could go to the right place. Other than that, absolutely fantastic! Our first time dining at Foxglove and we will definitely be going back.
My friend was happy with wellington on a plate. I ordered the cauliflower steak and was given a head of cauliflower for $26 . I wont to be back I went to sals when my friend was finshed . Liars and thief s is what I think of yous
Burgers were delicious and good value. The wait time was advised to be around 20 minutes but ended up being 45 mins, however this wasn't a problem for us and there were tons of burgers coming out. Staff were friendly and place was busy without being too noisy so there was a good atmosphere. Wish you were open at lunch times!
One entree course had to be sent back as it was inedible, while this was rectified by a drink and a side of vegetables I was willing to let it go. The waitress was also fantastic, I did tip her as she did everything she could for my group. We then waited almost an hour and a half for the mains, the fillet steaks, three were over cooked and very tough, not what I would expect from a fillet steak. This is a huge disappointment for me as I had been raving to all of my friends, how last time I went to the Foxglove it was the best steak I’d had in Wellington. To be blunt and my apologies the Foxglove has gone from hero to zero and I will not be returning anytime soon, or recommending you as a venue.
Great woap burger
Lovely evening, great wine recommendations and food!
Was left waiting for a long time to be seen when I arrived (with a reservation). Burger Wellington had so much promise and would have been a favourite but everything was cold - potatoes, yorkshire pudding, beef. I really, really wanted to rate this higher. We weren't even asked how the food was part way through the meal (only one waitress appeared to be on) so we couldn't mention the temperature (or lack of). The potatoes were supposed to be triple cooked so we expected really crispy roasties. Nowhere near. Disappointing
