Housed in the former Greta Point tavern building that was famously moved to its current site by barge in 12 pieces earlier this century, Foxglove Bar & Kitchen opened June 2010 in the heart of Wellington’s Queens Wharf precinct.
The owners have designed a series of smaller spaces within this large building, bringing a sense of intimacy to the different lounge areas. The three bars within Foxglove have their own unique personalities, adorned with a touch of 1940’s vintage glamour and coupled with sweeping harbour views from every vantage point.
Loved my tuna tapas!
Cheers to our gorgeous Italian waitress.
Delicious food and Mojitos (just a bit too much ice) ! Great service
Why waste money at Logan Brown when Foxglove is that much better and you can still afford a taxi home.
Unfortunately my two friends and I booked dinner for my 50th birthday the same night as there was a large dinner party booked as well. I was told about this but had no idea how small the restaurant was and we actually struggled to hear each other. The service was great and the food was beautiful but it was slightly overshadowed by the fact we were yelling to each other
Great food and service!
The team were great, and very accommodating of allergies. Food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Will definitely return and recommend to friends!
It would help if there was felt glued to the bottoms of the chair legs, it can be very noisy when people are shuffling around on their chairs. Food was fabulous.
Thank-you for the lovely meals. We throughly enjoyed it. Great service.
One of the best steaks ever. The desserts were absolutely delicious! Would have been a bonus if we had some bread before the main but other than that, it was perfect! Wonderful view too! Would definitely dine here again!
Food was great, such a good location and nice service. Thanks for having us :)
Presentation and food flavour was good.
Went here for lunch on a Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to make it a special occasion for her. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, so glad I chose this restaurant! Can't rate highly enough!
Thanks fot an enjoyable evening. The service and food were great and Michaela did an awesome job. We had a big rowdy party of 17 for NYE and it was the best place to see in the new year😀
We were told downstairs that there was a possibility of getting platters for our group. However after we moved upstairs we were flatly told no way they were available before 3pm. Given that we would have ordered two or three of them I found this disappointing as the lunch menu was limited. Otherwise a pleasant afternoon.
been here a few times, the dining room is always quite noisy and hard to have a conversation. for us its the olny downside
Fabulous food as ever. Smoked Beef Rib was one of the highlights of dining out this year. Extremely good entrees as well. Only reservation was the price of the beer-12 dollars per glass. Seemed a little excessive however the location, service and food were 5 STAR so we till left happy. A more reasonable price on the beer would definitely see us coming back.
Wonderful service. Was a bit slow with serving me a drink I had paid for and they made up for it with refunding me the money even without asking or any expectation
We had a lovely Christmas lunch at Foxglove.
Everything was excellent, especially the service from our drinks and food waiter/waitress. Really enjoyed our meals, oysters were delicious, steak beautifully cooked. The atmosphere was great and not too noisy. I loved how there was table privacy even though it seemed open. I can't understand why I didn't make the effort to come here sooner. Just one small point - please fix the blowers in the bathrooms. I was talking to someone in the bathroom and they had been to Foxglove before and noticed that the blowers were broken then??!!
We really enjoyed our team lunch here, the food was good - nice and quick without rushing, and good service, regularly checking on the table and offering items. We did feel that the atmosphere was a bit lacking, it felt cold in the restaurant, and as it was a quieter day, not many others around. This can be good if you want a quiet place for lunch, but was a bit too quiet for us.
Our fries were cold when food came out.
Great service, Great food
