Housed in the former Greta Point tavern building that was famously moved to its current site by barge in 12 pieces earlier this century, Foxglove Bar & Kitchen opened June 2010 in the heart of Wellington’s Queens Wharf precinct.
The three bars within Foxglove have their own unique personalities, adorned with a touch of 1940’s vintage glamour and coupled with sweeping harbour views from every vantage point.
Extremely pleasant lunch which was enjoyed by all 13 of us , My wife particularly loved herpoached fish i the cream sauce . Well done and thanks . Derek Whitwam President Russian Convoy Club of New Zealand (www.russianconvoyclub.org.nz)
Very nice service and restaurant both meals good the burger wasn’t a preference but everything else was so good it’s hard to be disappointed
We had a team lunch late in 2020 and the lunch menu had more choices which was really good.
It was very noisy in the restaurant
Beef short rib was amazing! Sides are a little expensive but the food was great. Service was really good.
The staff at Foxglove were amazing for our event! Food was fantastic! Definitely would recommend!
Loved the oysters!!!
I want to say a huge thank you to Foxglove staff for our recent function. I can't fault the service, venue and staff! A special thank you to David, who was so helpful and professional.
It gets loud with the DJ upstairs.
We had a lovely evening, the food was very good as was the service. Our waitress was very attentive. thanks Linda
Although delicious the salted caramel tart was neither salted nor caramel. And the honeycomb wasn't honeycomb, more like a cracker.
We booked a table in your restaurant, but found it hard to have a conversation as the noise from the bar was extremely disruptive. As such, the atmosphere of an enjoyable evening mal was ruined. It felt like we were eating in a bar rather than a restaurant. Very disappointed
Lovely friendly staff. The food was amazing
Great meal great location. But please have the correct glasses for Stella Artois Cheers
Would love to see a few vegetarian or vegan options on the small plates/ snacks menu. We have a few vegetarians in our team and it would be nice to have something other than chips or bread. Other than that, really enjoyed bringing our team here.
A wonderful lunch at Foxglove with very friendly staff looking after us. Thanks you.
Yeah it was good.
This venue is nice but not the greatest space for larger groups or for groups that want to be social. It feels quite clustered/tight (not easy to move and mingle) and dark inside.
Great place. Good variety of food
Salad was orded and was wilted and unediable. Streak knives should be given if streak is ordered. I probably wont come back.
The evening we dined here there was an extremely loud group beside us but when I requested to be moved to a quieter area of the restaurant there was no hesitation and we had a very enjoyable evening and lovey food. The staff and ? owner acknowledged my husbands birthday. Great place to dine highly recommended dining here
We are so happy we chose to have our elopement celebration at Foxglove. Getting everything ready for the big day was straight forward and the night went seamlessly. I can't say much for the food as I didn't even get to eat any - which is saying something in itself as the guests quickly demolished it all! Our guests have commented on how excellent the bar service was and how they went out of their way to cater for everyone's needs. I was also impressed with how helpful they were with various requests, from storing outfit changes and all of our things overnight, and getting the room set up how we wanted too.
Would recommend to my friends and acquaintances
Very nice food and hospitality was great. Disappointed in the menu as it was reduced menu that day but was never advised when booking nor was it changed on their website. Unfortunately we only had 3 options for mains.
