About Food Exchange
An international buffet restaurant serving authentic South East Asian cuisine in an open kitchen concept. Join us over the weekend for brunch and a dip in our infinity pool.
Every food item was good and appetizing. Only the roast pork and roast chicken could have been better as the meat was a little tough.
1)dining plc too dark esp after swimming pool has closed - shd light up slightly at poolside 2)beef roast is overdone and shd cut abroad slice when served inside of thick small slice 3)ham - slightly over bale.. shd cut bigger slice like half instead of qtr . 4) satay hard when cold - prob meat too small piece
The food selection and taste wasn’t as good as when I went a few months back . I hope it picks up , as I do like going there .
Nice environment and friendly, pleasant service staff. Food generally is quite good. A serving of Salmon or tuna sashimi would be nice instead of just sushi.
Fe Tamil (I think that is his name, based on the receipt) service was good and accommodating
Good buffet and good atmosphere!
Cooked food was decent but crayfish not very fresh. Some of the nonya kuehs are so hard.
Food was mediocre. If its priced in $30 range, its acceptable. At $60 for oyster buffet , not really of value.
Laksa noodles overcooked. Roast pork skin not crispy. All other food are above average. Spread is decent, and not overwhelming, so you don't get a sense that you are paying a lot more for too much variety you won't get to try.
The food was so-so but what really surprised me was that there were so few dessert options. Certainly not one of my favorites.
Seafood tastes bland - crab/oysters (soaked in water). Indian cuisine was delicious. Satay was well marinated and tender. Chinese food was average.
Satay is nice. Roast pork has a bit of pork taste. Has good variety of food.
Not enough kins of food.
Free parking from 6pm to 10pm only.
Food quality and variety way below the standard expected of any major 4* hotel. There are many hotels which charge less for better quality cooking and food. Need significant improvement. Hire some good chef and buy some quality ingredients
The selection and spread of food is getting lower and lower each time I visit Food Exchange for their buffet. Previously there was a small selection of raw salmon, now there is none. The dessert spread has diminished too. If it continues, other hotel buffets down the road will start to win over customers
Except for the fresh seafood section. The rest of the food is are cold and not fresh.
Lousy service and lousy food. If the management wants to implement new dishes, please consider is the team able to manage, enough manpower........ Very disappointed for the steam seafood.
To extend the dinner free parking period from 10pm to 10.30pm. As group dining usually finished at 10 by the time we arrived at the carpark it 10.15.
Service was attentive and kudos to Jack who made extra effort. Dessert spread could be expanded for a weekend buffet.
Food range very limited n taste is mediocre.
We celebrating a BD for our friend , Love the ambient, Food was great Service was topnotch especially Mr.Tamil, He made us a wonderful memorable here. Definitely will recommend and be back again.
Notwithstanding that it was an oyster and seafood buffet, the selection was extremely limited. The oysters ran out at 8.15pm and were not replenished. There was only one type of sashimi available, ie salmon. The restaurant staff did not give thought to what crockery and cutlery were needed for the different stations. Eg. (1) Dinner plates were placed at the ice cream station. There were no bowls and no dessert spoons at the ice cream station. No action was taken even after my feedback. (2) No saucers were provided at the oyster and seafood station, even though there were different sauces and lemon slices provided. (3) No saucers were provided at the sashimi station for the wasabi and light sauce. The service staff took more than 30 minutes to refill our glasses of water. The staff had to be alerted to the used dishes on the table and to be requested to clear them. This buffet had the smallest selection of desserts I have ever seen. There were only 3-4 types of cake and a bread pudding in the fridge. I will not go back to this restaurant.
Food and service was good. We will definitely come again!
