About Food Exchange
An international buffet restaurant serving authentic South East Asian cuisine in an open kitchen concept. Join us over the weekend for brunch and a dip in our infinity pool.
I was a little disappointed with the service on that day. Lunch spread not much varietie. And I remember the free flow wine was abt $22++ but now it become $30++/ $60++. Wanted to enjoy the free flow. No salmon during lunch also.
Not a huge lunch buffet on weekdays but still an adequate selection with good quality ingredients. Great value and ambience :)
Overall we like the restaurant and would recommend to others.
1. The food is really just mediocre, some over cooked and not really fresh. Local delights are all badly done, like lasak base is terrible. BKT is not nice too. The fried Kway Tiao looks like it's been murdeted many times and dry. 2. The crab legs are not good too, some of the oysters are covered with sharp shells(maybe the shucking process), no description on the greeny shot glass and whole salmon so at first I thought is for deco! 3. The lamb leg is not done well, the mac n cheese tasted like baked eggs. 4. Some Supply of food starting to stop at around 8pm, so customers will only get to eat what's left. Honestly it's quite a letdown, heard this buffet over the radio and decided to give it a try. But all I can say is only the service and ambience is commentable.
With the 50% discount after 9pm we had a great experience
Enjoyed buffet very much. A tad disappointed no soba or udon and popiah station has no staff. The Indian food section was not popular. Oysters were fresh and good. Tammil I think the manager attended to us we'll and waitress was always on hand to clear table, etc..
Came here with a group of friends for some celebration on a weekday night. The whole restaurant was rather empty. We arrived at 6pm and the food was barely hot (the hot plate was heating up I guess, and not ready yet?). Selections of food was really pathetic. The only fruit available was watermelon. Dessert was scanty. I’ve never seen so few selections in a dessert station in a buffet. The savoury selections were nothing to brave about - worse Indian rojak I’ve tasted as it is practically just a ball of flour and nothing else. Service was attentive - because we were the only group throughout the night? I hope the management will look into this asap. Really disappointed.
good value for the price !!
Good spread. Food quality is good.
Nice and cosy restaurant for friends and family get together session. Variety of food for different taste.
Service is slow. Difficult to get waiters/ waitress to clear the plates even though there is hardly any crowd. In fact the waiter/ waitress is always busy to clear tables for the guest that had left & did not pay attention to the guest that are still around. Some of the food was not replenish for quite some time.
Hie i had a great experience at food exchange. I.would like to compliment Mr Inthiraraj Balan as an extraordinary service provider
Reasonable range of food but varieties are somewhat limited.
Value for money with lots of fresh seafood and variety!
I really have no comments and feedback . Overall is perfect ! Thank you so much and I really enjoy the foods so so so much and is worth it .
My family and I were there for Father's Day lunch and we were really disappointed that no one on the staff wished him a Happy Father's Day despite my prompting. Two members of their service staff were attentive and filled our water glasses with a return-smile. On payment, their staff insisted that I was wrong about a UOB promotion terms without checking the details despite us informing him that we had viewed the terms on their website. I had to look it up and showed him the conditions of the promotion. I was surprised that service staff would immediately dismiss a customer without even checking. Rather disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are celebrating an event or occasion.
Really good food, great service, the manager is really helpful
A nice place perfect for family gathering. Very friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Very nice ambience with scrumptious food. Wide rant of variety to choose from.
mediocre food. not promptly replenished. too cramp in between the food stations. service from the oyster omelette guy on sat is terrible!
Today is my 6th visit to The Food Exchange and it's the most disappointing one. First of all, I discovered that the menu is getting lesser and lesser and the variety doesn't vary very much on my each visit. Food is either too salty or too sweet. The bak kut teh soup is like salt water and the chicken rendang sauce is too sweet. Salmon sushi supply was limited and guests were left waiting and waiting for refill but told that that's all for the day. And that was only 1pm. I didn't have much to eat cos I don't eat lamp which was meat on the wagon yesterday. Jasmine white rice was cold and hard. Char kway teow was oily and with no ingredients on it. Just bean sprouts. The good thing is I am an Accor member and I only pay for 1 guest. I don't think I will pay $49.00 to eat at Food Exchange. I was quite embarrassed to bring my friend here cos the food is really not up to standard for a 4 star accor hotel. The food at Novotel Liang Court is better and they have the durian pengket. I also noticed that the restaurant was only filled with less than 10 tables of diners and it's a Friday..... Already the location is out of the way for people who doesn't drive. I really hope to see a vast improvement to the variety, standard and quality of the food the next time I visit. I hope....
Was there for the first time and pleased with the overall experience.
Overall I'm satisfied with the services.
The spread was really good. There was a lot of variety of food to choose from.
