An international buffet restaurant serving authentic South East Asian cuisine in an open kitchen concept. Join us over the weekend for brunch and a dip in our infinity pool.
Mr Deep made the experience awesome, we are thankful and definitely will return again.
Good range of food with different cuisines. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
Seafood spread could be better and the cakes & fruits could be placed in a more presentable manner instead of inside the refrigerator.
We had lunch for my hubby birthday. Very delicious foods. Nive view. Service also nice well. Thanks
Servers could be a tad more friendlier to local diners. A little more smile on the face can give a better experience.
Could improve on the roast beef. It is quite tough. The oysters were good but the snow crab tends to be salty.
While I certainly did not expect supreme quality at the prices we were paying, I was sorely disappointed with my experience. On arrival, we had a line at the host stand with no one there. There were servers moving around but they seemed to only know how to clear plates and basically ignored the line. When it got to our turn, we were pointed in the general direction into the dining room but no one followed us, so we just found out own table. On the food selection, the Indian curries looked dark and unappetising with no lighting on the curries. One of the curries looked a little coagulated after sitting out a while. I had two slices of roast beef and it had no fat or texture whatsoever, sitting cold with no heat lamps. Your pork knuckle was tasteless, with the skin insufficiently rendered hence it was pale. The pork was extremely tough. The three times I approached the two carving stations and the roast duck/pork stations, they were empty and I had to summon for assistance. The front of house staff strength was hardly sufficient for a set-up that requires live carving / chopping/ prep eg laksa. Containers of fruit lay messily in the fridges. One of them contained two cubes of watermelon sitting in a pool of juice since the first time I saw it at 1pm. The orange sweet potato was undercooked and was actually hard. Besides the raw food bar which looked fresh, the buffet was sad, stale, poorly lit and poorly staffed. We could not get anyone's attention to pay and got up to approach the host stand to redeem our vouchers. The staff scuttled away saying that only the manager could redeem. I stood waiting for a good 3 Min before a suited manager appears. He rushes over and with no apology for the wait, proceeds to help redeem my vouchers. He hardly acknowledged the Indian family waiting behind me. Before we left, staff member Sugu informed us that we could obtain carpark coupons at the concierge. We joked that if concierge didn't provide them, we would quote Sugu. To our dismay, the concierge from Novotel rejected providing us any coupons. We figured Sugu might have referred to concierge at Mercure side who then told us to approach the bellman. The bellman (with a servicestar batch no less) gestured for us to wait as he would check. We waited about 2.5 min before another gentleman appeared to explain the situation. We were made to feel like it was our fault for imposing and i didn't feel that the gentleman sympathised with our predicament of being told to redeem parking coupons which we weren't entitled to. For a simple SOP, we found the bouncing to and fro quite unnecessary. Your hotel is gorgeous but the food exchange was a disappointment for a celebration with my family for father's Day.
No complimentary parking was given as the staff told me it’s free before 2.30pm. I came in at 12.10pm and left at 2.20pm and was charged $3.21 for both my and my guest.
Food was cold and taste so so. There weren’t many variants of food. Only atmosphere was nice. Personally, i won’t make a trip down again.
The crab legs were too salty, Crab legs item was not refilled Ice cream was melting even before it reaches my table
We were quite disappointed with the quality of food and service for the dinner buffet.
One of the service staff, Tamil provides excellent service, attentive to the customer needs. Pertaining to the food, there should have more choices on the food especially the dessert & ice cream
No sashimi on a Saturday night, with the price we are paying per adult, you can get better buffet spread elsewhere. a lot of improvement required. Naan is so dry and hard. Mushroom soup tasted burnt and they changed the whole pot after I told them. Especially hot food is very limited choices.
great place to gather friends
A la carte service is Super slow Seems like buffet is the only option
Good service from the wait staff. Food quality is fine except that the popular items are not replenished often enough, or not at all in the case of the black pepper crabs that evening. Variety-wise, it is not as good as other buffet restaurants in the same price range.
We had baked oysters for lunch. They were delicious. The salad was fresh and I liked it.
The restaurant ambiance is very bright and pleasant. The food choices could have been better. The laksa gravy is too diluted and lack the “oopmh” factor. The selections of food is limited. Most of the meats are too dry and a little chewy. Food wise is quite disappointing.
I enjoy dining at Food Exchange. The staff is friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is cool and relaxing. The food is varied. I get to eat wholemeal bread here. The price is right. It is really a relaxing moment sitting there looking through the glass pane to see the peaceful surrounding.
For a Mother’s Day buffet dinner, spread was disappointingly. Food quality and variety is only soso and it does not match the menu online. Staff seems blur and Chef seems unfriendly
Wide variety and excellent service
Food is great and tasty. With the Wed promotion, it's really value for money. Staff is friendly and attentive. Ambience is really great.
The salad bar serves a variety of salad which I enjoy eating. It is healthy too.
The high chairs for toddlers got no seatbelt and my twins kept climbing out from the high chair so we can’t enjoy our Easter Sunday meal in peace.
Food Exchange served healthy food.
