Amazing food, great service.
We were a party of 9 including one child and had a most lovely experience sharing this meal !
I had booked in advance and used my birthday voucher for my visit with my boyfriend, but we were given a table closest to the door where it was so cold we both had to put our jackets on to feel comfortable. The table was also out the way and made us feel isolated. After telling staff (who were helpful and lovely) they explained that the boiler broke and they could provide a small portable heater which was good but it only made me feel warm and my boyfriend was still cold from being next to the door. I feel upon arrival this should of been explained to us and we could of cancelled or rearranged because although the food and service was great, we just felt uncomfortable and wanted to be somewhere warm. I feel it was a wasted use of my birthday voucher which is upsetting. I’d of loved to have used it and to have been seated in the busier area on a day where the boiler wasn’t broken. Staff and food were great. We left a little disappointed, and it made my parents who got me the voucher for my birthday feeling a little embarrassed and disappointed, also, as they LOVE five March.
Really great food and cocktails
This is our second visit been in for lunch just the two of this and yesterday’s trip was with old friends who are foodies. They raved about the food which we all thought was brilliant the simple dishes had a complexity of taste and flavour and the rib eye and the confit chicken packed a real punch. Like the last time all the servers were great engaged with customers which is great to get. Cocktails were amazing. Great evening
I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place before! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server (I think I saw David on the bill) was friendly and fun and very helpful. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.
Absolutely delicious food and drinks and lovely service as always.
Excellent food, with an refreshingly unusual menu. Very well looked after by the staff.
Really great food and service (and cocktails). Much bigger space than we expected, nice and airy.
Amazing food and service as always, relaxed dinning and great food and cocktails perfect evening celebrating a birthday!
Food and service was great. Hate that wine was served in a tumbler.....
Friday night booking so place was busy to bursting. But it was a great atmosphere staff were truly amazing despite a full house service was efficient but not rushed. Food came flying out the kitchen and was good and hot. Mussels in coconut milk and chilli jam were the star of the show..spicy with a bit of sweetness that brought out tbe creamy texture of the mussels....i love mussels and have eaten kilos of them and these were up there with the best. The burnt carrots were gorgeous with the pork croquet which is a non sauced pulled pork, brined and spiced by my guess in a crispy breadcrumb coating. It needs the carrots or something against it as it could be too dry on its own..it comes with a litgle bit of house made brown sauce but its not for me a little to fruity not enough tartness for the salt pork...but thats just me...the carrots made it perfect. We also had the cauliflower with pomegranate really nice. The Lebanese wine white tonight...was up there with a decent fuisse. Is there things that you could tweak...yeah....would it massively improve things ...no! Food is such a personal taste thing that anyone being critical of this place should just stay home and cook their own food their way. It is great value well cooked and presented and i have 2 more bookings in between now and Xmas.
Excellent food and drink. 11/10
Service was very friendly but the waitress came over several times in quick succession to ask if we were ready to order (which we weren’t until about attempt number five). The restaurant wasn’t busy at that time, so would encourage better observation as it would have been apparent we were talking and hadn’t had a chance to look at the menu. As a result we felt unnecessarily hassled
We visited during our lunch hour and was amazed! The food tasted incredible and it was great to have a different kind of menu with more than just the 'classic' dishes. The quality of food was stellar without a huge cost and service wonderful too. Can't wait to go back again!
Excellent food and value for money
Having visited the restaurant before I must say, I am disappointed. The confit chicken was bland at best, the pork croquette was nice but it’s sides not so much, the roast cauliflower wasn’t entirely appealing either. Just overall disappointing. Tried a few cocktails and none were great - far too strong. For the price you pay, you expect better.
From careful attention to the detail of the booking request to engaging service and exciting food and drink our evening was a real joy. If any counsel of perfection is required then perhaps an indication of whether mains are hot or cold would be good. Thankyou
Great interesting food.
Food was delicious and the staff were really friendly.
Delicious food, lovely cocktails and really good value for money. Can’t wait to come back.
Loved the idea of the small plates, food was amazing. Only critique I have is mostly all of the options had nuts in them or nuts on top and I have a nut allergy would be nice to get them without nuts but I know that’s not always an option.
Amazing food, great wine, friendly and really helpful staff in a great atmosphere. Loved it!
