About Fishbone Restaurant & Bar
Fishbone Restaurant is located in Future Inn Plymouth hotel and serves great British food with an array of delicious fresh fish dishes. We pride ourselves on providing the best, mouth-watering dishes using fresh local ingredients. The restaurant has gained an excellent reputation and is the perfect setting for a family celebration, a catch up with friends, client meeting or an intimate dinner for two.
Our food is presented in an informally relaxed manner is served all day, every day. There’s a wide range of beer, lager and wine on offer – almost all of which are available by the glass, as well as the bottle. Naturally, there’s a good choice of soft drinks too, including refreshing fruit juices, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Excellent Afternoon Tea. The service and quality of the food was amazing.
Value for money. Polite staff. Good food.
Best afternoon tea I have had and staff were great and very polite.
Food was lovely , however the service was not .. first they bought the wrong food to our table and one of the waitresses was very very rude !!
Food was fine but the overall experience was very sub standard. We felt like we were eating in an AIRPORT. No ambience, all spotlights we’re on, it’s Valentines Evening, at least provide a little atmosphere. Waitresses were lovely BUT they did not talk to each other so every few minutes one would arrive and ask the same as the others so very unorganised. Would not go again given the amount of restaurants that attempt to provide a nice experience.
Very disappointed as we had eaten here before and enjoyed it. Both my mother and I had the sea bass which was overcooked and only one small piece each. We hoped it would improve with the dessert but the sticky toffee pudding was dry and heavy and the chocolate brownie was tasteless. On the plus side presentation was good and the waitress was friendly and helpful although we were not asked once if our food was ok.
Excellent as always. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail. Staff friendly and polite. Almond biscuit with coffee looked like shortbread. Might need to advise customers due to nut allergy
Service very slow, food did not match menu, hardly any vegetarian options
good service waiting staff very friendly starters very nice
Portion sizes were very generous- good value for money and the sea bass was amazing
The welcome and the service were exemplary, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Being able to park easily was also a great advantage. The restaurant was attractive and pleasant with pot plants on all the tables. I expect the atmosphere would be enhanced of an evening when there are more clients, but we were treated beautifully. Service was efficient, staff were pleasant, and the food was good value for money
Really enjoyed the Christmas lunch. Could not fault a thing.
Very attentive staff, friendly, polite and nothing was to much trouble. Had an afternoon tea and there was plenty of it , can home with a doggie bag as there was so much . Really good value for money . Would definitely recommend and come back. Thanks
Excellent Christmas lunch and service
Wouldn't return for a Christmas menu meal. Food was not great. Service was ok.
Delicious fresh fish dishes, good quality meats and very reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff.
Starter had parts missing main meal wasnt hot just warm Staff were lively tho
We had the festive tea for a group of friends. The portions were generous and tasty, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. At £12 per head we have already started recommending it to others.
The food was plentiful and dietary requirements were met, the service was very good and nothing was too much trouble for the young lady waiting our table. We were the only diners for a great amount of ths time, so the atmosphere was only what we made ourselves, some festive music may have helped create an atmosphere. But overall a good place to meet up
We had a table of 9 We waited 25 minutes for our drinks. Then we ordered our food and we waited 45 minutes to an hour. Some of the food was cold by this point we were so hungry we just ate it.then we waited a further 30 minutes for dessert which wasn't brought out together. It wasn't even packed... Then they got the bill wrong. We were seated at 6:30 and we didn't leave until 9:15. Didn't enjoy the experience from the fishbone. Won't be going back!!
The staff are great nothing is to much trouble and the food is great well worth a visit
Staff extremely polite.
Very disappointed that when I asked for a Blue Margerita cocktail - the bar did not have the necessary spirits to make one!! I was told when ordering calamari that it was no longer a menu item despite being 'on the menu'. Vegetables were overcooked. I would have expected a small dish of mayo when requested - not plastic sachets. Overall very disappointed.
The service manager ( young lady with long dark hair and glasses) Wonderful, quick, professional and very kind and helpful. We are coming back next week with family.
