Serving the freshest fish & shellfish direct from the boats from around the South Island of New Zealand. Named one of New Zealand’s Top 50 restaurants and a recent recipient of a coveted Cuisine magazine Hat, this is the place for seafood in Queenstown.
Very glad we found this place. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was awesome! Will definitely come back next time we are in Queenstown. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Just had a very pleasant dinner on First Table at the Fishbone. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals: we shared excellent Bluff oysters and the 3 other seafood dishes and the lamb we ordered were all well prepared. Side dishes were large enough to share.A variation on pavlova for dessert was also delicious.
It‘s not a cheap restaurant but the quality of the fish is worth it! The oysters and mussles were amazing! Only the salmon steak was with bones!
Best food we’ve had on our month’s tour of all kind of star foodie restaurants in all New Zealand: no blobs of unknown colours and tastes, just really excellent fish and vegetables and salad and super wine (recommended on the menu). Thank you.
The food was amazing
Our choice of blue cod and sole, was superb and made even more memorable by the delightful Swedish hostess. We will be back!
As per usual the Meal was perfect. Many Thanks.
Food is good service can be better.
sehr kreative Küche, super Seafood
Had a great time and will definitely go again.
Everything about the experience was outstanding. The service, the atmosphere and of course the food. Seafood chowder, whole flounder and green thai curry were amazing and the best we have ever had! Will be back for sure when next in Q'town!
Delicious food Great service Very highly recommend
It was my second time to dine in. The oysters were fresh and nice. The main was awesome too. The staff were kind and attentive. I will try other menu soon.
Starters of Abolone and Tuna were to die for, main of the lemon sole was pretty good, desert of pavlova was way too sweet and not great.
Very disappointed, seafood chowder hardly any taste, runny prob just cream, and some smoked fish, then blue cod main, would have been $28 half plate of chips, and 1 piece of blue cod nothing else, looked terrible worse than a basic pub meal,
Definitely the best fish restaurant in town. Amazing service, delicious food, nice atmosphere and good wine. We will be back :)
We had a delicious dinner at Fishbone. The salads were fantastic, as was the tuna appetizer. It was fun to sit by the open kitchen and watch the chefs. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
Lovely, great food and service. Next time I’m going to try the fish and chips (yum yum, get in my belly)
Fishbone was great for lunch. We both got a different main and shared to get the most from our dining experience. Will definitely be back again for lunch and dinner next time. Great food and great service.
The mains were really good. The scallops were fresh however too small. The sea urchin pasta was nice and creamy.
Fish was delicious! Service was terrific. Loved the place.
Delicious food. Fish and chips (hold) was best we had in 10 day trip. Generous portions. Friendly staff.
