About Fig & Olive
We offer modern European dishes with a Mediterranean influence. Our food is healthy with a wealth of aroma and delicately flavoured with a distinctive selection of herbs and spices. Our salads and cakes from buffet sections are prepared daily from the freshest ingredients.
Our restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Upper Street Islington London and set in a long contemporary room that has been beautifully decorated in a modern style. We are able to cater for breakfast, lunch, informal buffets and full À la carte dinner menus but are always happy to discuss your dinning requirements.
Really great experience here. Amazing food and really attentive staff. will definitely be visiting again.
Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back
The staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. Delicious food too. It was a wonderful way to celebrate 40 years of friendship with a friend.
I eat out a lot, and this was the best meal I have ever had by a long way. The quality of the food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. I would go everyday if I could. Unbelievable!
Really excellent modern bistro cuisine with exquisite desserts choice. Despite upmarket quality setting, there is no snobbery from staff or clientele about bringing children (newborn babies, infants and toddlers), with baby change facility. Honestly no criticisms, so great.
We had such a great lunch. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you!
Food was great and good value with tastecard. However we booked as a pretheatre meal and we were right on time as food took a while to arrive
Over cooked salmon and the mushroom sauce for pasta was too liquid. Ended uo being a mushroom soup
The Sunday lunch time trade was busy but the service was very good and we were not hurried. it was a most enjoyable Sunday afternoon experience. Our 91 year old mother enjoyed her birthday lunch and it didn't break the bank.
Always a good place for brunch
We really enjoyed our visit. Food delicious, though there may have been a touch too much truffle oil on my pasta. Service really lovely and overall a great experience. Will return.
It was lovely but the noise was deafening. We asked (more than once, I think) for the music to be turned down. But it didn't seem to have any effect. We'd be keen to come again if there was any hope of a slightly quieter ambience.
If we were offered a highchair for the baby would be nice.
Good food very generous portions
Service was excellent and our requests were handled with a good manner. Food was tasty although the goose fat chips were not as crispy as I would have liked. Wine choices were also good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was easy going.
I eat here frequently and esp like the beef roast on Sundays but this time around I got a measly portion of not very tender meat which was also kind of cold. In the meanwhile I noticed that diners around me got substantially larger and better looking pieces of meat. It’s best to keep your portions consistent !
Lovely food and the service was well paced. We sat there for 31/2 hours and weren’t hassled to leave.
Lovely restaurant with good value and enjolyabloe food. Staff were lovely but for some reason, on this particuular night it didn't seem very popular on Upper Streets busy drag! Could be an odd Weds night and I will try again soon.
Lovely meal with friends
Perfect service, tasty food. Amazing little restaurant in Islington area.
Fabulous menu with great options for vegetarians without being super vegan/vegetarian leaning either. So many options to choose from for a weekend brunch whether you're leaning towards a breakfast menu or more lunch. Service is great too!
Lovely service and delicious food! We will return. you are our favourite lunch spot for pre-matinee at the Almeida
Your venue and decor is lovely and I particularly liked the use of glass decanters for your lighting!! The food was good but my friends goats cheese salad was a bit sparse on the goats cheese. I asked for salad instead of mashed potato with my braised beef which they accommodated but rh saps was just a pile of leaves so I asked if they could add some other bits to make it more ‘salad like’. The was done but almost with irritation as if this was a strange request. There were other instances of poor service but more importantly an overall lack of friendliness, warmth and smiles by the male waiters. However the one female waitress Was lovely and charming - they could learn a lot from her...
