About Fifty Four Restaurant
European restaurant open all day serving breakfast to dinner and everything in between. Cosy up to out log burner with a hot chocolate in colder months or enjoy the outdoor (heated) terrace with a crisp white and healthy salad in summer.
Very pleased 54 is open again. Four of us went for lunch on a Sunday. The decor is lovely with comfortable seating. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was delicious. Looking forward to our next visit!
Interesting request to provide feedback- when the restaurant is actually CLOSED! We had booked online as a special family evening in remembrance of my partner’s mother. 6 of us had travelled from Edinburgh, Manchester and Rugby. The website looks great and the reviews very good. I even had a reminder email on the day of our booking. Sadly the restaurant closed in October- so why is the website still live and taking bookings, then emailing confirmations, and most bizarrely of all, requesting reviews??? Luckily we had walked past the night before so were able to book a table at Zen for our special evening.
Unbelievable. Took the booking, arrived and it was closed and had been for the last 6 days due to change if ownership BUT still took the booking! It was my birthday and I was not impressed.
One small point. Three of us ordered starters on sour dough. When the food was brought to us we were informed that there was no sour dough bread and normal bread had been toasted. I think we should have been informed before it was plated so giving a chance to change the starter. Small point I know. The starters were good.
The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated and gave a cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately the food we felt was not what we would expect from such a nice place. For starters we had the shepherds pie which was tasty, however the chicken wings were extremely tasteless. The main course, the meat platter, looked fantastic however we were very disappointed that the food wasn't hot, and after a short amount of time became very cold. The only thing that remained warm was the chorizo stew. I wish we had had a better experience as we looked forward to celebrating our anniversary but we felt let down. Prices are reasonable, service in general was pretty good, however I did take offence when the man made a deal about me paying the bill and not my husband. I'm not sure if we would come again, as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area to try. It's a shame as the place does look the part.
Never had any cause to complain... the food has always been excellent as has the service .
Restaurant was really quiet when we arrived but began to slowly fill. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Ordered 3 courses from the set menu which was brilliant value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely return! Thank you.
Yet another superb experience at 54!
Great venue with a relaxed but sophisticated menu and ambience. The combination of indoor and outdoor dining space is a winner. Friendly and very helpful staff. Definitely not to be missed and one of the very best places in the Fylde.
Had a great night for my Wife's birthday. There were 19 of us and everyone enjoyed the evening. No mistakes on the orders and no real gaps in the food arriving (which was delicious). Have been to Fifty Four before and will certainly go there again the next time we're in St. Anne's. Definitely recommend it.
Would definitely go back again.
Excellent meal, delicious and wonderful staff
This was our first visit to The Fiftyfour restaurant. The staff were very attentive, the service was very good. We had the set menu £15.99 for 2 courses, I had the Halloumi chips and then Salmon, both dishes were very nice. The restaurant decoration is modern and offers a relaxed atmosphere, and I would certainly recommend it.
Friendly staff great food recommend
Very good food and service
What a lovely friend ly place to eat
Food - very good
Breakfast and atmosphere excellent. Should state on the menu card that breakfast comes with toast as our waiter failed to point this out when one of our group ordered extra sourdough bread! Staff pleasant but our waiter was inexperienced, not well trained and it showed. But would recommend nonetheless.
Lovely meal and great service. Will be back again soon.
Although we had another good night (7 adults and a child) the quality of the main course was not up to the usual standard.Three of us had mussels and to say the least they were SMALL and DRY hardly any sauce and NO taste. We will be back again because we know the food at 54 is normally excellent. However on this occasion the restaurant was very busy and I think the chef was under pressure.
Unfortunately the pork belly skewer was basically all fat and absolutely no meat and one of the king prawns still had the grey intestine line running through so couldn’t eat it. I think more attention to detail with the food is needed as currently it seems style over substance, I also recommend slightly larger plates for tapas as some dishes were hanging over the edge.
Friendly service and interesting menu. Background music too noisy. Dessert choice could have been a little wider.
Food was great but found the service a little slow waited 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared after our main course. The restaurant wasn't overly busy.
Fabulous place with great food and very attentive staff. Nothing is ever to much trouble. Love this place.
