About Ferryhill House Hotel
Welcome to the Ferryhill House Hotel…your family friendly hotel, bar & restaurant based in the heart of the city centre.
Set within our private gardens, The Ferryhill House Hotel is the perfect setting to to enjoy relaxing drink, fine food and a comfortable place to rest your head.
Our historic building, formerly an elegant family home, boasts a large restaurant with conservatory serving an extensive menu of home cooked food and a traditional public bar area, both of which have been stylishly refurbished in the last few months.
We also have nine en-suite bedrooms and an outdoor sun terrace, complete with a children’s play park.
Would highly recommend for a meal & drinks for any occasion. The service was great and good fresh food too.
Considering the restrictions in place due to covid we had a great lunch
All the servers were lovely and welcoming
All in all a good experience was had given the current circumstances. We ate outside in the marquee and ensured we'd plenty layers on!
Great location and good value for money, however we had an evening meal in the restaurant and it was very cold, had to send my husband for my coatigan. Room was lovely but very little force with the shower. Lovely staff and great breakfast.
Amazing service as always You are all doing a fantastic job
We have frequented the establishment for many years and appreciate the hard times they must be under however, we were placed in an outer table of the marquee (despite having booked many weeks in advance, and there were warmer tables available at a sociable distance) : we were offered no menus for almost 40 minutes (I had to ask for them): my husband's fish was burnt and my chicken was dry. The prices no longer reflect what you are being served with which is a shame because there used to be very high standards here.
Lovely setting, excellent service and totally safe venue. Will definately be back soon 5 Star
Booked a table in bar for lunch. Room was cold and not too busy. Order was taken but had a while to wait for food to arrive. Chicken burger was over cooked. Wrong food given (ordered a CLT but got a Chicken Caesar instead) and the chips weren’t hot. Did mention to staff but weren’t removed from bill and no apology really given. Disappointing after having a nice lunch a fortnight previously
The portion sizes where huge. We had a sharing platter to start with and that would have been more than enough for the whole meal! The service was excellent. The girl we had was super and when she saw I was struggling with my main course, she offered to wrap it up, to take home.
Made to feel very safe. Given lots of rules and regulations once we were at our table. Friendly, attentive staff. Plenty of time (2hrs) given to enjoy our lunch.
Great service and lovely staff as always
Had a lovely lunch - great menu and well priced. Friendly staff and great we could get an alcoholic drink in outside seated area, although we were disappointed there was no heaters on due to the gas having run out (even if we were made aware of this beforehand so we could have worn extra layers). Looking forward to returning in future!
Brilliant setting and service. Food always of a high standard. Recommended and will return.
Friendly, attentive staff and great food!
Portions were massive. It was incredibly cold and we kept having to turn on the heater (thankfully we were sat near it). Service was a little slow, but was our waitresses were lovely.
Despite all the current restrictions by the Scottish Govt, we enjoyed our stay at Ferryhill. The staff at reception on Friday afternoon were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely and clean, the only problem was that the shower was temperamental. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast, all freshly cooked. We had drinks out on the terrace, as it was the only place we could meet up with our daughter, our sole reason in coming down to Aberdeen. We are fairly certain we will be back to stay again.
Service was very good the staff were always there to attend to our needs and even after the 2 hours in a pleasant seat within the marquee we were given a seat to continue drinking with equally same service Pity the weather wasn’t great and under current regulations a very pleasant visit Ferryhill always very good
We arrived early and was shown to our table straight away. Was served quickly and food was lovely. We were advised about the new restrictions and staff were very attentive.
Enjoyed our meal during restrictions. It’s the new norm but it’s such a shame that you’re not allowed anything on the tables as it looks so bare but so be it! Missed a glass of wine with my meal and feel that is the stupidest rule by Scottish Government! Hopefully this will change soon. Keep up the good work xx
Good service. Happy we can still visit.
Excellent food and service.
