About Ferryhill House Hotel
Welcome to the Ferryhill House Hotel…your family friendly hotel, bar & restaurant based in the heart of the city centre.
Set within our private gardens, The Ferryhill House Hotel is the perfect setting to to enjoy relaxing drink, fine food and a comfortable place to rest your head.
Our historic building, formerly an elegant family home, boasts a large restaurant with conservatory serving an extensive menu of home cooked food and a traditional public bar area, both of which have been stylishly refurbished in the last few months.
We also have nine en-suite bedrooms and an outdoor sun terrace, complete with a children’s play park.
Best carvery I have ever had, staff were attentive and good fun, will be telling everyone how good lunch was and I will be back.......soon
Second time in a couple of months, thought both times service was a bit laboured, food was ok, great location and bar had a nice atmosphere
Thank you so much for hosting our family gathering on the 29th February 2020. Everyone commented on how wonderful the evening was from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and service. The service and attention to detail of the Restaurant staff was excellent making the experience even more enjoyable. Thanking you Richard Neish
Love the Ferryhill because of its cosy and friendly atmosphere.
Enjoyable afternoon but disappointed with the carvery. Beef very undercooked.
Hectic, busy place, with a cluttered untidy bar area right in front of us whilst eating, it felt very chaotic and not relaxed at all. Portion sizes were inconsistent and the food was barely average, with no care taken on the presentation.
Good family event thanks to willing pleasant service
No table could be found under this reservation so had to sit in bar. Bar was cold so family all had lunch with jackets on. I had gluten free chicken skewers which should have been with bbq sauce however came out dry. Waiting 45 minutes for food to come. Used to be really good here but seems to have went down hill quite a bit.
Best fish and chips in Aberdeen.
Lovely meal as part of Aberdeen restaurant week. Had a bit of a wait between courses but nice atmosphere and was in no rush so didn’t mind.
We had a lovely meal during restaurant week. There were delays in the service but the food was great and the portions were generous.
We enjoyed our meal in the bar. The waiters were friendly and attentive. My only negative point was that the food service was very slow. I appreciate you are a busy bar/restaurant with food, but the length of time to wait was far too long and had it not been that we were there for the Aberdeen Restaurant Week for dinner, I would have cancelled my sweet order and left. Again my only negative point having been in the restaurant previously is the food service - far too slow.
Amazing value for money 2 courses for £10 at lunchtime - good quality food & large portions. Restaurant wasn’t open but the bar is a lovely area. Very busy with everyone dining. Friendly & efficient staff.
One dessert was forgotten about but quickly refunded when the mistake was highlighted and offered as a free to take home. Couldn't have asked for more
A good buzz in the bar to eat as it was quite busy. Food was good as always too. Service a little slow but we weren't in a rush and it was busy. Would recommend for a midweek catch up with friends.
I booked for your carvery 4 days in advance for my family to attend on Sunday. I booked online and at no point did it say we would be stuck in a corner in the bar?? If I am booking for your carvery obviously I would want to sit in the restaurant different if I booked last minute?? Your staff were very unhelpful and I just got told you were fully booked when the restaurant looked half empty was really disappointed and had really put me off ever booking in the future just thought I would make you aware for people booking online in the future Regards Angela Ord
Prefer cream rather than milk with coffee. One meal not up to standard. Disappointing. I saw the water's face when she spoke to someone on the desk. I was not amused.
Quite disappointed in food really. Was more like pub grub and not home made. Heat up job and not much else involved 😞 won’t be rushing back
A very enjoyable meal, food great and a lovely relaxing place. Will definitely be back !
Friendly welcome, and staff. Good menu, loved the fact you did half portions of certain things ie fish and chips! Kids menu great value for money. Order taken and given in good time. Fish lovely and fresh. All in all a lovely Sunday family meal out, will be coming back. Thank you.
Always happy to dine at FHH. The service and the food are first class, and there is always a good atmosphere in the dining room. Thank you.
Friendly service and good food.
Warm welcome, great table, great customer service, prompt service and good sized portions, lovely food.
Lovely meal, nice service but we weren’t told when I booked that the table was in the bar not the restaurant. That said, it was really nice and the atmosphere was good. Food was tasty, fresh and the portions were good. Would definitely visit again!
