Great service and lovely food
Main dish was excellent, dessert was somewhat less so.
Traditional setting with modern outlook, nice food and good service
Some of the staff could have been a bit more engaging and pleasant
Lovely meal, staff smiling and helpful.
We did not get our table till almost 8 30. We had to wait in the bar. We were given a dessert menu after the mains were cleared but no one came ro take the order. We will not be back
Generally a pleasant meal, however limited children’s menu options that don’t include chips. It would be beneficial to provide some alternatives sides such a rice or potatoes
Salad came with cheese when asked for no cheese but wasn’t too big of a deal was easy to pick out
Took my parents for a meal after they came for a visit to Aberdeen. Both were very impressed by the food and quality of service, will definitely be back!
It would be helpful to have a drinks list on the table as well as a wine list. One person wanted craft or draft beers and the server wasn’t sure what you had. Food was excellent and so was the service. I have been coming here occasionally for many years and it always hits the spot!
Refurbished patio is great. Great menu and drink choices. V friendly staff.
Ordered the sharing platter to start and were brought mayonnaise instead of hummus. Main courses great, and desserts cold, when they should have been hot. A mixed bag!
Lovely food Good atmosphere
Having been a long term regular of the Ferryhill House Hotel before emigrating to NZ, I was very disappointed by the menu and cost. Sat 3rd August was my second visit as I attended the Thursday before with other friends who are local Aberdonians. I asked the waitress if the scallops were supposed to be hot or cold, as they were cold, she did not get back to me. One of our guests also had the scallops and they were hot but served to her about 5 mins after me, all our starters were served at different times and the service was very slow. Although I will not be back to the Ferryhill my friends will not either as we were all disappointed. I had lamb on the Thursday and you needed a microscope to see the lamb on the very small lamb cutlets!!! The table on the Thursday was under the name of Jackie Webster! Very disappointed ☹️
We found it rather odd (and challenging) that the only disabled parking space was situated at the farthest point of the car park from the front door. Had there been any free spaces (which there weren't) nearer the door we would have naturally parked in one of them to save my husband the extra distance.
We had a great meal and a fantastic night with old friends in the garden. I feel sorry for the local residents as being a busy night it was quite noisy. All the best and thank you all... W
We were at a wobbly table beside a large party It also was exceptionally busy due to the weather

Teatime supper catchup; food good, service a bit slow but was very busy. Starter a bit pricey at £6.95 for 3 small black pudding & haggis bonbons (but they were good)
We had a lovely meal, the staff were great, and very helpful with regards to gluten free options. Nice relaxed atmosphere, we're looking forward to coming back again!
Lovely meal and excellent service
The food was absolutely delicious however, the service was shocking. Our order was taken promptly but unfortunately that was the only thing to be prompt. After every course we sat for ages with dirty plates. Staff continually looked at our table as they passed but did not clear our table. I'd have chalked it up to being busy but the tables around us were cleared in a timely manner. I mentioned to the manageress that we had sat with dirty plates for ages and asked for our bill along with our desserts having missed the cinema showing we had planned to go to. Her response was "No bother, I'll get that for you." There was no acknowledgement of our issue. I watched the same manageress standing at the bar chewing her nails whilst staff again passed our table ignoring our dirty plates. There was an older waitress who seemed to be the only member of staff that knew what she was doing. The whole experience was disappointing. Fortunately, the food was delicious so we may consider giving it a second chance but perhaps not when we have a cinema showing to catch.
