About Fawsley Hall - Tudor Lounge
With its rich heritage as a Royal Manor which has hosted many eminent guests including Queen Elizabeth I, Fawsley Hall offers a fascinating and unique setting for special occasions and dining.
Guests can enjoy a mixture of the traditional and contemporary, with classic afternoon tea in the Tudor Great Hall or modern British food in the award-winning Cedar Restaurant. Located on the ground floor of the South Wing, this space was built in the early 16th century and displays many hallmarks of the Tudor era, with a beamed ceiling, exposed brickwork and stone fireplace.
Our private dining rooms are perfect for intimate occasions, or the Tudor Bar offers a cosy retreat within which to eat a light lunch or indulge in a pre-dinner cocktail.
Excellent outdoor offering. Even cooked breakfast for us at 2.30 in the afternoon!
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, well done on excellent food and service. We will be back for sure.
Wonderful to have lunch at Fawsley Hall after a lovely walk. As always a lovely relaxed experience, atmosphere and service both affected by current Covid situation.
If you want something special this is always a lovely venue to visit. A great selection of food and afternoon is lovely especially if you get to try the hot menu when it’s available. Staff are polite and always at hand to help. 5 stars for venues around Northamptonshire to visit.
Lovely light lunch outside at Fawsley Hall, despite the cold and rainy weather.
It rained and rained but the staff were popping in and out in the freezing cold to help. Its such a beautiful place
Amazing place, lovely courtyard with heaters which made it a really sheltered and comfortable dining experience. Food was delicious and service spot on.
Lovely meal, great staff and super location.
Wonderful setting & perfect place for 18th birthday celebration. We were married there in 2000, lovely to continue the happy memories!
Superb service, delicious food and wonderful surroundings.
Food was amazing along with the service, my only complaint was that for hiring out the tent for £200 that is advertised as heated to then get there and it be a small dyson fan that had no effect on the temperature was the only negative I could pick up. We paid for a slightly better experience and hoping not to dine and wear coats however that was the case.
A great afternoon experience. Service was brilliant and staff attentive and friendly. Food excellent. Thank you!
Great birthday treat for breakfast and excellent value for money service and surroundings perfect
Lovely afternoon tea and lovely staff ..... will be back x
Fab meal with friends and due to one of our dishes taking bit longer than the chef would have liked we were given a complimentary wine on the house! Great fully received as we hadn’t even noticed the time as we were catching up on a years worth of gossip!
Al fresco afternoon tea on a chilly April day might have been something of a challenge. However, the usual warm welcome from the staff at Fawsley, the excellent champagne and delicious food, more than made up for the grey skies and cool breeze. Truly an afternoon to remember, taking tea in the courtyard, dressed in thermals and walking jackets. We enjoyed every moment and would happily do it every week.
Only fault found was the long wait for our starter
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch in celebration of my birthday. We were guided to a nice sunny table in the beautiful courtyard area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and so was the Singapore Slingshot cocktail. Overall we had a delightful afternoon. I plan to book a return visit later in the year when we will be allowed inside the restaurant.
My only complaint is that is the second time I have booked online only to be told when I get there that they have no derails of My booking . This is uncomfortable to say the least and you feel its your fault even when it's not.. The food was good ...as was the service but we waited for a long time for our food as the kitchen was busy ...staff warm and friendly I won't however book online again ☹
I had a lovely date the service and venue made it extra special and memorable. Thank you
Special thanks to Nathan who always makes our visits even more amazing!
Brilliant lunch - really well done for first class service.
Excellent evening, wonderful service and great food
Excellent service, we were moved into the sunshine once another table had left which was great and very well looked after. Food was great and atmosphere was lovely! Food is excellent value for money, cocktails are quite expensive!
Thank you for requesting feedback from our recent experience. The service we received from every staff member was wonderful and Oliver's attention to detail was truly outstanding. Despite having brought a scarf, coat and pashmina, it was so cold in the courtyard, I didn't feel able to eat my food when it eventually arrived. Oliver was very understanding and managed to relocate us to a beautiful sunny table in the front garden. Quite why Fawsley Hall is not using the garden for dining is beyond me, as it showcases the finest aspect - the view! The courtyard is so dark, cold and lacking in atmosphere that I would not consider returning in the current circumstances.
