About FatCap Smokehouse
American BBQ Smokehouse
Table was located next to the door which in November, my partner and I was freezing every time when the door opened which is not ideal in the slightest. Service was very delayed also
Great food & service! We look forward to returning asap
So friendly! Food was amazing, deffo reccomend !
Service wasnt the best. We werent asked how our food was and the app went down but thankfully the food was amazing
Fairly poor service this visit. 20 minute wait for drinks, to find the ticket must have been thrown, so showed evidence of purchase, then the drinks brought over to be wrong anyway. Quite obviously the team, had some troublesome customers in prior to us arriving and therefore were preoccupied with them, (I understand what type of customers they were) but made it hardly worth the money based on the service provided, as It was the result of another group.
Very good fast service friendly Food was amazing x
Delicious food, fun atmosphere with great tunes being played, and charismatic servers.
I know that we are in a pandemic, however we were given paper menus that were half printed, along with a really slow service, I understand that there may have been less staff but we waited over an hour for our mains and the restaurant was only even a quarter full!!
Would have been good to see a drinks menu, we asked but one couldn’t be found!
Amazing food the burgers were really tasty, the kids loved their ribs and corn dogs.
We ordered our dinner at 8.10pm. Our starters came and they were lovely. We started to get concerned when we hadn’t received our mains by 9.25pm, considering we knew it was closing at 10 and all staff looked like they were starting to tidy up. We enquired and the waitress checked and the food hadn’t been cooked, they did apologise. Unfortunately we then only had less than 30 minutes to eat our platter we had ordered, whilst everyone was clearing up around us. The waitress was apologetic and did refund our mains. However, this did ruin our experience and felt very rushed, and therefore we did not enjoy our meal. After hearing great reviews about this restaurant, we were highly disappointed with our experience.
Great food. Service was ok but a little hard to get someone’s attention when we wanted a refill drink as nobody comes back to check everything was ok and if we needed anything else. Not a huge problem but would be worth revisiting tables through their sitting to see if they want anything else.
Amazing food, genuinely incredible. The st louis ribs are the best I've ever had and the brisket is unbelievable.
Lovely to have a different menu to other restaurants, will definitely go back
The food was incredible, amazing service and great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come again :)
We had a table booked for 8 and arrived at 7:50. We were left stood at the front of the restaurant for nearly 20 minutes until we complained and then we're told we could sit at the bar. Food was cold on the starters but we were that hungry we ate it anyway
The food was really good - could end up spending quite a lot if you’re not careful but it was delicious and the service was good
Lovely venue I’ve visited many times. Please sort out the ‘BBQ’ decor in front of the bar, the first B should be in the top corner! Drives my OCD nuts
The food was lovely. We will definitely be back!
£3.70 for refillable drink that doesn’t get refilled because service staff were not seen in the 1.5 hours we were there other than to bring out peoples food and then seemingly deliberately avoid eye contact and not even a “how’s your £45 sharer combo?” let alone offering you a refill! (No option on the digital ordering service to ask for a refill either). I tried calling out to a passing server on three occasions to get a refill On my drink but no joy....so £3.70 for one medium sized coke. In reality of value the platter should be closer to £25 as it was clearly cheap ingredients. Brisket was nice, Pulled pork was ok. Hot links were anaemic , only got one (small) piece of dry and crumbly cornbread for a shared platter. Ribs were not tender and there was a distinct lack of real smoke flavour/smell that left me wondering if this was even bbq or if it was just reheated packaged stuff. Perhaps an electric smoker? (Not a “smokehouse” in that case). Had one forkful of the beans and the coleslaw and then didn’t bother. Have spent a long time in the southern USA so perhaps spoilt for bbq. However, smoked meat tends to have a smoke ring (pink tinge near the surface of the meat) and a disntinctive woody/charcoal aroma as well as bark on the edges of the meat...all of which were lacking in this place. Will go back maybe because I liked the brisket and it can be hard to find acceptable brisket in the UK. This was acceptable brisket but not much more than that. Had been told that the food was good but warned that the service was poor and I agreed with the service side being poor. I wouldn’t say the food was “good” for anyone who likes real bbq. It was ok. Nothing more. Overpriced too
Absolutely fantastic, 2nd visit bought 4 friends with us who also lived it. Food amazing as ever.
Loved the food, good portion sizes and friendly staff
Food fab , restaurant had a great look but the waitress shouldn't be working in customer services if she struggles to smile. It's a real put off when the staff are miserable. X
A bigger cocktail menu would be the only suggestion I have :)
