About Fantoosh Nook
We are a lively Fish and Seafood Café in the centre of Milngavie. Serving everything from our amazing fish & chips to beautifully cooked West Coast Shellfish, all supplied by our very own Fishmonger at Fantoosh Fish. Perfect for casual dining and small parties in a relaxed atmosphere.
Great food. Good prices.
My wife and I had a very good meal which was fairly priced. Quality high and portions good. Service was good and staff pleasant. It did not affect our evening but we felt they were a little busy. We will go back.
Party of 4, everyone enjoyed their meals, food was fresh, very tasty & priced reasonable, service was great, we will be back & would highly recommend.
Cosy stylish cafe style bistro - a must for fish fans! Great prices too, great value for money.
Quality food and great staff
Great meal, friendly staff. Will go back.
Food was absolutely delicious! and staff were very attentive but not in your face. Will be back very soon.
What an excellent local, friendly, delicious restaurant! I have been several times lunch and dinner each time the food and service has been excellent!
We enjoyed a relaxed and tasty two-course evening meal in this friendly restaurant. Food was excellent.
Really enjoyed our lunch at Fantoosh Nook The mushroom Goulash was so good.. followed by chocolate tart. Will definitely be back.!
Lovely lunch . . Smiley ,pleasant staff .. lovely decor. Only negative issue was every time the door to the restaurant opened a blast of cold air came in ( and the door was open fairly often as was a fairly busy lunch-, time). However, I will still return on milder days . Thanks
Absolutely great Victoria gave us a lovely welcome - and a table next to the radiator - very welcome when the temp outside was 1 deg ! Food was very, very good All in all a great first visit, and definitely won't be our last.
Delighted you were able to cater for gluten free diet - Cullen Skink was delicious and my sister really enjoyed her Moules Frites with lovely home made bread. Glad I found you online to make our wee visit to Milngavie more special.
We had soup and the Special of the Day. The soup was thick and delicious and the special scallops were a real treat. A small but nice selection of desserts to finish made it a great meal washed down with reasonably priced wine. Highly recommended but book early to get a place.
Service and food were excellent as always.
The three courses I had were excellent. My partner had the fish pie which looked fantastic but had no flavour at all as if it hadn’t been seasoned, he ate vey little of it. The staff were fast, efficient and friendly.
Sadly there was only one other couple in the restaurant so there was no real atmosphere! The food was very good tho we had to wait quite a while for our mains, even with just 4 customers. We didn’t feel the waitress was very attentive. We had to ask for coffees and the bill. Fish is expensive to buy and that was reflected in the prices. There was only one special. It would be nice to have more. We have eaten here before. Maybe a better place for lunch.
We had a lovely evening in Fantoosh Fish, the atmosphere was great and the staff were fantastic.
