About Fantoosh Nook
We are a lively Fish and Seafood Café in the centre of Milngavie. Serving everything from our amazing fish & chips to beautifully cooked West Coast Shellfish, all supplied by our very own Fishmonger at Fantoosh Fish. Perfect for casual dining and small parties in a relaxed atmosphere.
1st visit and I will definitely be back. Food was delicious and the service was great, our waiter was really attentive. 😀
An excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings. The service was friendly, efficient and there were no long waits. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. It was our first time and we’ll certainly be back.
I thought 10 pounds for 2 scallops was a bit mean. But the main course portions were good and the food was delicious. The service was very nice and friendly. We will be back.
Food and service was very good.
Lovely food and experience and will definitely return. Please give our thanks to the wonderful waiting staff.
Great seafood beautifully cooked. Simple classic food done really well. Went for a birthday dinner out and was on a Wednesday so benefited from the 2 for 1 main course offer.
Great food, good service and excellent value for money. We enjoyed a good family meal and look forward to returning again soon.
Friendly staff and delicious food
Delightful lunch, mackerel pate was delicious. Cullen skink was almost a main course. Fish was well cooked and Catalan fish stew very tasty.
Excellent food and good service. Can’t fault it at all.
We had a excellent meal. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
We had the fixed price 2 course lunch which is very good value for £13.95. Friendly service. Delicious sole meuniere.
It's been a wee while since I've been in the Fantoosh Nook. The fish and chips were exceptionally good, not so greasy this time which I prefer. We ate everything. Nice and cosy atmosphere on what was a cold and wet day. Lucky to have this wee Nook on my doorstep.
As always a pleasant dining experience with unpretentious but quality dishes, nice relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff. Would recommend this place to anyone who has not been there before. Prices are also very reasonable for a quality fish restaurant. A hidden gem!
Your staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. Only one minor criticism, please could you put some cushions on the seats.
Lovely place to eat, fresh fish & goid service.
We had a marvellous meal, served by very friendly staff. We have told friends and they have booked for next Saturday asking us to join them, how could we refuse?
The food was really delicious. Fresh fish, simply cooked - what’s not to like?
Excellent food. Great service. Great value. Wonderful to have such a fantastic seafood restaurant on my doorstep.
Enjoyed our meal Saturday evening, but was disappointed with the Cullen Skink. It was not nearly as I had had on my previous visit before Christmas. There was very little fish In the soup and it was not very creamy. Also, the mussels were not very nasty. The sole meunière was delicious, the fish and chips were very good and the service was efficient and pleasant. The atmosphere was good, but very noisy.
Great food and service. Our party of 9 had a really good time and enjoyed our meals and the really good atmosphere in Nook. Staff are attentive and friendly. Will definitely recommend it.
Enjoyed my first visit here. Atmosphere and service were really good. I thought the food was not very well presented though. Too homely for a place charging restaurant prices.
