About Equinox Restaurant
Renowned for its multi-sensory culinary experience and breathtaking views, Equinox Restaurant offers a decadent menu highlighting Modern European cuisine.
Equinox takes its name from the time when day and night are of perfectly equal length. It is an unusual phenomenon, which occurs only two days in a year. At Equinox, this “perfect harmony” is a daily happening 365 days a year. The complex reflects Singapore’s international reputation as the “New Asia” back in 2001. Its contemporary design acknowledges this modern city-state’s status as an international port, tourism hub and world financial centre, while incorporating the timeless traditions that define the cultures of Asia.
The restaurant has the most beautiful view in Singapore, the food is usually of very high standard and the service very well executed. The last time it was however slightly disappointing, several of the dishes were not available, which were on the menu, in an establishment like this, you should be able to expect for all the dishes to be available. Also charging $20.00 to have a window seat, is slightly rude, as one of the main reasons people go there is for the view, the food & beverages are already at a high cost, therefore asking for the $20.00 is just not necessary. Previous dinning experiences at the Equinox have been far more pleasant than the last one.
Strongly recommended for visitors to Singapore, to have a bird's eye view of the city, both during the day and at night.
Great service and food.
It’s a place that i’ll definitely return to in due time, i hope it reopens? Or is the renovation for another restaurant’s opening?
We experienced excellent service from staff (I completed a feedback on the day and presented the document to the serviceman at the time I think was Kay Hui) and an enjoyable experience overall the time we had on the 70th floor. rgds Bruce
The restaurant is not fully occupied. However my partner and I was allocated to be near to a few tables. There was one table which was quite noisy and it actually dampened our mood. We were actually celebrating our anniversary. Also, it seemed that the staffs were on very good terms with that table (most likely are their friends) and more attention were given to that table.
Will come back again
Had a dinner reservation on a Saturday night. As always Equinox doesn't disappoint. The food was fantastic and service was of high quality. Atmosphere specifically for that night I'd like to differ tho. It was the first time I had reservation on the first period of dinner service. Place was still 'quite bright' as the sun hasn't set yet and yes, was hoping to enjoy a quiet and quaint dinner over dusk. Got seated and as other guests started streaming in, my table was flanked by families with children. Well one table was with a toddler. Nothing against kids but the table with the toddler, parents should handle her better. Overheard a request from the mum to your well trained service staff, 'Hi possible to serve the food faster cause she (her daughter) is making a lot of noise.' And yes the toddler was getting restless. I mean no doubt it is a family friendly restaurant but it is the job of the parent to handle their own kids respectively. If another table away from my vicinity sees that they got their food first instead of themselves, which they ordered first, how'd that turn out? Perhaps the management might want to consider the age limit for such a sophisticated restaurant, full of ambiance and elegance. Speaking of elegance. Noticed the dinner dress code on your website is 'Smart Elegant'. The mum of the toddler was in shorts and slippers. I can't even explain how hurt I am to have seen such a thing. The thought of it while writing this review burns my brain. I am not implying I am highly elegant or of high-SES. But dress code is there for a reason to comply given that your restaurant is of such status to have one. For my two cents' worth, I would like to appeal to the management to enforce a slightly stricter view on your 'Smart Elegant' portion. In my conclusion, it just kills the vibe and nice ambiance which I, and many other customers who, patronise your beautiful restaurant for a sumptuous meal.
We both had the Irish Grass-Fed steak. It was a lot of meat and very, very tasty! The steak sauce was delicious too! However, I thought the complimentary bread could be a bit "fancier". The reservation, table service and ambiance were excellent! I look forward to returning very soon!
Great view and great experience! Good for special occasions!
Lovely View and Great Service!
Great Ambience Great Food !
Disappointed of the dessert too sweet.
The Customer Service was very gentle and helpful
great place for a meal
No cake for my Husband who was celebrating his birthday
Dear Sir/Mdm, We had a birthday celebration at Equinox Restaurant last Sunday. Here are some issues we faced with the booking of the restaurant. Nearing the date of the booking, the contact person became MIA and did not respond to any email inquiries from me. Despite mentioning that I wanted my 16 guests to be seated together, the booking confirmation page mentioned that “Please do note that there will be no request for side by side” and there was a need to submit credit card details to Securelink by 17 Apr 3pm. Alas no Securelink was sent to me by the deadline. When I emailed back to check if my 16 guests could be seated together as agreed and if the Securelink will be sent, no reply was given. I followed up with 2 subsequent emails and still no reply. After which, when I had no choice but to call the restaurant number, the “middle man” could only give generic answers and “could not answer for the restaurant”, promising to convey my queries to the restaurant. There was still no response close to the date of the booking, and my dad had to personally go down to Equinox to settle the booking details. This episode had caused much distress to us and put us in the possibility of disappointing all our guests who had already given their pre-orders. I sincerely hope that the booking process can be improved, thank you.
Excellent ambience, good food.
Great food, great ambiance, very friendly and knowledgable staff. Place will be refurbished soon which is necessary. Views are stunning. Wine selection on glass could have been a little more elaborate. But overall a very pleasant experience. We’ll certainly be back.
Good service, perfect ambience, although would have been better to have more window seating as we were unable to get one.
Nice place for a dinner to enjoynhe skyline and view of Singapore. The night view is phenomenal. However unfortunately the chairs are not comfortable for you to have a nice and relax evening Alacarte menu is also limited. We had a reservation for 6’pm and when we arrived at about 5:45 there was nobody at the Restaursnt and we thought we had gone to a wrong place. Overall it was a good dinner.
