Poached Chicken in Soy Broth on the wellbeing menu was a standout.
The restaurant was busy and the two waiters did not seem to be enough for the number of customers.
My husband and I order the beef it melts in your mouth
The brisket was so delicious, we can't wait to come back again!
We frequent Embers Bar. It consistently has food served at a very high standard. During our stay we had the brisket - which is their signature dish. The brisket was so unctuous, just falling into pieces with your fork. The food is well presented and delicious. The service is consistently outstanding and the experience sitting by the fire is just lovely. It calls us back time and time again.
We had an issue with our seating arrangement and the staff were very helpful and sorted out the problem for us. This was important as we were celebrating my fathers 70th birthday. The staff went above and beyond for our family and brought out a special dessert for our Dad and sang happy birthday. It was really special and my dad loved it. We had such a lovely evening. Thankyou so much. We have been coming to the Fairmont for a very long time and will continue to do so. We have told our friends and family what a great time we had. Sometimes it’s the small touches that make a big difference. It’s great to see money being spent and the charm and beauty of the place has certainly returned!
Very quiet and relaxing
Food was average. I left feeling disappointed. First time dining here , ordered two different chicken dishes, kids snitzel and chips was disappointing.
Great service / venue. Food lovely - scallops a touch nicer than the prawns.
Food was great and the fireplace was perfect for the chilly night. Only negative was the atmosphere as it was quite noisy and there were kids running around which is ok but not when you're paying mid-high end prices.
Overall, friendly staff, warm atmosphere and good aervice
Great atmosphere, delicious food. Highly recommend. 5 star!
My burger was lovely. My husband’s brisket was served a bit lukewarm but he ate it anyway as he’s generally too nice to complain about these things! Kids loved toasting marshmallows at the end. Lovely ambience with the fireplace.
Always a pleasure to dine at Embers.
The location was spectacular. Personally, we found the food was just okay. The soup was a quite tasteless. For mains, I ordered the barramundi and prawns, and whilst the fish was delicious, the "prawn" (singular) was disappointing. Also, my wife found the linguine heavy on tomato, and not much other flavour. It also took a long time to get served and receive our meals, even though there weren't that many people around.
On arrival we were ignored for quite a while, even though we had booked. We then sat for 55 minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order. Finally my husband asked the night manager to get someone to take our order. The night manager took our order and we waited another 40 minutes for our entree. The fire gradually went out so it got colder and I put my jumper back on. When our entree finally arrived I asked the waiter how long we were going to have to wait for our main meal and they finally realised we weren’t happy and various people started apologising. A different waiter asked whether we wanted to order dessert and I told him we had not yet had our main meal and that we would probably not be bothered with dessert at this rate. Half an hour later our mains arrived and the food was okay, although the side of potatoes was cold. When the night manager asked were we happy with our evening we said we were very disappointed and had never had to say this at an Accor restaurant before. We packed up and went to pay the bill as soon as we had finished the main meal. We’d had an awful evening and didn’t want to spend another minute there. The night manager apologised and took the cost of our entrees off the bill because he didn’t want us to be turned off coming back as a result of tonight’s experience. We appreciated that he tried to make things right but honestly, they need to get their staff organised so that customers’ needs are taken care of and people are made to feel valued. Sadly, we could not recommend this restaurant to anyone and certainly won’t be back.
Lovely restaurant with helpful staff. Could you consider providing some healthier and/or smaller meals suitable for young toddlers?
The view and atmosphere was lovely however the food was average and very overpriced for what is was. Waitstaff were friendly however very slow and lacking experience.
The food was average at best and certainly not up to a standard fitting of a hotel like the Fairmont. Nearly every dish came out cold, which is unacceptable anywhere. The service was slow. Repeated requests for drinks and waiting and waiting should never happen. The only reason anyone would go there is because it is in the resort. The best dish is the club sandwich which is not what you want when going to a nice restaurant- it is room service food. Our waitress was friendly and when we sent food back on the previous evening for being below standard, she was apologetic and we weren’t charged for it and given complimentary chips. We came back the following night. Activity packs for the kids are a good idea. Fire was ideal temperature etc
The marshmallow roasting was a love touch. Great staff and experience !!!
Was a really good experience and the food was really very good
Great meal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers
Polite friendly staff was a nice experience i would dine here again
Whenever we stay a the Fairmont Resort Leura, we look forward to dinner at Embers Restaurant; we are always welcomed warmly, and enjoy the meals. We eat there most nights during our stay, and work our way through the menu. This visit, I enjoyed several things on their Wellbeing-Menu, which gave me the calorie count information that I sometimes need to make wise choices. My hubby loves a good steak; he loved the fillet. We'll be back.
Staff were friendly and food was tasty but the food was cold. The fireplace creates the atmosphere but wasn't lit when we were there 16/06/18 sadly.
