Food and service needs to be better for the money!
Our waiter was fabulous, very chatty, happy & patient with our large group.
Waiting 1.5hrs for a steak that was under cooked. Sent it back to get cooked to medium. Came back completely burnt from the outside and not edible. Worst experience. Wouod not go back
Thank you for looking after out group of 16 people. Everything was perfect and we all had a great enjoyable evening with delicious food and excellent attentive service
We have been coming to The Fairmont for many years and have always found the food and service to be of excellent quality. There is a varied menu to suit many a different taste. The open fire in winter is an added bonus.
Really enjoyed my visit to Embers. A bit on the pricey side so my future visits will be limited to very special occasions.
We enjoyed our meal and the staff were very friendly.
Four of us had no problem making choices from the menu. We enjoyed our delicious meals and professional service.
The food was good quality but not outstanding. Sizes were modest and we needed three courses after a half day bush walk. Service was prompt not rushed. Staff were really engaging and atmosphere excellent. Views outstanding.
Visited Embers for the long weekend with my wife. Had entrees, mains and shared a dessert. The highlights were the staff and atmosphere. Wonderful and attentive staff and the views are amazing. While the meals were good, for the price, they were a tad below expectations. Had a great selection of regional wines while I loved as well. The evening was slightly spoilt as our mains too ages to arrive. Otherwise, great night.
Love how there's two vegan dessert options but please add a vegan burger to your menu. We tried to order a vegie burger but was advised that the main ingredient in it was the haloumi so ordered something else instead. Overall a pleasant experience.
I think this sums it up, quoting from my son : "best Linguini I have ever had in my life...I would drive all the way to the mountains again just for that Linguini!!"
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. food was well prepared and presented at a reasonable cost, especially if you are an Accor member. Highly recommended
Excellent service and delicious food
Great service. Nice views. Awesome atmosphere and downright good food.
We had a lovely meal served very quickly. For the entree we asked for extra toast with the Patte and it was provided with a smile. The main course of Chicken Supreme was at our table within 10 minutes and the sauce included was delicious. For desert we had the Apple crumble served perfectly hot with amazing ice-cream...thanks for a wonderful meal!
I booked a dinner for my family for my wife's birthday one month in advance. I mentioned this special occasion when I made my reservation, I also requested a highchair. Embers made no acknowledgment to her birthday and did not provide a highchair when we arrived. The food was good, not great.
Best food and service
Have a lovely evening and the staff were exceptional. However we all thought the menu lacked options with not a lot appealing to any of our group therefore we ended up with pizza, steak sandwich and a entree as a main between the 4 of us.
Service was very disappointing, all night we had to wait while the staff cleaned tables and prepped for the next day. Then mains of any substance like duck and steak were “sold out” as they needed to save it for the next day. The eye roll when paying the bill at the tip amount was the final straw. Thanks for experience on our special night.
It was a lovely spot and we sat next to the fire. Dinner and drinks were fabulous as well as the service. I suggest that people are not allowed to burn marshmallows next to the tables on each side of the fireplace as it is quite inconvenient and even dangerous (specially with kids involved)
I had a 5pm booking for dinner with my toddler and was looking forward to it as it was my birthday and was travelling solo as my husband was overseas. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered a starter, an entree, and a kids meal, as well as a martini. I told the waitress I didn't want to push my luck with my toddler staying in a good mood so was happy for all the food to come at the same time, which it did about 5 minutes later. It was unceremoniously plonked on my table, with the kids ham/cheese toastie put right in front of me, rather than one of the dishes I ordered for myself. I did the rearranging of plates myself as the waiter (not the waitress who had been serving me) had walked away. I started eating the scallops, which were delicious, but realised I still hadn't received my drink. I waved to the waitress and she said it was on it's way. 2 or 3 mins later, it arrived. I was by that point a bit annoyed and didn't have the energy to send the drink back, but it was cloudy yellow and tasted like it had been shaken up with lemon juice (all I asked for was a gin martini with a twist of lemon). And the goats cheese/tomato starter was the size of a main meal with what looked like about 5 whole tomatoes smashed up on top. The tomatoes tasted old and floury. We were there a total of 40 mins. I found out a couple of days later when I returned home that my Mum had phoned the Fairmont that day and advised them she wanted to pay for my dinner and that a glass of champagne was to be delivered to my table as soon as I sat down. (you don't turn 40 every day, so she was trying to make it a special night for me). I didn't get that champagne and wasn't told she was paying for the meal. What should have been special, was really extremely ordinary. At least I had a nice plate of sweets delivered to my room later on which I assume was compliments of the hotel. Apart from that, I had a great stay at the Fairmont and hope to return sometime soon, but may choose to dine elsewhere.
People who attended to us were friendly and accommodating. The place is in a very good location for sceneries and view of Blue Mountains.
Food was excellent but rather expensive, $26 fora burger with some chips. Service was good.
