About Elliot's Cafe
Brick-walled cafe with a seasonal menu cooked on a wood-fired grill, plus biodynamic wines.
Service was unacceptable. A surly “can’t be bothered” and unprofessional approach by both waiting staff (including the lead person). Part of the joy of Elliot’s is relaxed, professional and knowledgable staff. The food was high quality apart from the leeks and courgette, the leek was watery. I did mention this to the waitress who mumbled very unconvincely about “mentioning this to the chef”. I have been to Elliot’s many, many times over the last four years, i doubt I will be going again. A shame as it was one of my real favourites.
Great food and wine - perfect service
Lovely staff. Knowledgeable about their great food on the menu, friendly.
Excellent food - would have liked a larger portion of fries
A great place with brilliant food
A really lovely restaurant and bar, delicious food and great service. Highly recommended.
Food was good but expensive and staff not very friendly and definitely not worth the 12.5% added service charge. £23 for lunch would be better spent elsewhere in the numerous other food outlets within the borough area
Excellent, highly attentive service and delicious food especially the burrata with roast peaches and cheese puffs, which are divine if a little rich - a dish to share
Service truly welcoming, fun, felt the genuinely wanted to heil. Food great. Wine a bit weird. Only downside a bit noisy, had to strain to hear neighbour. But a great night out.
Food was wonderful and our waitress was an angel
We had an absolutely delightful lunch - celebrating a friend's significant birthday -food was wonderful and the service was impeccable - friendly and helpful
Small portions but excellent helpful friendly staff and delicious food
A favorite, never disappoints
Interesting menu and excellent food, very impressed by the helpful staff. Suggestions that made the meal even better.
Found the menu to be uninspired and bland. Featured side with flat beans was about 90% green peas and about 10% beans. We sampled many menu items and nothing was memorable. Steak was not cooked to the correct temp but the server did adjust our check a bit for that. On the positive side, service was very good and there clearly was an effort in the kitchen to excel, but the night we dined at Elliot’s Cafe, the mark was definitely missed.
Great place with a nice athmosphere
A great place, consistently good with wonderful staff. Fabulous wine list with food to match.
My fiancée and I had a wonderful time. We absolutely loved your food and staff. Special tanks to Chloe, for making this a night we will always remember. Best, Wendy and Dan
The food was good and the service excellent. However your pressurised to give back the table quickly, by the waitress stating they need the table back in X minutes, even on a Wednesday night. Due to the size the tables are very close together so privacy is limited. Nice place for a quick meal but better places around in borough for a nice leisurely relaxed meal.
Simply great fresh produce!
Staff could have been better informed about the wine list and menu to provide advice, especially for the price. Food was really good.
We had to wait a while for one of our party to arrive and the waitresses understood and after bringing drinks and starters left us and didn’t pester for our food order, which was appreciated. Amazing food!
Great food and decor, service was quite slow, and it's a bit pricey for what it is.
