About Elizabeth's Restaurant
A warm welcome to Elizabeth’s, our small family run restaurant in Rochester, Kent. Manuel & Cristina opened this beautiful 16th century Tudor building as a restaurant in 1992. The restored beams, exposed brickwork and classic vintage design pieces create an elegant and comfortable space to enjoy a superb range of food.
The menus reflect our signature European style with seasonal produce sourced from local producers, where possible, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of flavours. We offer a range of carefully selected wines and premium drinks to complement your chosen dishes.
We believe when people visit us, they are looking for quality food, fine wine and attentive service, and this is exactly what we offer. Not forgetting our Spanish roots, there is a Tapas evening every last Thursday of the month so come and try some delicious, authentic Spanish dishes! We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Had Sunday dinner here and it was amazing!! Thank you
Easily the best place me and my fiancée have eaten at, we’ll always be returning again.
Excellent service and good quality food.
We loved every minute of our visit & will definitely be returning before long.
Staff very friendly and attentive. Food cooked and presented beautifully and excellent value for your money. Everything moved on at a nice pace without feeling rushed. To get that sort of service and quality of food somewhere else could set you back twice as much. Am looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.
Another lovely meal at Elizabeth's and the usual impeccable service
It’s a long time since we had been to Elizabeth’s, and we were very impressed. Being a Coeliac I thought there would be a problem but there wasn’t, my concerns were passed to the Chef, and I was advised on selections. The menu was impressive and our party enjoyed their choices. We will definitely be returning soon.
A lovely evening with delicious food beautifully prepared. Pleasant and attentive service.
The quality of food is excellent, we had Sirloin steaks they we cooked perfectly to our request and they were so tender. More tender than fillet steak at other restaurants, the range of starters was fantastic and we had a very tasty complementary cup of soup. A good choice of deserts and to finish off with a superb cafeteria of lovely roast coffee and homemade chocolate. Although the prices are a tad higher than the average restaurant in Rochester, it reflects the very high standard of food and service, hence I gave it 5 stars.
Second time we have been here and food was just as amazing this time as the last. Excellent service, great value for money. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and returning again.
The food was excellent but because my partner was not feeling well, the lack of an option for her to only order a main course meant that some food did not get eaten. We were not in a position to take it with us and found it disappointing to see the food wasted.
Staff brought the cups but forgot the coffee pot which we had to ask for. Other than that, all very good
Another excellent tapas evening, hope to see you again soon.
Excellent service and amazing food.
Fantastic food, lovely service, thank you
We have eaten here many times in recent years, always enjoyably. The quality of the cuisine and the service is very high. The wine list is nicely focused. Elizabeth's is quietly sophisticated without pretensions, and the food is far and away the best available in Rochester.
Superb food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent tapas as usual on our last visit. Nice to see a few new items on the menu. Very much enjoyed the rarebit style savoury to finish the meal.
Excellent as usual
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Elizabeth's on a Saturday night for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate due to the relatively small size of the restaurant. The service was very attentive. I was driving and there was a good selection of interesting soft drinks which were presented very nicely. The food as always, was excellent with a varied menu. The desserts were lovely. All in all we had a fabulous evening and can’t wait to come back!
Return visit to Elizabeth’s did not disappoint. Lovely evening with great wine. The Torbay Sole is to be highly recommended.
A restaurant we use on a fairly regular basis the food is always a high standard as well as the service provided by the owners. Our last visit was last week when 4 of us went along to the Tapas evening where there was plenty of choice to eat served in a great atmosphere, we all greatly enjoyed ourselves, highly recommended.
Both service and food was excellent, although a little pricey. Would recommend going for a special occasion.
We came for Sunday lunch to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful meal. Although there was a set menu there was no problem mixing this with the a la carte. The service was really good. We didn't feel rush or that we had to wait. We usually save going to Elizabeth's for special occasions but have decided we will definitely go more often
this is restaurant for special occasions.
